How t black out screen on call receipt

I would like to know how to just get my phone to "black out" the screen when I receive and "Accept" a phone call, like one of the s2u2 settings.
That one feature would be great because I can't get s2u2 working consistently on my phone (HTC Sprint Vogue).

try using 1.16 it seems to work the best for me on my touch

i tried it but s2u2 (also 1.16) does not work well on my Vogue.
Isnt there an app that can just black out the screen like that one particular feature in s2u2? AC figured it out for his app...

I have just installed a rom it has a slide down cover (see below ) to hide keypad is that the sort of thing ?

I have the vogue as well and thats why I told you to try the s2u2 1.16 version I haven't had any issues with it, I am not aware of any app that exists just for the blackout function alone

This is working fine. When you make a call, it vibrates and turn the screen off.
To end call, juste push the red button.

SD card or Sim Card Notification in Hero

Hi I have a notification in the task bar that I can work out what it is. I am using Fatal1ty Hero 1.4 rom.
It is either a sd card or a sim card with a little gear beside it. I assume it is for settings of some type. When I pull down the notification bar it is there but clicking on it does nothing and there is no way to clear it.
I have looked in the magic manual and can't find an reference to this type of notification.
Any ideas what it is for?

I realise this is a super old thread but I have this on my nexus one & I really want to get rid of it. Anybody know what it is? I'm on Vodafone NZ

Looks like a sim card issue.
Turn off your wifi and try to connect to data.
Can you call out?

um....does anyone know weather it will block the call all together or will it cut the call after the first ring?

Thanks for your efforts. This works - kinda. Stops the call (after a ring and a half) and the caller goes to messagebank where they can still leave a message - that you have to delete later. Notification of calls still come through. Nice interface, simple to use and I suppose it does the job - saving you from picking up the call to the blocked caller.
I do the same by naming and saving the caller as PEST in contacts. Same outcome.

The caller must think we refused the call because it calls one time and half.
Would be nice if it goes just to the message.

"Please Call Me"
"Enter Password"
"Emergency Call"
I even Flashed a different Stock firmware but still Strucked On That screen

That sounds like a SIM card issue. I could be wrong.

even if I remove the sim card....still getting that screen...

So??? Enter password & modify settings, that's all...until u explain how this happened, I don't think anyone can help u with their ideas.

What does the icon of a phone next to a circle with a line through it signify?

I don't know where I can look up icons. I have a V20 and now I notice I have a phone next to a circle with a line through it. My ringer is enabled and it rings when I get calls. Not sure what that indicates.

It is the area above where screen capture grabs - the smaller top bar which I think is a separate screen.

Very interesting. I have a H918 TMO and have never seen this even when in airplane mode or sound off. Which phone and what firmware do you have?

The V20. Latest official firmware.

It may be you have a missed call, new voicemail messages, or that you don't have VoLTE or VoWiFi (Voice over LTE & Voice over WiFi) working/enabled/supported. They provide HD voice, better latency, and clarity over normal calls. What phone model is your V20? What carrier?

Thanks I have the Verizon V20 - I think they call it something like the V9995. I have HD voice enabled - very happy with that feature as I spend a LOT of time on the phone. I'll try clearing out the voicemails.
