Turns out @evilracer123 already made a lineageOS build for the yotaphone and posted a link to the zip file:

So I tested it, and its working, but the epd is not working and worse, the touchscreen of the epd IS working, so if you hold the phone, then you are constantly inputting random touch events via the back screen XD. There is a quick fix for that, see Edit.3 below.
For me, GPS and cellphone data connection are not working either. Other than that running smooth...
But still insteresting and maybe also for people experiencing bootloop, if they can still get into recovery , they could try to give this a shot.

Edit.3 Tip from @evilracer123: For stopping the epd/backside input: enable root shell in developer options and then connect device to pc and then do adb root; adb shell rm /dev/input/event4

Really cool man, I was checking your github yesterday and saw you said that is also the repo for the CM build.
But that is not all the code for lineageos/cm right?

Hey, thanks for the info! I have been using my YP2 without the EPD (busted) and on Lollipop (tried to sideload MM but it causes bootloops, think the fault is not working EPD), and was looking for any news about some custom roms. Just downloaded the lineageos files, can't wait to try it out!

now, besides the complicated history between russia and finland, I doubt that the modern russia (stalin being the new pop icon, gays getting beaten to a pulp, alot of **** being heresy for the church) is a great example of "celebrating diversity".

@evilracer123, I was trying to disable to the epd tochscreen by doing chmod 0000 tot all the files related to cyttsp5.._back in init.rc. And by using root and ls -l i was able to confirm that i changed the permissions for all those files, but the back touchscreen just keeps working.
I saw that for twrp, you patched it by blacklisting the driver.
Is there a way to do the same for the lineage rom withouh having to compile the rom/kernel from scratch?
Or if you would be so kind to make a buold with a patch, that would be great ofc

Well, I might have overreacted a "bit", I'm sorry. 4pda is usually quite good with sources, at least in my experience with Chuwi and Meegopad.

Is there any special way to install the rom? Tried with TWRP and got ERROR: 7 (rom is not for my phone, though I have YP2 RU1.1.134), then found out fix but now the error shows the installer can't find the update-binary in the zip file. Any help?

I just installed the normal zip with twrp from this post
I would try installing the unmodified zip with the newest twrp from that post.

Amazing to finally see LineageOS on my YP2! Found the gapps and I'm going to test it for some time as my second phone, we'll see if there's any improvement to performance or functionality.
First impressions and bugs:
-overall performance satisfying, but it's a fresh start and that is the usual feeling;
-LCD density set to 480dpi, max value is 560 - how's it possible if FHD on 5" screen gives about 440dpi?
-system updates not working (no internet connection error)
-USB OTG not working, thumbdrive detected yet can't get accessed nor formatted, even caused reboot once
-slimport HDMI working excellent;
-Antutu gives over 51k pts, compared to 45k on the stock Lollipop;
-Need more time to test the battery and doze function (if possible).
Anyone have a stock ROM I can flash? I accidently messed up but I can still get into recovery

Almost one week, nice! Comparing it with the stock Lollipop when it could drop by 30% overnight the results are great! Have seen better though - Moto E (1980mAh) could reach almost 10 days (with simcard), also on Lineage13.

It's for the 501 and requires the ICS unlocked bootloader. Don't install it on an HC bootloader.

You might be able to recover if you go through the steps to install the patched ICS bootloader or use the method from this thread , it might help - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1516012

Should work on an A500 BUT, just like an A501 running an A500 rom you might not get GPS.... There may be other little issues too but the A501 and A500 have the same basic hardware... Just no GPS.
You might also get an error message saying "Insert SIM Card"...
As long as you do a nandroid backup before installing there should be a way to fix if it doesn't work..

Does anyone remember the old "cell standby"? Where the 500 was looking for a 3g signal, and used battery power? I suspect that might also happen here as well if you run it on an a500.

Generally, you can run a 501 rom on an a500. However, because the 501 rom contains code meant to support the internal 3g, 500 users may experience higher battery drain. Also, depending on the kernel, GPS may or may not work.
A 500 rom running on an a501, results in no 3g, and more than likely, no GPS either. Depends on kernel.
Can you install them? Yes. Will they run? Yes, but not to the full potential.

I do not understand? Are fixed or not fixed.
I installed and the 2 versions, one difference is that in V2 knows the SIM card but can not find network.
SD and USB Flash Drives not detected (Mounted)
Accept that not yet fixed
I hope soon to be fixed because it looks good ROM

Please go easy on this guy, it looks like he is trying to post a ROM for the almost forgotten A501. English obviously isn't his native tongue either.
As for calling him a fraud, unless he hacked something a fraud wouldn't have over 5000 thanks.

i was trying to update it while keeping my root but i did something stupid i rebooted the device before it finishs, so it happened

seems like reserve.img partition is not properly flashed.
do u use fastboot or recovery? i think this problem occur if you using recovery.
if root, you can flash reserve.img in magisk, font will fixed

Reflash your OOS ROM with 'local update' feature, like if it was a regular ROM update.
It will restore all those partitions needed for language and emji's
Best to do that than flash an .img file found on the net
Use the Man download tool, just read instructions and you'll be fine, worked for me several times. It's in the Guides forum.

I don't understand yet, maybe i am more an IOS guy.
I want to format it and restore to the original rom came with the device.
Like I said, use Msm download tool. It will install global ROM and also format to new, and after that you can update.

No one told me anything, it was my own decision. You literally always annoyed me and wanted me to tell you stuff I simply didn't know. Like how am I supposed to know the aok of extreme power saving in one UI 2? Like I worked w one UI 2 for 1 hour maximum, when I made that debloated11 ROM. Seriously, stop bugging me about fixing the brightness big, I will fix it when I want to. I don't understand why it's annoying u so much. And no one is telling you to use my ROM.

For whatsapp issue, flash this file after flashing the rom.
Caution: Always be careful when you flash files. Be sure to understand how to backup and rescue your device in case of flash failure. Since this is a Beta Version, there may bugs and issues which I am not aware of.

Instructions:
You must be running latest version of Oxygen OS 11. Download the attached ColorOS 12 zip file and do local update. Place ColorOS 12 inside internal storage – Go to settings – System update – Tap on Gear icon on the right top corner – Select local update – Select file & wait for Installation to complete and then reboot.
Note: When you have an existing google account logged in before installing update file, Google Play and services will still be available but if you upgrade from a freshly formatted OxygenOS 11 device with no google account, it isn't available anymore.
I have two OnePlus 8's. Tested this method and works both on my global and T-mobile variant.
Also, it is weird when you check the about phone section, our cpu processor now says Snapdragon 855 lol
Root:
- Unlock Bootloader (if not yet unlocked)
- Download and install attached magiskv23.0 apk
- I have provided different Color OS12 root toolkits depending on the Software Version you installed. Download and extract.
- Reboot to bootloader
- Run coloroot.bat
- Done
To downgrade: use MSM download tool and flash your stock firmware / alternatively I flashed an incompatible boot.img via fastboot, ROM will crash and you will boot automatically in bootloader mode. Go to recovery and format data & cache, after a few reboots, system will go back to my previous Oxygen OS 11.0.9.9 build.

The actual version of this build is C.07 anf I corrected my title already..Is CBT 5 a later build for Coloros12? Could you share it?

Also keep in mind that ColorOS by default has about 400 system apps installed. About 100 of those are random Chinese bloatware and spyware apps that can't be disabled without root. They somehow disabled using ADB commands to remove apps (fishy).
Im running c.08 right now fiddling with stuff but wouldn't recommend as a daily driver

yes, I just confirmed it works too. just make sure you are running on latest oxygen 11 version before updating.

yes still a lot of kinks. for one, I had to turn on and off USB debugging in C.07 just to get adb detected. Just installed C.08 and it feels a little bit smoother compared to c.07.

Yeah I guess that was for oneplus 8 pro. I flashed the link you are using and it's working. Also made root to work.

I personally daily drive OxygenOS. It's very stable and I like the look and feel. However AICP ROM, is by far the smoothest and cleanest experience for the Oneplus 8 at the moment. Big ups to that dev (semdoc) he's a genius been using his roms for years.

If you know the developer of that ROM, please ask him to remove the built-in su (or whatever magisk detects). There's a possibility I'm thinking of some other ROM, but I think this was the one I saw that in.

I have managed to install KALI Net Hunter_Full-Chroot (ROOTED). Downloaded the NetHunter Lite ARM64 (Full) from Kali.org and loaded it as a module on Magisk, updated the 3 dependent .apk's follow the prompt to open - update - upgrade and rebooted a few times when needed. Boot Animation and all.

I am very sorry my mistake. as I wrote everything, I have magisk root and nethunter installed, but I can't change the bootanimation. I tried to upload it again, manually change it under adb but it doesn't work.

I will link a github page that I recommend using to change Bootanimation. it may only work on Linux. I will reply in a moment with the link.

Here are two different links. One is a boot animation maker and the second one is a Magisk Module that will replace the existing animation.

Personally I haven't got to that point yet cause my phone is still under warranty. However, changing the boot animation worked great in the early years of android, and it's still doable, but not as easy.
completely understand the warranty aspect and not wanting to mess it up. I know you didn't ask but for me I got the Spacewar phone before it was even "working in the US" bought it from Amazon France. Returned it to them received a refund then the package came back to my address. So essentially I got model that has 12gb of RAM for free. All thanks to Amazon and their crappy returns address on that side of the world. So Amazon is good to me. hahaha
