Hi there! My note fe can only get 3g. My model is n935k and I am a current an ATT user. I tried to force the phone to LTE only but when I did that, the phone was totally out of service. No network and no call service. I thought note fe LTE band will be worldwide, so is there any setting that I missed?

1. make sure your APN is ATT Nextgenphone (should have been auto-configured when you booted phone the first time) 2. Try reseting your network settings (this will remove bluetooth and wifi settings) settings->general management->reset->reset network settings and/or 3.Call ATT and make sure your account is (still) provisioned for LTE. i have the same model as you do and have no problem getting LTE service. picture below shows i'm connecting to LTE Bands 2, 4, 5 & 17.
I reset the network setting and still doesn't work. The apn is nextgenphone.

And I have tried some app like force phone to switch to lte. After forcing the phone to lte, the phone signal is lost and become emergency call only.
I had the same exact problem and I'm also on AT&T. Restarting the phone fixed it, at least for now.

if you haven't done this already, consider trying another SIM. I'd also post screen shots of your configurations; could be something we've missed in our attempts to help you resolve your issues.

I followed the instructions like another thread comment said to do but for some reason I couldn't get it to work still but after playing around I was able to get it working.
---- Instructions for enabling: (thanks eyecon82) ----
1. dial ##3282#
2. then click edit (need MSL code) (I used SPCUtility.apk as nothing else worked on my S5)
3. then click LTE
4. It will show LTE ( also known as Band 25), Band 3, Band 26, Band 41 ( I unchecked marked all of these but the LTE option leave that check marked to on)
5. Disable all bands leave LTE check mark to say on.
6. Go to the main directory by hitting back key and choose More at the bottom
7. Choose HDR/1X Selection and choose LTE only Mode. Click OK to save
8. You can either reboot or I just turn on airplane mode and turn it back off to reset the connection.
9. LTE should be working like mine did. But you will not get phone calls until you turn back on the HDR/1X Selection to LTE + CDMA +EVDO Mode but you will get text messages fine.
The items that are underlined in Red are the stuff i added.
---- To tell what Band on: ----
1. ##debug#
2. enter passcode 777468
3. go to LTE engineering menu
I hope this helps because all the other stuff I read would not work for my Galaxy S5 I just bought.
Thanks
One more thing
I read on here http://s4gru.com/index.php?/blog/1/...-due-to-circuit-switched-fallback-technology/
that this problem should be fixed soon but if you need LTE now here it is.

Thanks for the info. However, I think its crazy to want to set it up for LTE when you cannot receive phone calls especially since this is you know, is a phone. Calling Sprint and talking about this situation is useless. They all say nothing is wrong and its the device. I'm really pissed off about this but I enjoy the phone. This will probably be the last Sprint phone I will get.

I use it at night or in places that I need fast internet and when I know I dont need a phone for a bit which is why I have voicemail I just switch over to LTE for a bit and then back...but yes it sucks for now until they upgrade the tower over here with the feature needed to use LTE spark devices.
Im loyal to sprint but its becoming more and more hard to be loyal.
Probably just your area, not the phone.
Your area may have LTE but if it doesn't have the circuit fall back enabled yet (tri-band phones) can't drop the data to allow a call and thus they force you to remain on 3G only.
Once your area has everything done it should get better.
I have similar situation that KILLS my battery at home but in every other part of town it all works great :/

Found out from reading the Sprint forums (https://community.sprint.com/baw/thread/157300?start=0&tstart=0), that this is likely not caused by the circuit fallback, but incomplete rollouts of Spark technology. Disabling the new Spark bands has helped me keep a stable LTE connection. Once the Spark rollout is complete in my area, and Band 26 can support both Voice and Data, I'll re-enable it the new spark bands.

Which bands did you disable? Also, are you able to get voice calls when you LTE?
Im a bit frustrated be the place I spend most of my time (where I used to get LTE fine with my S3) I no longer get LTE and its super slow 3g. Calling sprint didn't help, they just say to wait until cell tower updates are finished in the next 6 months.
If I disable the Spart bands, will I be able to keep LTE and voice? Thanks

I disabled bands 26 and 41. This forces the phone to use the default sprint LTE band. It receives voice calls just fine.

Read the sprint link. Incomplete rollout of spark, in particular on band 26 can cause the issue of not being able to switch between 4G and 3G and back.
Hi,
I can't seem to figure this out, I have the N9005 and currently reside in the US. Anyone knows how to turn on the 4G/LTE on the phone? My provider has 4g/LTE here and want to be able to use 4G/LTE instead of H/H+ that shows on the phone.
Would really appreciate any help. :crying:
Thanks!

1. Change with a root explorer of your choice (e.g. Root Explorer, Solid Explorer or EF File Explorer) the value“false”*in file*persist.radio.lteon*into*“true”*by way of build-in text editor of the root explorer. The file is located in root/data/property. Be sure permissions of*persist.radio.lteon*are set to rw, after altering the file save the file and make it read-only. Reboot your phone, now you will see and be able to pick the option* “LTE/WCDMA/GSM *(auto connect)” in Network Mode menu.*Important: before altering ANY file on your phone be sure you have a copy of the original, unaltered file!!!*Advantage of this solution: even after a phone reboot the option* “LTE/WCDMA/GSM *(auto connect)” will remain visible/activated.
2. When you are afraid or not tech-savvy enough to alter phone files you can download*“Advanced Signal Status” on Google Play. Disadvantage of this solution will be that after every phone reboot you have to start “Advanced Signal Status app” and reactivate LTE/GSM/CDMA option.
Please remember that LTE/4G will only work in area’s with LTE and your phone data-plan includes the use of LTE. Good luck and have fun!

So you have LTE mode selected in settings, but it still doesn't go past H+, and you're sure you're in a 4G area?
Firmwares and secret codes aren't going to solve this.
Your provider likely uses a different frequency than the phone supports.
You could simply look up your provider frequencies and check them against the phone specs. If they don't match, game over.

The LTE frequencies for the N9005 are 800/850/900/1800/2100/2600.
T-Mobile US uses 700/1700/1900/(2100)
The 2100 overlaps, but unfortunately T-Mobile US only uses it as a support network. Meaning it's not active by default. 1900Mhz is the main network.

Wait a moment is your SIM is LTE/4G supported?
Some providers only allow you to connect to the 4G, if you have such contract. For example, I am customer of Tele2 in Estonia and I can not use 4G either, because I currently have such contract, which only permits me to use speeds upto HSPA+.

Well I finally got the roaming "R" out of my notification bar and instead of just LTE it says 4GLTE now just like my previous phone (s5) on Verizon. Data, texts, mms, and calls all work. The problem is it doesn't stick after a reboot. After rebooting it's back to saying just LTE and the "R" is there. If anyone knows how to make it stick can you advise me please?

I just tried that and i got no carrier label and no bars at all. In settings network is unknown, cell network type is unknown, cell network state disconnected. Service state says voice in service and data out of service.
And i just dialed *#*#4636#*#* and chose LTE/CDMA auto prl. Then swiped down my notification bar to enable and disable airplane mode to restart the radios and i have 4GLTE again. Changed the apn to VZW that i had on there i added. In settings everything is on and says Verizon.

I know that this "4G LTE" icon can occur when LTE-only mode is engaged...is it possible you had LTE only and were not connected to CDMA at all? I've had that occur in some fringe areas and I believe I temporarily had the "4G LTE" icon vs. just "LTE" in those cases...though it sounds like you had calling working so I'm guessing this may be a different scenario. Very strange though...

Yes that used to happen when my phone info was set on LTE/GSM/CDMA auto (PRL). But earlier today i changed it to LTE/CDMA auto (PRL) and everything works and the notification bar says 4GLTE. It stayed like that all this evening till i rebooted a few mins ago.
On the phone info page after you dial *#*#4636#*#* there's the 3 dot menu on the upper right side. On that there's an option to select radio band and when you hit it you get 3 options. USA band, band mode 6 and band mode 7. So i picked USA band and on the main page i set it to LTE/CDMA auto prl. I sent an mms to myself and it works and speed test readings is 9.84 dl and 0.91 up. I just can't make it stick after a reboot.

Data Roaming needs to be enabled in order for Verizon data service to work.
Ahh. Well, leave it to Verizon to be that way. I know going through dialer was a option but even with sprint in the past as CDMA on some older aosp ROMs, prl auto wasn't even a solution. Sometimes roaming was preferred instead of prl. So that's why I started with questioning that. If the data entry toggle makes a difference, hen I'm glad that's the solution and rather it be something you can fix on demand as opposed to it being permanent because of a carrier back end problem - - problem being in the community eyes.
Can I ask what APN you guys are using because whenever I do get LTE it says 4glte and also no service

Well i found out with these settings i couldn't access my voicemail. I had a voicemail notification and you can't use the #1 button because it's not supported, so i used *86. It would dial out and connect for a split second and cut off. And i tried multiple times pressing the #1 and *86 to get to my voicemail but couldn't. So back to the old settings with just LTE and the "R" on my notifications bar. Thank you for the help!

These are the APN settings. On the APN type i got 2 different versions from different websites. One says to put "dun" and the other says leave it out. And on bearer one says leave it as unspecified and the other put LTE. This is exactly what i have on mine.
Name: VZW
APN: VZWINTERNET
MMSC: http://mms.vtext.com/servlets/mms
MMS Port: 80
MCC: 311
MNC: 480
APN Type: default,dun,mms,supl
APN Protocol & APN Roaming Protocol: IPv4/IPv6
Bearer: Unspecified
everything else: None or Not Set
Quick note you have to add the above APN. With a vzw sim you can't add one so you have to borrow a gsm sim card either att or tmobile and put it in and add this and save it. Then put the vzw sim and you'll see the one you created. Check mark this APN and you'll be good to go.

Hi,
Since I got the phone, I was unable to receive or make outgoing calls on my MI A1.
Data and txt msging works and I have tried separate sim cards that work in a different phone and was unable to call from the MI A1 so it isn't my sim card that is the problem.
I have tried putting my sim in both the first and the second slot to no avail.
When I have it set to 4g or 2g it begins a call and it hangs up automatically after a minute if I use 3g it is unable to make a call and instantly hangs up.
The phone is running 8.0.0 version of Android.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

I went into network settings and checked my APN settings, they weren't blank. However, I tried and made a new APN that my provider uses, still no luck when calling.
While in the network setting I tried choosing a network and registered my provider's network. This time I got the error notification "Selected network is unavailable" with the dailer giving me "Mobile network not available"
Is it possible that calling is not supported, but 4g and data are?

What country are you in and what band does your provider use?
Also what A1 do you have, it's printed on the back of phone: MDI2 (India) & MDG2 (Global)?
If it's global it will also have a big red sticker on both sides of the box saying "Global Version".
Even with a global phone, still check the bands your provider uses matches the bands your phone has.
MDI2 has limited bands, no band 20 for instance which would stop it connecting in many country's.

Did you ever figure it out? I'm on t-mobile in the US also and calls only work sometimes. I notice that when making or receiving a call the 4G indicator in the status bar will disappear. Seems like the phone is switching to a different band just to make calls and sometimes it can't switch fast enough so the call is missed.

Nope, I returned it.
Mine worked perfectly for nearly a year, and started this about a month ago after an update. So I can no longer return it, but it's pretty useless without calling capability. Anybody else have any ideas?
I have the same problem.

Hi everyone. I have a Leeco Pro 3 X727. I am on Firmware 20s I am having issues to get 4G/LTE signal.
First thing, In my City there is 4G signal, even a couple a days ago I went to my carrier and change my Sim for the newset, just in case.
The last Rom where I had LTE signal IICR was AEX5.4 around May's days. After I changed to CDroid, then to DotsOS... Whatever all I can get its H+ signal. Couple a days ago I change to Carbon Rom 6.1 (Oreos) and the first install, in the configuration I get LTE, but after change to Wifi for finish install all apps, I cant get LTE again. I flashed back Dots, Cdroid and I am now and AEX5.7 and I I have the same issue, just 3G/H+, not LTE or 4G. Also, after flashing firmware 20S I get LTE signal for a While so I think that is not the problem...
I tried almost all APN setting and Nothing. Chang Rom, change Recovery, change Kernel... Nothing just 3g/H+.... My friends with same Carrier have LTE signal...
So, is there anything I can do...? Flash any app, setting?
Help please.

Only use the X7272 5.8.20s firmware - Then you should be able to get it with the correct APN and setting
Don't choose Global, you want the LTE/GSM/UMTS/CDMA setting. If you are still having issues, use the program LTE Discovery or Network Guru.
There are Magsisk
What network are you trying to connect to? What country are you in?
Go to Settings -> Backup & reset -> Network settings reset -> RESET SETTINGS

Nothing. Still "Orange 3G" and conexión icon show H+.
Honestly, I'd say something is wrong with your phone or wrong with your cell towers. The only LTE Band that Orange/Altice supports in DR is B3 (sorta strange that there's only one band, but for a relatively small country I suppose it doesn't matter) and the LEX727 and LEX720 both have band 3, as well as the only GSM(3g)/UMTS(4g) bands that Orange/Altice supports (that being GSM:1800/1900 and UMTS B8 (900GSM)) At first my assumption was that Orange/Altice was a CDMA network, but as far as I can see, there are no CDMA networks in DR!
Edit: download the speedtest app, and see if you're getting the same speeds as a phone that shows it's connected to LTE. If you are, there's no issue besides the phone reporting the connection wrong. If you're slower, though...

Oh! I think I know the issue! When I looked at Orange's website (trying to find network specs, which strangely for a network that supports BYOD, they don't have listed, or at least I couldn't find it) I saw that they have subscribers pay for data, as is standard practice in the US (where I live). But the thing that caught my eye is that you also pay for speed.
So... Let me take a guess here. You pay either RD$1499 Or RD$1349 for their 5mbps unlimited plan?
Basically, my assumption is that if you're paying for one of their lower speed tiers, they put you on a 4g or 3g network to save LTE bandwidth for the people who pay more than you.
Tell me if any of this sounds familiar... I feel like I may've found your problem!

Mmmmm suspect ... actually I have an even lower plan, RD $ 580 (USD$12) and I only use the data when I buy additional packages ... Most times I use Wi-Fi and just use Data when I am not at home/job and the 3G its veeeery looooow speed... Thank bro, that could be the problem.
