Can I adjust the screen gamma value? - Nexus 6P Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I think the gamma value is too high. I mean, the dark colours are too dark when the screen brightness is set to low. You might say, "then, just increase the screen brightness!". But if I do so, the bright colours become too bright.
So, I would like to adjust the gamma value. I have found how to adjust R/G/B in the settings, but not gamma. Is it adjustable, or is it fixed in the hardware (something like display panel) and cannot be adjusted?
By the way, I am using Lineage OS, and I think I can get the root access. So, if the gamma value can be adjusted only with the root privilege or by installing some image in the recovery, I can handle that.

Impossible? If so, please tell me that so that I could save the time by not searching for it.

Disable auto dim...

I've got the screen on while charging option ticked...so I was expecting it to stay on in full brightness the whole time and not dim the screen at all. Is there an option to disable the dim?
menu /sound & display /brightness, check mark there for automatic is all I know of as how to set default or use the power widget.

There's also a Power Manager app you can download that lets you setup different profiles. So you could set it to max brightness while charging, then have it dim while its on battery and go even lower if your battery is below 20%. Of course you have to disable the Auto Dim in order for this app to work.
I use the Setting Profiles app for this

Post your color control settings here!

Let's see what everyone is running with all the new advanced color control settings in custom kernels integrated thanks to our kernel devs and @savoca. Thanks all people involved. Now help all of us out and let's get some of those color settings your holding hostage[emoji6]
I'm glad you started this thread. I haven't changed any of the color control settings on my N6 yet. I'm always hesitant to change the RGB or any color controls on my phones. I just don't want to mess the color up and not be able to get it back the way it was or something. I heard about the advanced color stuff getting released a few days ago, so I'd at least like to see some reviews. I don't think my phone screen coloring is bad. Do others really have that issue?

Most noticeable on brightness 15% or so.
Yesterday i compared other lumia 950XL, both brightness 0% (mine is right):

low contrast

Have you noticed the very low contrast that makes hard to play low light games, there are very few levels of black
Check lagom website.
Do you know any way to fix this without any app running in background?

Check this image with your Axon 7. I was able to fix it with screen balance, but the paid version.
Also to test and check you black levels go here:
http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/black.php
There is like 10% to 15% need of increased contrast just before it turns the black in grey.
I also search build prop but I have found nothing.
It is a shame to run always a background program just to fix this. The sound is great! Don't know what were they thinking when choose this dark setting for the screen.

How can I change notch height?

In summer, My Essential PH-1 is hot.
So I changed display size and dpi.
Other things were satisfactory,
but height of status bar and notch is different.
The notch is lower than the status bar.
How can I custom notch size?
My phone is Anroid Pie and rooted.

I changed the resolution and dpi.
The status bar adapts to the resolution, but not the notch.
Now that I see the screen shot is cut off.
I just need to use the original resolution.
Thank you.
