Root: Yes
Carrier: Verizon
Network: MetroPCS
Problem: Wi-Fi calling
Did you do any research: yes
Description: Verizon likes to disable Wi-Fi calling and other things we live like "advanced calling." Is there a work around for SM-G930V to enable Wi-Fi calling for the people who don't have a Verizon account?

So I have a Verizon Samsung Galaxy S5, It's unlocked of course but I have it on Verizon network because I needed Wifi Messaging to work but now that they offical have "Wifi Calling" enabled am I able to take it to say AT & T or Metro PCS and use their Wifi Calling and it'll be ok?
So, I was an idiot and didn't activate advanced calling on my Verizon S5 before switching to T-Mobile. Now when I go into settings and advanced calling, it tells me I need to activate Advanced Calling Features to enable them. When I click activate, it gives me an error every time.
I stupidly thought I could just put in my old sim card and try, but that didn't work either.
Is there any way that I can enable advanced calling and WiFi calling on my Verizon S5 without reconnecting to the Verizon Network?
How can I keep wifi calling enabled on moto g4 plus? Have downloaded activity app, made a shortcut for wifi calling and enabled it, but as soon as a phone call is ended, the app reverts back to the wifi calling OFF position. How can I keep it ON?
What provider you have? From what I know, in US, only T-Mobile and their prepaid MetroPCS have native WiFi calling.

I have the same question:
Phone: Moto G4 Plus XT1641 Dual SIM 2GB/32GB
OS: Android 7.0 (patch level September 2017)
IMEI: 355672081638493
Provider: MINTSIM (T-Mobile MVNO)
MINTSIM sells itself on WIFI talk and text service
Since I am not using that app, I just can suggest to keep the WiFi on and also go into the power settings to exclude the WiFi calling app from being 'optimized'.

I bought this phone online, unlocked & I can't make video calls. I was told to turn on "advanced calling" but the only way is to be on a verizon network.. Is there a work around?
I just now switched from AT&T to T-mobile because I finally got sick of AT&T for various reasons including very high prices. The network lock is removed. How can I get wi-fi calling to work on this phone? When I try to enable it, I get "To enable this service you must confirm your emergency address.". Then I see "Wi-Fi calling lets you make and receive calls over Wi-Fi with your AT&T account. When you use Wi-Fi Calling, information about the country where the Wi-Fi connection is made will be sent to your carrier. Learn more about Wi-Fi Calling.". The last two words are a link to https://m.att.com/shopmobile/wireless/features/wifi-calling.html?referrer=. It seems there's a hangup of AT&T versus T-mobile. What should I be doing to get this working?
In case anyone is wondering, this particular phone is being used because it must be kept unrooted. I have a G900T that has been rooted.
