Last time I tried it only works on 5.0.2 unless kingroot updated and now you can do 5.1.1 too
Confirmed
Tested and worked for Xperia z1 lollipop 5.1.1 fw. 368
Worked for me.
First link was deleted by google. I tried with the kingroot apk from their site, but it didn't work with that.
EDIT: strange, it did work over Mobile data but not over WiFi. I am now considering you my personal God.

already root with pre-root zip but i wanna try this method, can you mirror kingroot file? because i cant access that file , thanks in advanced.
When I try to put in sh /sdcard/mrw/root.sh it says that the directory doesn't exist. I know it does though. Should I rename my sd card to sdcard? or is there something I'm missing?

Are you using the internal memory, or the external one? If you are using the external, and extracted the zip file there, you need to enter the path on sdcard1. So it's: sh /sdcard1/mrw/root.sh

Ah ok. I read SD card as SD card. Didn't realize he meant internal. I ran it, and it kept coming up with errors that kingroot stopped working. Is that what it is supposed to do? Also now that i have SU on it ( I assume) what next? do I need a specific rom for these? IE I have a telus phone so should I look for a international rom or can I flash any? LOL I am fairly new at Root, and only flashed an HTC M8 but not really sure how to go about the z1. Also is it safe to uninstall kingroot? Sorry and thanks.

[MOD]Add Face Unlock to any ANDROID

ADD FACE UNLOCK TO ANY ANDROID
NOTE:- I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE TO YOUR DEVICE
So finally i have discovered a way to add face unlock to any android by using the Google Smart Lock feature...
This feature is available in most of the android devices:good:...
There are two methods of doing THIS 1. Using ROOT2. Without root(using adb)
LETS START
1. USING ROOT
-download gapps compatible with your android(gapps must be nano or above)
-install ''RAR'' to your phone
-extract gapps.zip to your phone[make a separate folder(optional)]
-open the extracted files and open GApps folder
-here you will find 4 files (1.facedetect-lib-arm.tar.lz, 2.faceunlock-all.tar.lz, 3.faceunlock-common.tar.lz, 4.faceunlock-lib-arm.tar.lz)
-open facedetect-lib-armcommonlib and copy libfilterpack_facedetect.so to systemlib and set the permissions
-similarlly copy all the files and if required create new folder with the permissions and paste the files from all the 4 files
-EX:- copy Face Lock folder to system/app and set permissions
-reboot your device
-open settings>security>smart lock... here you will find Trusted Face option
-ADD YOUR FACE ND ENJOY....!!!
NOTE:- Permissions details will be in second post...
2. Without root(using adb)
I will be updating the fourm later with full adb method details...
BUT, if you want to give it a try... then learn some adb commands for pushing files to system folder and setting up the commands...
Your would have to one by push the files and the folders and set the specific permissions...
***In the screenshot section, the first screenshot is of setting permissions for file and the second one is for setting permissions for folder***
NOTE:- I used es file explorer for doing this modification.
NOTE:- I tried this on a700fd on stock touchwiz android 6 rom... and it worked perfectly:laugh:
***If this helped you, please Press THANKS***
***For any query, REPLY***

I have tried root method and is not working for me. I'm on Havoc OS Android AOSP 9.0 on a Xiaomi Mi Max 2 device.
Your guide isn't clear at all but I think that I made all the steps. When I reboot the phone, folder with files added in system/app are missing and of course the face unlock option at Smart Lock menu is not present. Seems that Android erase the files by itself, don't know why.
Thanks anyway.

maybe this is a newb response but if the files aren't in android 10 it shouldn't matter since this mod is putting the files there. So the files will be there. Maybe the dev that started this thread or someone with more experience can chime in here because thats exactly why im here. They removed the faceunlock framework from opengapps and i figure if they can remove it then it can be added back. I kinda feel like something will still be missing if you do this mod alone on android 10 though. I would like to know what exactly they removed from opengapps and then compare that with the files in this mod and maybe the 2 combined should get it working. Thats the line of thinking that im on. Sometimes it's that simple. I mean look at how many features can be turned on with flags and simple build.prop edits. I'm just not sure exactly how the face detect and faceunlock was removed and i need that little piece of information to grasp the scope of the problem a little better. Anybody Tried this on lineage 17 or any other android 10/q rom yet?:silly:

[P][G8141/G8142][.306] M-ROM P v1

I DID NOT CREATE THIS ROM OR THE RECOVERIES OR FLASH TOOLS LINKED, I ONLY MODIFIED THE SYSTEM UI AND SETTINGS AND BUILD PROP ZIPS BELOW.
I am not responsible for any damage (if any) to your device, data, life, job or anything else you'd care to think of.
ANY QUESTIONS, PLEASE ASK IN THE THREAD AS EVERYONE BENEFITS, PM'S WILL MOSTLY BE IGNORED.
IF YOU DON'T HAVE AN UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER YOU MUST FIRST UNLOCK IT.
Download all files you want/need to your PC/External SD before starting...just saying.
[/CENTER]
Step One

Flash stock firmware for your device that the rom is based off. Readily available from Xperifirm (attached to flashtool - Bonus!), or XDA. Flash via Flashtool or Newflasher. Again, there's plenty of guides on using flashtool and newflasher, i'm not covering that here.

Step Two

Once flashing has completed, turn the device on and allow it to fully boot. Complete the setup process, and log in to your google account. Move the ROM file you already (hopefully) downloaded to internal storage (IMPORTANT STEP: I had symlink errors flashing the ROM from the External SD Card). I normally disable auto-updates in the Play Store/Whats New apps and then let it rest for 5 minutes.
Step Three
Turn your device off, boot into FASTBOOT MODE, and flash TWRP (fastboot flash recovery TWRP/ATWRP.img). If you don't know how to fastboot, see above re: XDA/Google. Unplug your device, wait 10 seconds, then boot into recovery (Hold power and volume down together, release both at at the vibration). Tick the checkbox then swipe right, and the first thing you SHOULD do is go to settings and turn the damn vibration off.
Step Four
DON'T WIPE ANYTHING!!! You are installing on top of an already clean installation, its pointless. Press Install, select the XPERIA_PIE_XZP_1.0.zip file you downloaded earlier, and swipe right to install that sucker. Don't freak out when it takes 5 to 8 minutes for the recovery screen to change, its doing its thing, trust me. Once you get the all clear and the button down the bottom says reboot, that's pretty much all that's left to do.
Step Five
Once the phone reboots, let it settle again for a while, and deny all the requests the Chinese apps throw at you. After a few minutes, go into the root explorer app, allow root permissions when it requests it, then go to system/priv-app and delete any app starting with TG. Unless you really like Chinese bloat, in that case, proceed to set up your phone as usual.
The ROM is pretty basic at the moment but given time and based off the Oreo series, more System UI mods will become available with later versions.

ADD-ONS
And now we have a few add-ons. You don't really need any of these, but its XDA and if you've come this far you obviously like flashing stuff so here we go...
The Modified Animation Values zip has one extra setting added in developer options, to the animation duration settings. .25 duration has been added (extra fast). Theres no real point to this other than making things seem quicker, but this zip has the added bonus of having the XZ3 Settings.apk included. (Stock XZ3 settings.zip also supplied) FLASH IN RECOVERY

Stock Settings: https://mega.nz/#!HQwSSCAC!T3rPbcPLCCVVcMVCZGk3cDKp6DreHtjVYxEcRer3ORQ
The Rounded Recents zip has a modified SystemUI.apk that has (surprisingly) rounded recents modified into the apk. I have also pushed all the right side status bar icons across a little and shortened the space between the data icon and the battery (stock SystemUI.apk zip supplied). FLASH IN RECOVERY

Stock System UI: https://mega.nz/#!qEpQwIYT!6QDuEWPHiWT111ah2X39z2UzcXvpmEqO2KlAnNpnA_E
The G8141 build prop zip has a build prop modified to say G8141 for those picky (like me) and don't like seeing G8142 in about phone. If you have a G8142, ignore this whole bit about build.prop. Unzip the file and move the file with a root explorer to /system and apply R-W-R-R permissions and reboot.

Last but not least, is the Deodex patch (COMING SOON - UPLOADING) for this ROM. Expect lengthy boot time first go, and then longer than usual every time after that. If you flash this zip, your keyboard will be removed, unless you have a keyboard already installed from the Play Store. YOU WILL HAVE NO KEYBOARD AFTER FLASHING THIS ZIP UNLESS YOU ALREADY HAVE ONE INSTALLED FROM THE PLAY STORE! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! TWICE!!!

[ROM] CrDroid from MI A3 working on CC9e

Hey guys !, I have testing the system.img of the CrDroid Rom from Mi A3 and it works great, everything works on our CC9e (I have been using it for some days and works very well)
You need an unlocked bootloader , a TWRP working on your device, you must be on xiaomi.eu miui 12 (in order to get android 10 vendor) and some files listed below:
1- Crdroid Rom from Mi A3
2- Payload dumper
3- Magisk 20.x
If you wanna test it follow the next steps:
A) Extract the payload dumper.zip you will get a payload imput folder, payload output folder and payload.exe file
B) Open the Crdroid rom. zip with 7zip or similar and copy the payload.bin file to payload_imput folder
C) Open the payload_dumper.exe file and wait until the window close automatically, then copy the system.img file from the payload_output folder to a otg device, internal memory or sd card
D) Enter to twrp format data, then go to wipe option, slide to wipe data and cache partition, then go to install option and flash the system.img file in the system partition (the file that you copy to device in the step C)
E) Once the system.img is installed, don't reboot , just go back to install option in twrp and install magisk 20 zip, once it is installed just reboot and enjoy crdroid rom

The Vendor from the MIUI 12.5 by xiaomi.eu, which is based on Andorid 10.
Seems that the way I installed the Crdroid can't load the driver correctly. I tried to install the Evolution x which is based on Android 13, the audio module still can't run correctly.
ps. I tried to flash the vendor.img from evolution x. The CC 9e can't load the system successfully. It stuck on the loading screen of evolution x, which appears after the Mi Logo.
I will try to install Evolution which is based on Andorid 10 soon. Hope everything will work well.
is there any error or bugs in this rom?

Would you like to provide the forum or links of the rom?
I have tested the evo 4.6 and it couldn't boot. But the CrDroid Rom runs correctly.

I'd like to try the rom later.
And I will try to install the vendor from MIUI 13(Android 11) and retry the Evolution which was based on the Android 13.
I will stay on the A13 if the speaker works well.
So,do you need the link of evolution x right now?
