Hello,
I was wondering as to what would be the best smartwatch that accurately measures the heart rate? I don't want it on all the time but I would like it to report my heart rate while I am biking, working out etc.

What is the best Android Wear device today?
Need Android Wear
Best Battery life (ambient mode always)
Heart rate
I think the Motorola watch is out poor battery life (can not keep it on ambient mode)
The Sony Smartwatch 3 misses on heart rate monitoring (it locks up on me intermittently once every couple weeks to month)
But I can not think of any other watches.
.... holding out for now I guess, hopefully the next generation will be better.

I don't think the Sony has a heart rate monitor at all.
Or did you mean your heart locks up on you every couple of weeks? If so, you need a doctor and not a smart watch.

LG G Watch R. Watch battery last me 2 days easily with ambient mode on and has a heart rate sensor. And imo the most normal looking watch design wise.
I bought a new watch today and after adding some new clock faces, the screen started flashing on and off. I flashed the smartwatch and now it's heart rate is not working and heart rate green light is continuously on!
It's amazing how much we actually use our phones in a given day, especially when we watch "videos"! Rate this thread to express how many hours of screen-on time you can get on the BlackBerry Motion before depleting the battery.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
I'm seeing 10%/hour drain with screen on and 1.7%/hour screen off with my first charge (Accubattery app). That's around 10 hours SOT which is on par with my previous Moto Z Play. I wouldn't buy a phone with less than 8-10, this should be the standard all phones seek to achieve.

i use Chinese version X5, mostly for browsing websites and read news on apps
very good battery life
2hrs of SOT, use up less than 20% of juice
Hello everyone....
I am not new here but I just have not posted here in a few years (like 7 or 8 years).
I bought an S10+. The heart rate sensor (flash) gets very hot... it literally burns my finger.
Is that a known issue?
Same problem.. my finger burns too
I installed an app for heart rate measure because samsung health didnt have heart rate option. When the heart rate is being captured thr finger burns so bad that i have to remove it and later place it again.. but its unbearable.. what happened...
