I've read the previous thread that only H870 European version is the model that can be rooted/modded. I am trying to buy it at Amazon, (I have a gift card), but it seems that their title and description does not match. Title says H870, but on their description below says H870DS. And is H870 Eu version only comes in 32gb? Can someone link me the right one if you bought yours at Amazon? Or if not, where did you get yours? Thank you very much, appreciate your help and feedback.

Can I start by saying what a fantastic website and community. I really hope that my problem can be solved here. If not, then please advise me of the actions I need to take.
I recently bought an Orange SPV M3100 from a friend in the UK but cannot use it in my home country, Slovakia. It only works in Slovakia with a UK sim card but not with any of the Slovakian sims that I have.
I am completed new at this and think I may have found the right link to proceed with trying to unlock my M3100 but I just wanted to make sure that I am about to do the right thing.
So, am I right in saying that all I need to do is go to this posting here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=325748 then click on the 'MrVanx’s Hermes Upgrade Guide' link and go ahead and upgrade something called my ROM or have I completely missed the point?

Hello , I bought a device LG-LS980 G2 32GB memory from ebay, but unfortunately it is locked to the provider of the country where US and does not work in my country Greece , I tried many times to contact the seller from ebay but I did not have any answer, and I would like if possible from someone who knows and has good mood to give me step by step instructions to unlock, the handset is locked to SPRINT .
I also check out the IMEI of the device delegation of LG in my country if stolen , luckily not ..... well in my country only released version of the device with 16GB memory.

I bought this model ( SM-G935P ) on ebay and the phone is coming from the USA. Only knowledge i got is that it has bad ESN. That should not be a problem here in the Netherlands so i thought...lets give it a try.
The phone does not recognize any dutch simcards so im pretty sure it has a sim lock. My question is ....can i unlock this model here in the Netherlands? The device does not ask for a unlock code just says "Invalid simcard".
I dont want to spend any money on a local shop with the result that they cant unlock it.
I hope someone can help me out or point me in the right direction!

Can it be that the phone is on CDMA and thats the reason it cant read my simcard? I also saw something about U firmware?

It needs to be unlock , then put the U firmware on it to open up all your bands , I can do the unlock on it if you root it , pm me

Why don't you get a G935F? It is BL unlocked and sim unlocked. I believe.
Are all H870's european? if not is there a way I can tell before I buy? for example: "LGH870.AGBRPL", does anyone know what the "AGBRPL" stands for?
