What do you need bro? I got G2 D802.
Have you try hardware factory reset press button: Power + Volume Up, when see LG logo release and press it again to get to reset screen.
What you can do with adb. may be you can flash recovery I think.

I tried flashing ROMS, they crash and burn each time. I can only sideload mostly. I can also run from recovery. I can run adb and I found the backup and restore commands: if I can restore a perfect version of the phone through here, I can get it to work. I have 30 mins to do so: please help. but thank you!

You have and can use TWRP recovery? If yes then why don't restore from your backup?
May be you need more time or come back to the phone later, 30 minutes is already gone.

Additionally, a TWRP backup would also work, I believe. I might have to leave this till after France, meaning a phoneless holiday I'm guessing...

Sorry just saw the reply. I cannot restore from backup because stupidly I didn't save oneeeeeee ;-; and I leave at 6:30 UK time, so I have some time. What I'm asking for is a backup of the phone, so that I can restore and work and then restore stock on that. Thanks for the help

Alright, I am back. I can use ADB Push, but where do I push the file? I have pushed into /internal-storage/TWRP/backup and just TWRP and just internal-storage, but my phone doesn't seem to find the device when I go for a backup. Will the TWRP version of 2.6.3.2 make any difference?

Sorry, did you download the backup and place under your phone internal storage path: TWRP/Backup/Yourdevicename/
You need to put my backup folder: 2017-02-24--09-54-10_Lp5.1-powerG2-Bra-4.2Gb, under it.
If you can use TWRP I think you should flash new TWRP version 3.0.xxx, 3.0 or above should work. You can download it from official web site.

You can also flash TWRP use adb/fastboot via download mode I think.

If you cannot use TWRP just flash it first use Adb, then you can enter TWRP maybe can copy file from pc to G2 in TWRP mode.
Adb commands just Google for it:
Try this (worked with subfolders): adb push mySourceFolder/. myDestAndroidFolder UPD: empty folders do not copy to android device.
or this: It requires a trailing slash for me: adb push mySourceFolder/. myDestAndroidFolder/
I am not sure if you need the TWRP path with device name for the backup: /TWRP/Backup/Devicename/
If you can enter TWRP you can back up boot image or something to have the path with device name. Then maybe you can also connect the G2 with USB cable to pc while you are in TWRP mode maybe you can copy the back up file directory I am not 100 percent sure.

Hi guys! The backup didn't work. I managed to get it through and restoring, but I saw that some files were missing? Not sure, but please may I have a full backup of the G2? Make sure all the boxes are ticked, as I don't think it's the system at fault here

Place the file within TWRP>BACKUPS folder in your SD card.
I did a factory reset via TWRP pior to backing-up and did not notice some of the apps (Most Google Apps and some stock Huawei apps like Compass, Mirror, etc.) went missing. So after restoring the back-up, you may restore those missing apps by doing the following:
1.) Download the Stock MM recovery
2.) Boot to fastboot mode then flash the stock recovery.
3.) After rebooting phone boot to stock recovery mode.
4.) On stock recovery choose "Wipe Data/Factory Reset". Once back on the phone will regain all lost apps/icons

I can't remember well but i think I went into recovery (TWRP) to restore a backup
If you cannot go into twrp recovery either to restore a bckp or to flash another rom you need to go into the fastboot procedure, flashing img files from PC. But yoy can see this procedures on other threads
urgently need Stock MM recovery,plz

[Help] Anyone have boot.img or NotoColorEmoji.ttf file for nougat x Style?

Basically i rooted systemlesly and changed my emojis to the IOS ones with an app on the playstore. Then i reset my phone because of reasons. Now i want to remove my root and get magisk and xposed. To do this i need to remove my SU root and flash magisk, however magisk will only flash with an unmodified system.
This is where my problem occurs. When i reset my phone my original emojis were removed, leaving me with the IOS emojis. I made no backup of my original emojis. When i click restore emojis on the app no emojis change, and when i install the nougat emojis from the app my system is still considered "modified"
Therefore, im asking if anyone has a boot.img of my Moto x style, as i think flashing that would fix it. I also think that if anyone has the original NotoColorEmoji.ttf file, i can replace it with mine and it could fix it aswell. If anyone has any of these 2 files it would be much appreciated ??

For sure you should have your own backup.
Why don't?
I'm not sure but boot(kernel) should work. @XxperexX
Do full backup first.
In supersu thread shoul be su uninstaler.zip.

Ive already uninstalled supersu, i just said no when it asked to restore ti stock boot because when i chose yes it said failed. The only backups i have are of marshmallow 18-8 and nougat, but with the changed emojis (pretty stupid on my part)
I also have no idea what u mean by boot(kernel)
Sypersu(magisk too) modify boot partition(kernel), both are systemless.
If you want change susu to magisk you need uninstall susu and restore stock boot.
I haven't now supersu but I know it is backing up stock boot and can restore it when uninstalling.
This option is in supersu app.
/Supersu on MM needed to make folder .su if I good remember, maybe you didn't do it/
You can stay at what you have or restore boot + system(linked) and format/wipe data, cache, dalvik. @XxperexX
You can't downgrade now - bootloader is Nougat, you will not get ota.
Sorry for my english.

Lol its fine. Well eventually i managed to install magisk. I downloaded the boot/sys backup from https://forum.xda-developers.com/mo...gust-2017-security-patch-nph25-t3673373/page3 and restored it via twrp, then flashed magisk and it worked

Moto X pure Boot only recovery

Good Morning everybody,
so yesterday was a rough day and when it eventually end i recive the october security update on the phone, without thinking i installed it and the phone does not boot up , instead i face my recovery (TWRP 3.1.1-0).
Of course i've made a mess because i was on stock rooted 7.0 on my retEU XT1572 phone with unlocked bootloader and status 3
i've tryed to restore a previous nandroid backup wihtout success, so today i downloaded the new RESURRECTION REMIX v5.8.4 (4 december wich is based on stock android 7) but i have no luck even with that...
Do i miss something?is there any rom to try with now? or i have to make a downgrade of my firmware to make it work again?
thanks in advice!
UPDATE:
phone boot now but always in recovery and after rebooting in bootloader i can reboot system from there.. it seems that if you download an update and the install process doesen't go in place every time you restart the device it always try to re-flash it, that's why i'm always in recovery.. i foun a similar post with this solution but i think it need some changes before it will work on our device (but i don't have the knowledge to set it right :S )
LAST UPDATE:
boot fixed by using this command in twrp recovery
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/platform/f9824900.sdhci/by-name/misc
misc file running at the startup redirecting the boot in the recovery, put blank in the file let the system boot up normally
You missed very much.

oh thanx man! i've already seen that post but i wasn't sure that it can work for me. i have some question befor starting:
1) i need the new twrp 3.2 to flash resurrection-remix? because as i mention before i've already tried to flash it with twrp 3.1 and it doesen't work (the rom is the same that you linked page40 post #397 )
2) do i have to flash stock-xt-1572-reteu-7-0-ddumped-files before point 1)?

1. I think so. 3.2.x will be needed for future builds.
1a. You flashed RR for MM modem.
2. No, but this is only way to get ota update.
"swearing in italian" it was a twrp bug.. after a backup restore if you hit restart the phone restart in recovery, you need to boot into bootloader and reboot system from there -.-
thanks to all of you guys!!
strange fact, now if i turn off the phone and again on i'm still on recovery, i have to reboot bootloader and system from there.
i think something is pointing at the recovery instead system..

you can also use link2sd to disable the update app so it doesn't bother you,
or wait untill someone create a zip of the update and flash it into recovery.
thanks, that worked for me as well.

Requesting boot.img from December update

Hi, I have nougat with magisk December update, and I'm trying since 2 days to update it to the latest version (can't install the 60 MB update, probably cause magisk) so I'm looking for a clean boot.img in order to flash it in recovery (my magisk boot.img backup is screwed)
Thanks

Should I really extract 3gb just for a boot.img?
Can't download the while update right now, if anyone got it please upload and send us a link! It'll be much appreciated

Well, not exactly. You can browse through the zip. It should be there inside some folder. Send me a link to it, I too need it!
But yes you have to download the whole update to get the boot.img
Ok, extracted the boot.img, flashed using twrp image flash (selected boot) and bootloop. Gotta lose some data now...
Use MiFlash tool to flash the update!
You'll not lose your data!

Use MiFlash! Check out the tutorial for it, it's not that hard. Plus, you get to keep your data!
I cant seem to find the update anywhere..
Dude you just downloaded it, didn't you?
Yeah but its the full rom, will it reset my data?
Not if you use the MiFlash tool. It's for windows. Download it, install it to your windows machine. Search for its guide, its not that hard to follow!
Thanks a lot guys, I flashed system with mi flash and I did not lost data, I'm also finally installing the update. One last question: Now that system is reflashed, does that mean that it is completely stock? I mean, are boot.img from slots a and b totally stock?
Flash stock rom whith MI tool flash

nvm fixed my issue
So upto magisk v18.0 works fine. However, 18.01 causes the phone to go into dfu mode.
It is important that you only update magisk manager, not magisk itself.

Even though it says I have 18.0 installed, whenever I download a module it says that I need version 17.0+ which sucks because I really want to change the fonts. Whenever I try booting into twrp to manually flash, it never shows my files, no matter where I put them, I tried using Es file explorer to move them to/system/bin but it says operation failed every time so I do not know what to do at this point. I cant flash files via twrp or magisk and I really would like some help on this.

If so can you give me a detailed explanation on how to flash modules through ADB, seems that it is my only option until Magisk lets me download what I want. All I want to do right now is change my fonts so I can get rid of these blob emojis. If it helps, the file I'm trying to obtain offf magisk is called IOS 12.1 Emoji but like I said, it says I need v17.0 to install and gives me installation failed everytime
Good ****!!!!
Since a lot of people are having problem with magisk all just rebuild my boot.img so you won't have to add the su file. Then hopefully people would use it because it currently up to date without any issues I can find

---------- Post added at 05:03 AM ---------- Previous post was at 05:00 AM ----------
I can boot into normal recovery but i cant flash any of the stock firmware i can find....
For z970 , that is a easy fix, get your twrp firmware backup and restore it ...Don't tell me you don't have the backup...I have backup but it interludes my person things together

It actually does work. With the latest magisk, all you do is download the xposed sdk 25(Android 7.1) module on magisk and then download xposed 3.15 apk installer and xposed will work. I have been using it all day and already have some xposed modules installed:good:
