Anybody know how I can flash the Dolby atmos app for this phone? The speaker sound is too squeaky on custom roms( right now on resurrection remix)
I already tried using Magisk, but the app(created by yash98) would not open.

I've been using the LePro module + V4A FX module for some time. It broke once though (Dolby didn't open for some reason just like you described, SELinux changed to Enforcing so V4A broke) and the only thing that fixed it was a clean install of the ROM.

Just some advice: I think the best rom is NucleaROM, but it was where I had the problem. Also don't try to install Pure Nexus, don't know if it's fixed but it bricked your phone horribly

How exactly you install ? How did you test the sound actually ? What DSP are working as they say a lot like SRS, Viper, Dolby etc., ? Which kernel you are using ? I am new (was away for long time) so dont know where to test those settings.
Thanks

I see. Can you tell me how to enable and test Dolby, SRS effects in these mods ? There is another mod: http://forum.xda-developers.com/cro...d-kitakami-sound-mod-prototype-t3361092/page7 which I'm using now and works good (v4a by installing the lollipop version and system defaults), but no idea about SRS, Dolby effects as i did not get any of those apps after installing the mod. Do you have any idea ?

Note: I Haven't developed this, I just found this and thought it would help if I shared it......
I've noticed there isn't a thread for ViPER4Android on the Stock ROM........... Installing ViPER4Android on custom ROMs like CM, AOKP, AICP, Turbo, etc. is really easy. Whereas installing it on a Stock ROM is really difficult....
So here are the steps on how to do so:
1. Wipe Cache & Dalvik in recovery
2. Then install the 4 zips in the given order.
3. Wipe Cache & Dalvik again
4. Reboot
5. Then install the update apk, SELinux Mode Changer and busybox installer apks
6. Set SELinux to Permissive and install busybox
7. Install the drivers through the ViPER4android app and reboot
8. Make sure SELinux is Premissive
9. Profit$$$$$
I think Dolby Atmos is better than viper4android. Because almost kernels for qualcomm soc support dolby sound

I personally use ViPER4Android cause I'm used to it and find it very easy to use (Like to improve bass).
Also I just couldn't get Dolby Atmos to work on the Stock ROM (6.0) running ur kernel

I am using chriszuma kernel with dolby atmos. All work well
I don't know if you guys know about the project A.R.I.S.E (Link- http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/r-s-e-sound-systems-auditory-research-t3379709/), it's probably the best thing to happen to android.
You should definitely check it out. And it's totally compatible with stock 6.0.
V4A and Atoms works wonderfully together. It's like sounds you've never heard before. :good:
Maybe I'm exaggerating.
Can anyone suggest a working audio mod for the latest stock update ..I tried magisk ..it didn't work ..if there is any mod working ..please provide the link
Thanks
Honestly this is the main reason to understand my "love and hate" relationship with the stock rom. It's great, in terms of performance is even better than any custom rom i've used, but i tried every single method to get ViperFX working here, and i couldn't, always shows 'Processing: no' in driver status.
Regarding to your question Dolby Atmos is working. but i personally think that it's nothing compared to ViperFX.

Yes, sure. I always tried using The SElinux Toggler. But it didn't make any difference, it only happens to me on stock rom, in other roms i just use the ViperFX Magisk Module and works perfectly.
You have been able to get v4a audio processing working in the stock moto's rom?
Thanks in advance.

It works also with magisk.
Use Selinux Mode Changer and make your kernel permissive.
Uninstall or close every sound tuner what comes with the rom. Now flash Dolby Atmos and reboot. Sometimes it needs a second cold boot to come up.
Firmeware version?
It seems that this doesn't work for original Le Eco CDLA headphones. I have tried but can't notice any changes to sound quality.

It absolutely works with CDLA. Keep in mind that some program, such as Poweramp use their own internal EQ, compression and Reverb. Power amp will allow you to choose to use the systems DSP effects ( if you select the option in settings) while some audio players will not.

The reason why you see that message has to be with the android version (8.1) that you try to install. That mod would work fine with a previous android version like 7.1 (lineage 14.1 or backwards). See also developer specs for install.
The only way that you can get Dolby or Viper working with recent Oreo builds is to change SELinux to permissive. Then you can install whatever you want, then change SELinux back to Enforcing. I am on the current build of Lineage and ViperFX works just fine.
