IDK what this update did but I took it and nothing seems different. The security patch date was updated to July 1 though so that's probably the main change.

Just noticed this, this morning. Popped over here to see if anyone had any issues with it; I'll update and report if I notice anything different (110.4 MB size, probably security patch as mentioned above).

I just got an notification for a new update. I already got the update from T-Mobile a few days ago. I'm assuming this is a new one.
I did a factory reset two days ago but I believe the system updates stay on there even after a factory reset.
I'm just wondering if this is something new? The update is from Samsung and it says "Critical System update"
Nope. Nothing here.
Nope nothing here either

Just checked and nothing popped up on my end.

Go to - about device - update manually. That's how ours popped up. All 3 phones found it
Battery life is absolute amazing in this update. It's been installed for 10 minutes and I'm already going on 6hrs sot. ?

Hmm they must have only gotten it out to certain markets. It's still early though, only 1130 here on the east coast.

I keep on hoping that the latest update will bring an unlock bootloader lol
Can you post the "about" screen with the kernel date and baseband/build number?
Here you go.
I got this update last week

Its not an incremental update, is something about the edge screen

I thinks its that.
Yeah I already have this update I believe.

Maybe when I cleared the cache and did a system restore, it removed the update. Either way I'm afraid to install it since I'm finally getting good battery life.

Not sure what you expect from this but it is where it is. This is Verizon, they will provide the patch when they chose to, you can try to complain to them but it's not likely to help.

One simply doesn't buy a Samsung phone from Verizon and expect updates. Those expectations can't be met those two colwns.
Quick updates are a luxury only Nexus owners enjoy.

whats good with it
Sprint hasn't updated their updates page as of this post.
I got the update but have yet to install, this is what it had to say.
Edit, went ahead and updated, Android patch level is at 2016-09-01
UGH slow ass LG and Sprint
ZV6 Update
Noting that there is not too much of a difference except for the obvious Software version to ZV6 and that Baseband version adds .63052.1 to the end.
I have not been on the the G5 enough to see the difference yet. I will update anything major later.
So if i update will i loose my unlock prob because the baseband update?

So, I guess trying to root this thing is pretty much as dead as Elvis? Kind of sad, phone is great but would be the 1st Android phone I've ever used without root. Probably gonna get the Google pixel soon due to it ?

Turn off your phone > pull out Sprint sim card > turn your phone back on and connect to your wifi then it will prompt you the update about 5 minutes or so.
I took out my sim it's been 1hr still no update does this method actually work ?

It worked for me. Did you go to phone settings and tap on system update? Keep trying that.
Sigh... Just do a manual sideload.

I have 2 ph-1s and my unlocked one has the January update. Just have a prepaid sim in it and use wifi to update
On sprint also haven't gotten the latest update.
Sprint lags behind. But you can sideload if anyone gets the file.

unless you are my dad(who loves his essential BTW) and have no f's to give about the latest and greatest, I always recommend side-loading. Carrier OTA rollouts are a joke

Every honor 8 now will be updated to the may patch. Oreo is imminent. Hold on tight people.
Haven't got the B394 update yet
Haven't gotten B394 and B395 shows up, maybe it was creating instabilities, either way I'm waiting for the year that 8.0 gets released to our phone.
