Please, how can I switch back from USA band? I accidentally switched it on whilst trying to set my sim 2 to 3G only because it keeps fluctuating between Edge and 3G and now I don't have service anymore on my phone. Please help

I got something similar going on with the Russian update with my phone that is mainly used in the USA. I suppose I'll have to wait until there is an SD installer for my region?

I have bought a S4 I9505 from German Amazon to use in my country, Belgium. I have rooted it with the pre-rooted ROM from the forum, right now it is on ME2 firmware.
My mobile operator is Proximus. They have recently rolled out the 4g network in the country. I have subscribed to it, and before they activated 4g network for me, the 2g/3g network was working fine. After the 4g activation, I can seem to connect to the 4g network, with the 4g icon visible in the top bar. However, there is no internet connection. What's worse, when I tried to fall back on the "GSM/WCDMA only" option, I cannot connect to the mobile network at all. I have called my operator, but they told me they didn't see anything wrong on their side. So I tried to flash different basebands, from MDM to ME3, nothing worked...
Does anyone have a similar problem or know how to solve this problem? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Did you check your imei? You may have lost that during the rom flash.

I have a Sprint S4 (SPH-L720) which i got from the states. I plan to use this in Canada...was able to root/unlock the phone via SIM Unlock Method posted (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2415587&highlight=sph-l720).
My issue is that i am unable to browse internet or use any apps needing internet on the GSM/UTMS network mode. I have a Rogers LTE chip that i am using and am able to use the phone (voice calling) with no issues. I can use internet on wifi but am unable to when trying internet via the phone chip...i do have a 6GB plan with Rogers and can browse internet when used on another phone.
I had to downgrade the Baseband to MDL/MDC to sim unlock the phone and have later installed MF9.
The software version and baseband now on the phone is: L720VPUAMF9. Earlier had an issue that the wifi was not working, option was disabled...(was getting a message - that an app is trying to connect...) this got fixed after i flashed the kernel version.
Can anyone advice how i can use data from the GSM network and not wifi.. has anyone faced the same issue.
Add your APN for your gsm sim under APN settings.

Thanks guys...i was able to get the APN settings and now my phone works on data from the lte chip inserted.
Now my issue is that my phone does not show LTE....i have another S4 with Rogers and i verified running speed test on a friend's phone to compare...my specs on the sprint phone are almost 40% lower than his phone on the same network..ran from the same location (apt). I tried various combinations i.e. (LTE, LTE/CDMA, GSM) but i can only get 3g or H+.
Any suggestions that i can try...Thanks!
This phone doesn't have the proper bands to work on Rogers LTE.

hello ,i bought one note 3 from verizon (i know their phones come unlocked) but by some reason i can't get any signal,my carrier is TELCEL on mexico and it's GSM.
i even one time bought one bad esn phone and i was able to use it,i don't know what it's wrong.
if i put it on global it won't get any signal,if i choose GSM/UMTS i won't be able to register.
i rooted it and tried removing the set up wizard.apk but i didn't get anything
i know i have something called perso sha 256 ON the hidden menu but i can't find where to turn it off.
i have restored completly to stock but i don't know what else i could do
i have my baseband number and my imei.

You need to change the apns to whatever the apns for your network are also using a vzw phone for gsm is not the best option

Is your phone reading your sim card.. Did the network come up on the screen?

did you reflash the Stock Rom?
You should give it a try if you didnt.(does not void warranty)
Contact google, they will probably send you a replacement if you dont want to mess with it that much.

I'm going to suggest a longshot here. It seems that you've gotten some good suggestions so far, so I want to throw this idea out there.
Have you "provisioned" your phone lately & updated the PRL? Meaning, have you told the phone to connect to your cellular carrier, then the carrier then tells your phone what services you are paying for & are supposed to have & what cellular towers you can use? Doing just this usually fixes all sorts of problems.
Go to Settings (the little gear icon), then More (in the Wireless & Networks). Cellular Networks, Carrier Settings. Tap on Update device config. Let it talk to the network. Tap on OK. After that, Update the PRL. Let it do it's thing. Tap on OK.
No reboot is necessary. It should be making calls, receiving calls & data should all be working.
Also, I keep the Preferred network type to global, although my carrier is CDMA & I'm in the US.

Last time something like that happened to me was, when my old iPhone 6 had a blacklisted IMEI number. I could use all my data with the phone but not text or call anyone. Can you text people through SMS?

Really don't know either then. You said that you tried to change your preferred Network from LTE to 2g/3g but you can't? Are you always connected to LTE then? As far as i know you can't call on LTE.
my phone is also can not call and receive calls,text and 4G are still useful.It just stay in 4g and can not change to 2/3g.Hope someone can help us.

I have a big issue with SMG935V phone. I purchased the phone in US, and I am now currently living in Slovenia, EU. The problem is I can't connect to my local network with my local SIM card. Whenever I enter my local SIM, the info comes up, that says: ''This is not a Verizon Wireless SIM" and the network goes gray, I can't select a new network. I tried entering Access Point Names, but to no success. Last month when I was in US, I brought the phone to Verizon Store, where they guaranteed me, that the phone is unlocked and should work properly even in Europe.
Does anybody have an idea, what should I do?

So now I flashed the U rom on it, but now when I search for networks it says that there is an error... and the phone doesn’t connect to the network

It seems as if the radio was turned off, does anybody have an idea how to access those settings?
