Recently I've been trying different roms but mainly based on stock.
From the last time I have not been able to get my verification code to restore from previous back up.
Any thoughts?
Thanks!
You mean for your LeCloud account?

Hi,
First time Android user and getting to grips with the whole flashing scene.
Have 1905 Factory unlocked model with 4.3 stock.
My network recently launched 4G but only mobiles bought from them directly recieved the OTA update to enable it.
I was getting frustrated with the battery life aswell so I decided to try install a custom rom - namely one of the google edition 4.4.2 ones.
I have the phone rooted, wiped etc but every time I try to install eitheir of the two custom builds I downloaded I get the "footer is wrong" message twice followed by verification failure. I have renamed the build to update.zip.
Am i missing something obvious here? Is it even possible?
Wrong footer

Hello i have the same issue ,have you fix this problem allready .
And how tell me please .
A familiar story to some of you on the forums,
I recently bought a new s5 on Craigslist hoping it would be a no hassle deal. I checked the IMEI and it was not reported as a stolen phone. Ended up factory resetting the phone and of course REACTIVATION LOCK screwed the pooch. Of course the previous owner had no idea there was the lock on and they don't even know the email that was used. I've looked up videos on how to bypass it, to no avail.
Upon further research, I've established that the new Verizon update OE1 is on the phone which seems to me I'm even more deep than I would have thought. I know there is very little support into this update since it is very new at the moment, but I've tried re flashing this update (OE1) as well as previous updates (OE1 won't let you downgrade). I've tried re partitioning via the pit file here, again to no avail. I have also tried to make a backup of a friend's phone (exact same model and update) where the setting was disabled and restoring it on my phone (via Kies). Unfortunately, Kies won't let you restore the "email account settings" on a different device (if they could be restored on this phone maybe I could use his samsung account to unlock the reactivation lock). I have even tried calling Samsung and stopped in a Verizon store to see if they could do anything but they could not.
Soooo...
Is there a way around this(like a bug/glitch/exploit on other [non-Verizon] phones)?
Would it be possible to restore my friend's email account info by "tricking" Kies into thinking it's the same phone (if it doesn't require an IMEI swap or other questionable means)? Or by restoring his info from another backup/restore program? And would it be worth a try?
Could I flash a different bootloader or download mode from a different carrier to get it to work?
I figure devs are working on a root solution for this update so maybe in the future?
Or am I truly just SOL and out a couple hundred dollars??
Have you tried calling Verizon's tech line? The people in the stores rarely know anything but basic things about the phones. The people on the tech line generally have access to software to make changes to the phone remotely too.
I had a rooted BOG5 with TWRP, used Odin to apply stock BOG5 to sell after buying Nexus 6P.
It booted and I was able to skip setup wizards etc to show person who I sold it to it was working.
They couldn't get voice working on it so they wanted give it back to me.
In troubleshooting, I told them to do factory reset from within the phone and from within stock recovery.
I got the phone back and now I have the locked due to abnormal factory reset, my Samsung Account gives 'Processing Failed' message. Either I forgot to turn off the reactivation lock or they hosed something up. I tried their Samsung Account as well and get invalid password.
How do I get out of this lock out? Odin back to OC4? I tried to call Samsung and got a run around but they mentioned a Samsung Authorized Repair shop or something like that.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Yup and with other versions but once you go to BOG5, you cannot go back.
Hello my fellow Axon enthusiast. I wanted to let you guys know that I have run into a problem that is detrimental. You see, I was on b27 firmware with root and I decided to downgrade and start all over due to root breaking something in my system image. I downgraded, but I had the efs partition problem. I fixed that and rebooted. I found myself with 4 gigabytes so I went into recovery, factory reset and flashed a stock b20 boot image(before I used drakenfx stockb20system.zip). After that, I rebooted and I was prompted to reset with the title saying encryption reset. I reset and thought I was finally finished. Unfortunately I wasn't. When I tried to get through the setup wizard, I couldn't because when I factory reset my device, gmail wouldn't let me sign in with the message saying verify your account. I would put the correct info in and it said sign in with the owners account which was me. I found out that this is Google's account verification security once I looked it up and I have to wait 72 hours to log in with my new password. So in conclusion, I'm asking if anyone here has had this problem? And if you have, how did you bypass this? I don't mean to sound desperate, but I'm down to my last leg.
Guess no one has ever had this problem before ?. All I want to do is have my Device again. Waiting 72 up to 114 hours is not delightful.

Looks like you may need to wait it out for three days, but there are some steps to take.... Look at the link above.

Thank you so much for sharing this with me. I do have some other things to say if I could. One: When I would try to factory reset in the settings, it wouldn't let me by pressing reset device. I would press it and nothing would happen. Two: Before I knew a little more about the frp, I factory reset a couple of more times through recovery. Had the same verify account come up. This all started with that encryption prompt coming up flashing that boot image. I'll try to wait for 72 hours. If it doesn't work when it's up, then I'll give it more time(2 weeks). But I want to thank you for responding to me.
Awesome! Now I have my account back after waiting since yesterday! Victory!

Take it back to best buy - only way this happens is if it is not a brand new device. Someone had it before you.

Now hold on. Wait for 48 hours before you think about returning anything.

Hello everyone, I will make it short, yesterday I bought a s7 edge which worked perfectly until today when I decided to just restart it, it gave me FRD Error in RED. So I decided to go with a stock ROM (UK) , so I put this rom in ODIN, worked BUT there is this problem that come over and over:
1. I get a "Welcome" screen with language options. I select "English."
2. I get a "Wi-Fi" screen. I select my my wifi.
3. I get this message. "Unable to sign in to Wi-Fi AP. An unauthorized factory reset has been performed on this device. The sign-in screen cannot be accessed."
And I tried everything posible, I used only data and turn off wifi and it took me to "checking process" which never ends up checking.
Please I have been 9-10 hours on this and no IDEA where the problema is.
NOTE: The phone came with ROOT(I requested)
And also i remember a ROM Called AURORA.
THANKS
Tried this? http://www.xda-developers.com/rootjunky/
The OEM Unlock option in Developer Options had been unselected when you rebooted, you must have done this yourself otherwise it wouldn't have booted when you first started the phone after purchasing it when you powered up.
Anyway, it wouldn't have been FRD in red, it would have been FRP, which stands for Factory Reset Protection. This is to stop someone stealing a phone, factory resetting it, then selling it on or using it themselves with a new Google account. The official way of getting the phone back now is to sign into your Google account using the account information that was on the phone when you bought it, or the account details that you setup prior to rebooting. You should be able to sign into wifi in order to do this, I'm not sure why it's not allowing you to.

Don't think that works any longer, or I'll be surprised if it does given the amount of updates from Samsung since then. It's from 8 months ago.
Aurora ROM was only released yesterday. And you asked the seller for a rooted phone? So he installed a completely new ROM, only hours old, and sold it to you?
Really?!
