Portrait like mode for LG G6 camera? - LG G6 Questions and Answers

Sorry if this is a repost but didn't find anything. Is there a portrait mode, or something similar on the stock LGG6 camera app? Or is there a way to get the same effect?

You can use manual camera and manual focus. But there's no setting that does it automatically.

Is there any way to take a photo using the volume keys on the phone?
There seems to be no easy way to take self portraits using the stock camera app.
I don't want that to sound weird but I just want to take pictures of me and the kids and I've suddenly realised how difficult it is to do it with the stock app!
Even a 5 second delayed shutter would be fine..

You do realize there is a front facing camera, don't you?
Try out an app called Camera JB+ Looks just like stock and has what you're asking for.

Lol, yeah I walked right into that one!
I tried the front camera but the quality was not great!
Camera JB+ looks nice but doesn't have HDR or PhotoSphere modes!

Install the cyanogenmod cam. There you have delayed shutter, voice shutter, Hdr and you can take photos by pressing the power button. But it don't have photosphere. There are zips available on xda where you have both cams.

Does anyone know of a better camera app?

The camera on this phone gets really blurry with the slightest of movement and sometimes on the Intelligent auto mode it looks as if the photo has been painted or is a cartoon
Is there a better faster camera app or is the camera just bad on this phone?

[Q] Problem: Videos captured in Landscape Mode have low Volume

Hello, I'm on stock KK only rooted without effectively using the root access, stock Recovery and everything else is also stock.
Here my problem: When I record Videos with the stock camera app in landscape mode, they have very low volume, but in Portrait mode everything is fine.
Does anybody have a solution for my problem?

Don't cover the top microphone when recording.

How to capture clear pictures of the night sky?

Does anyone here know how to capture clear pictures of the stars in the sky? Is it even possible with the S7 Edge?
I'd imagine I would need to keep the shutter open for a long time and have the phone rest on a tripod. The only problem is that I can't figure out how to keep the shutter open long enough. The stock camera app only lets you keep it open for a few seconds.
I've never try it yet, but have you try using the third party camera?

Which 3rd part camera?
I tried it using the pro settings and keeping the shutter open as long as the built in camera app allows but it doesn't let enough light it.
I know I'm asking for a lot considering how small the sensor is and I can get the shots im looking for with a Cannon DSLR and a Samsung NX 500 but I'm just trying to see how I can do with the S7E.

You can try the Lenx app from the play store

Pro camera mode

Where is the pro mode for the camera on the verizon S7e? I've seen it on the AT&T model, and I hope it's on Verizons too.
On my Verizon non edge it is in the samsung camera and pro is one of the modes.

Also, once you launch the camera, you can swipe right on the screen and get to the different modes available. Pro mode is listed there.
Just wish there was a way to set it as default for the quick-launch camera shortcut...
Hope this helps.
