First post here on this great forum.
I bought this model ( SM-G935P ) on ebay and the phone is coming from the USA. Only knowledge i got is that it has bad ESN. That should not be a problem here in the Netherlands so i thought...lets give it a try.
The phone does not recognize any dutch simcards so im pretty sure it has a sim lock. My question is ....can i unlock this model here in the Netherlands? The device does not ask for a unlock code just says "Invalid simcard".
I dont want to spend any money on a local shop with the result that they cant unlock it.
I hope someone can help me out or point me in the right direction!
Ps , forgive me ignorance. Thought all new phones were sim lock free.
Ps , the phone is flashed with stock firmwar "AP_G935PVPU4APL6_CL9917700_QB11986798_REV02_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar"
Can it be that the phone is on CDMA and thats the reason it cant read my simcard? I also saw something about U firmware?

It needs to be unlock , then put the U firmware on it to open up all your bands , I can do the unlock on it if you root it , pm me

Why don't you get a G935F? It is BL unlocked and sim unlocked. I believe.

guyz i really need your help on this if anyone could just give me some advice any piece of advice is worth gold right now ,,,basically i have a wing and is locked to t-mobile i've been trying to unlock it but for some reason it's not accepting the unlock code i dunno if it's something im doing wrong or what , i've tried reseting the phone and nothing seems to work....and the worst thing is the phone is not even for me it's for my girl i purchased it for her for christmas and now i think im screwed i didnt get any back up gifts so pleaseeeeee help me out guyz
If it's a SIM unlock and you got the code from Tmobile, I would call up tmobile's support. If you didn't get the phone from Tmobile directly, then I'm not sure how else to SIM unlock these guys. Sorry.
haven't tried it myselves but I have read something about IMEICHECK to unlock your device. Search for this by using the search function. It is a problem which has been tackled earlier. Seek and thou shall find
Thanks I'll Do So, But What Exactly Does Imei Check Mean Or Do??.....BECAUSE I HAVE THE UNLOCK CODE WHICH I GOT FROM T-MOBILE AND I GUESS THAT WAS TO UNLOCK THE PHONE BUT IT DOESNT SEEM TO WORK....... hey guys I bought the phone off someone online and I can't return it.the Knox warranty is already void .I am not able to make calls or send texts and no mobile data button also.It says not registered on network as shown in the attached pictures .I rooted it but that didn't help so I got the official firmware and still the same problem can someone please tell me what's wrong with this phone ? It might be locked but I don’t know the provider already tried Virgin Mobile and Telus SIM cards still not working! Could it be radio locked ? And if it's network locked how can I get it to prompt the screen where I enter the lock code ?? Phone info in the pictures thanks

Hello , I bought a device LG-LS980 G2 32GB memory from ebay, but unfortunately it is locked to the provider of the country where US and does not work in my country Greece , I tried many times to contact the seller from ebay but I did not have any answer, and I would like if possible from someone who knows and has good mood to give me step by step instructions to unlock, the handset is locked to SPRINT .
I also check out the IMEI of the device delegation of LG in my country if stolen , luckily not ..... well in my country only released version of the device with 16GB memory.

sorry, I am new to the area , I did search and found many threads about unlocking but got lost and it took off the edge , enough of what I have written seem somewhat alien , but I downloaded some tools ask me a password provider or technician LG, I do not want to do damage to the device and so I ask help from you that what you experienced also my English is not very good and some things you do not understand and that I do with google translator.

You need just to root and edit build.prop in system folder.

couple weeks ago i bought from a friend in America an Samsung S5.
Every time when i want to use the telephone in my home country the Netherlands i'm getting a simcard error.
It will not reconice my simcard.... seems not working in Europe
Can somebody please help me with a soluition to fix this problem.

Read here about the Samsung region lock http://bgr.com/2014/04/11/samsung-galaxy-s5-region-locking/ as you have a US device and want to use it in the EU. Many more sites available. You could also call Samsung for advice and/or maybe removal of the lock. I hope the device isn`t simlocked too for your sake.

It would be rather difficult to give you a solution without any information. You didn't even tell us the verbatim error message, the carrier you are trying to use the phone on or much else.
It could be any number of things from region locked to SIM locked to an innoculous Sprint setup message. Or something completely different i.e. that a CDMA Sprint phone over has limited compatibility with GSM frequency bands. You simply didn't provide enough information to more than guess.

Read this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2692269 and more to find on Google, afaik Sprint devices have a locked bootloader so i don`t know if flashing custom software is even possible.
Hi all,
hopefully i'm posting in the right place.
I got an LG stylo 3 that have a sim lock only for T-mobile(USA). i want to unlock him to use the carrier in my country.
i already spoke with Tmobile and they told my if i want to unlock the phone i have to work with them for one year ( and i dont want it)
i read some guide on the internet and they sell an activation codes. the problem that i don't have any place to enter the code ( in there giud they say that i should get an activation message when im insert a new SIM card - and i don't get any message)
there is a way to unlock the phone? maybe installing new ROM?
