Good evening everyone,
I will have several questions to ask you, I am right now on Batman Battle 1.1.1 from port S8 on S7 Edge; I am very happy, the only worry is what I think better autonomy and better ergonomics on an S7 rom, so I hesitate between the SuperStock ROM 1.8 which has a very long battery life or the Ambassadii V18 Which is very stable no more tracking apparently ... and also car I heard that the DQFM had the biggest changelog than the old ones, if someone could also explain to me how this changes etc. Good autonomy, stability very close to stock, as well as a phone that does not heat for normal use, I post my autonomy with the rom Batman so that you have a glimpse and can know if I can have better autonomy or not , I thank you in advance, I did a little bit the rom to the latest in the latest update and I test them 1 day maximum to tell you .. good evening to you all, or good day .
Cordially.
I haven't found any issues with Batman Rom, it's been completely stable and have not noticed any heat. It has a lot of great features I think its worth a try. If you don't like it or have issues just flash back to a rom you like or go back to stock.

Hi, I'm a noob here in the Note. I've been a heavy user and a quite massive flasher of my SGS2.
I'm expecting my Note tomorrow and I'm very frightened in advance by its battery life. So I'm thinking of rooting instantaneously as I open its box but I need your advice.
Should I just root it with the CFroot and leave the stock Samsung touchwiz or should I flash any ROM with good battery results? If so, please I need a small amount of opinions. Which one is the most reliable? Do the latest ICS betas have the same battery drain as the latest GBs? Should I go ICS to start enjoying the Note experience or stay in a GB rom?
Please help me to grasp the state of things in the Note world as I open the box.
Right now I'm using a custom ROM, Darky ROM to be exact and I'm really pleased. This one seems to work best overall for me (along with the latest franco kernel).
Most people however have reported great performance with using the latest Abyss kernel and Rocket ROM. Those for me, weirdly were slower and Abyss got me battery drain.
However, my experience differs from that of most users out there, so basically you should probably try them yourself at first and see which one suits you better.

Thank you pal for the first clues!
Checkrom got me the best battery life so far, mainly it is a lite rom.
Hope its not placebo!
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
At the moment I'm using Rocket Rom together with the Speed Kernel which, with a few tweaks here and there, gives me awesome battery life while using and in standby.
Lite Roms have most of the Samsung and some other stuff removed. As a rule, they are more battery efficient. The best ones IMO are Cassie's XtraLite and Chrak's Small Rom. Of course, removed apps that you need can be added back in both of these Roms.
I used both with Franco's kernels, and they were fast, smooth and easy on the battery.
As for ICS, my advice would be to stay out of it for the time being. You have things to learn before being able to cope with the necessary high maintenance and fixing the ICS Roms require ATM.
No disrespect meant, just stating the fact.

I had the same issues with Battery life of SGN. Then I rooted with Franco Kernel 2.6.35.7 & have almost increased my Battery life by 30%
So try it & if you find bettter ROM, pl do share
Thanks & All the best
Hey guys!
I'm looking for the Rom with the best performance. so it should be smooth no lag, no scrolling lags, no stutters. Responsive. Also the battery should be awesome. Looking for around 6 hours SOT. I do not care for themes/xposed etc.. just battery and performance.
Any tried all the different roms and could give me some advice? Please do not say that I should try it myself and find out.
I want your opinion!
Tnx in advance!!
Cheers,
Dimitri

Hello @Dimitri178
I understand you would like to know wich is the best rom, and that you do not want to hear this...but it is better for you to try them. There are not many so give it a shot and see what works best for you. I am saying this because what I like, you would probably dislike. In my experience it is a matter of taste and real life experiments. So start flashing and test them.
Try these three and see wich one fits you better: Sweet Rom; Wanamlite and maybe X-Note
Best of luck!
I love mine (FireKatN4 v7) but you may hate it. It's stable and fast with great battery life.
hello

Hey, no one said you have to like it
Talking only about MM systems.
DU is my prefered in this moment. Has good features, smoothness and battery.
AICP is the most complete but I'm not getting results in smoothness and battery as good as DU. Gets better with Lambda kernel.
crDroid is maybe the most smooth, has good battery but not so much features.
The best MM custom kernel actual is Lambda, specially the most recent builds (Beta).
Off course devs are working to get their ROMs better at each build, so it's always worth to try each ROM for yourself and see what you think about latest builds.
optimusg3. best i tried best i know

Yes, I mean Marshmallow.
I heard DU 6.0.1 is having some problems with Bluetooth. I said I heard because I never use Bluetooth, so I can't be sure about how it is.
Camera is also not so good as stock camera, but still is pretty good, I can use it as daily camera. Custom ROMs AOSP/CM have not so good camera, it's common, but I think it worth cause you gain with smoothness, features (Ambient Display, Easy flashlight, Themes, Navbar and Statusbar configs, and lots of other features). You can have more control over your system.

Google edition 1.4 + Xceed kernel 14 = Awesomeness
I was gonna put it on AOSP 4.4.4, and then get tablet-kat. I'm excited, Any rom recommendations? problems or specifics I can expect with a refurbed N10? The seller had good ratings so I took the plunge.
For a rom recommendation I want:
Battery life
Okay speed
Stable-ish (No random freezes and reboots, plz no sound g;itches)
I flashed RemixOS on mine a year ago or two I can't remember and still rocking it. Perfect for multitasking as watching twitch or something else in the background and reading Reddit over it etc. Only crashes sometimes on YouTube while switching video quality but that happened almost on every time I tried before. I definitely recommend it.

Its best you go with Omni Rom. The only thing that doesn't work is the camera.

How good is stock 4.4.4 with Xposed UI? I want to run stock kitkat with tabletkat installed, and maybe a good stable kernal.

It's very stable.
Anyway, I'd also go for Omni 7. It's very stable, great battery life. Camera does not work tho. If you really need it, I'd suggest Omni 6. It's like stock AOSP but with montly security updates.
I recently wrote a question on the Z2 Plus' XDA forum about what ROM could possibly fit my needs: Scrolling Smoothness, Great battery life, Great Performance without overheating. I got like 1 or 2 answers I think. So I went on my own to research the best ROM I could possibly use as my Daily Driver. PureFusion had probably the second best performance in my eyes just behind ViperOS, but both of these ROMs were inconsistent and lacked battery efficiency. AEX had multiple bugs and crashes after using it for some time. PixelExperience is still in developpement so I won't give any pejorative remarks (BTW, its liquid smooth) After a good Sunday of searching, I finally came across the best ROM I have ever used. Enter Citrus CAF. If you know this ROM and have tested, you van leave by now as you probably know how great it is! Crazy fast AND consistent performance. Something I dreamed of for a long time. The sound seems to be better too. There is some level of customization although I dont really tweak my device. Overheating has not been a problem at all since installing this ROM although the majority of the ROMs for the ZUK Z2 Plus seem to do a great job at that level. Finally, the battery life. Oh the battery life! I thought it was going to be a pretty poor battery life since the ROM itself didn't get much updates. SOT bas gone through the roof. 9H(Yes 9H!) and still counting at 8% of SOT on moderate usage. 7h45 SOT on intense usage(Asphalt 8, a LOT of YouTube, a 45 minute call and some other stuff like Facebook, Twitter etc..) It has been a tremendous experience for me and I strongly hope that the battery life is gonna stay like that for a long time. Btw im 15 and im french si im sorry if you feel like i misspelled a word or something.

Had Citrus 3.1 running for ~6 months.
It was indeed the best ROM so far on my Z2 Plus.

Yes the score on Antutu is at about 140 000 which is respectable. The gaming department is near perfect. No heating, and tremendous smoothness. Btw, i was at 70% at around 10 am. Right now, I'm at 64% at 15:47 after moderate use. The battery life is exceptionnaly good.
Alright! Flashing for the 10th time this week lol
Oh well, vacations
Merci pour partager avec nous votre experience!
EDIT. I think one thing I'll miss from 8.0 ROMs is HDR+

Yes! I always seem to be a flashaholic during the holidays. These holidays though, I managed to retain myself and only flash 2 ROMs including Citrus CAF. I know that HDR+ is truly fantastic(tried it on the PixelExperience ROM) but I dont really take much photos son it is not a real deal breaker for me.

I'm now on Cardinal 5.3 (Oreo).
Very clean, fast and stable.
All Oreo ROMs in general are not perfect yet.
Battery life is not as good as on Citrus 3.1 + DarkMoon Kernel.
I didn't try 3.5 or 3.6 since I didn't feel like it would give me much improvement.
In fact I got scared off of trying because of the negative reports by others in the thread.

Sorry for my REALLY late answer. As of March 17th, I am rocking the Pixel Experience ROM. Ive been using this ROM for about 2 months and it's really fluid, fast, and lag free. I felt like Citrus was getting less efficient on the battery side of things. The performance was still very good but I just like I needed to change and go over the Android 8 hump. If you want a reliable ROM that is well protected, blazingly fast, I would recommend Jaguar even though I did not ever try that ROM. Other than that, Pixel Experience is my choice
