Hi Guys,
I've installed what I hope is the most current Cyanogenmod replacement from cyanogenmods.org forums/topic/galaxy-s7-cm14-1-cyanogenmod-14-1-nougat-custom-rom.
After all the effort it boots nicely and fast - but I cannot select anything on the touch screen - all the buttons work (but don't do anything except make a button noise). Volume up and down changes the button volumes but that's it.
Here's what I did to get to that point:
Code:
Install Samsung Drivers
Install Odin3_v3.10.7
Download TWRP - twrp-3.1.1-0-herolte.img.tar
Vol Dwn + Home + Power - download mode
Run ODIN
Flash TWRP with ODIN (AP)
Vol Up + Home + Power - recovery mode
Format Data
Backup
Installed Image: cm-14.1-20161227-UNOFFICIAL-herolte.zip
Installed OpenGApps: open_gapps-arm64-7.1-super-20170717.zip
Boots, Shows the Cyanogenmod logo and the the Google G with the blue "LET'S GO" box and it gets very very warm.
Any ideas? Please!
Cheers
Jack...

Hello Everyone,
I have succesfully bricked my i9000.
I bought it for my dad, for fathers day.
But there was a crappy cm9 rom on it and i wanted to flash it to stock.
So i downloaded the I9000XWJW1_I9000XENJV5_XEN rom from Samfirmware, together with an s1_odin_20100512.pit file.
I loaded into download mode, booted odin, flashed and it failed at 20-30%
The phone was still in download mode and the bar was filled at 0-10%
I didn't know what to do, so i unticked repartition and tried again. nothing happend.
I rebooted, and all i get is a black screen.. the JIG is not working either..
When connecting, windows notes: SEC S5PC110 Test B/D
Please help!!! The solution that works i will give €10,- with paypal!
Put into download mode make sure reparation is checked and use 512 pit, make sure the .tar file is in the PDA section you only need them to files

Boot loop
Hi
I am new to Android OS.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S I9000 phone
I tried installing Cyanogenmod and after reboot my phone is in boot loop.
Before installing I haven't taken the backup.
I tried entering Recovery mode or Download mode by pressing power + home + Volume key, but it is not working.
I would be extremely grateful for any solutions or suggestions
Thanks in advance.

do a battery pull first, reinsert battery, than press Volume Down hold + press Home hold + than Power hold
till you enter download mode..give it a try
To enter recovery mode, shut down your phone and wait for it to be completely turned off then (do a battery pull) you hold the Volume Up + Home + Power and when you see the screen flicker with the B&W logo of SGS let go of the power button

Just curious why you are asking a question about a i9505 device here?
Anyway, are you saying it can NOT get into recovery at all? or you can get into recovery and there is no options.

Are you sure you're not talking about download mode? (vol down + home + power)
Recovery mode is vol up + home + power. Release just the power button when the phone vibrates

yes download is fine
in recovery are not any options
You have 2 options, get into some type of recovery, or ODIN back to stock. and that will require some reading to get that up and running...try here first.
You will need to post in your i9505 forum about this issue where to find original stock image, I looked there, but didn't see anything right off the bat.
god luck sir.
Hi,
Today I stuffed up my phone... I owned a Sony Acro S and Transformer Prime, which I flashed custom roms and recoveries on both with no issues.
I thought I'd be ok to try my G2...I was wrong.
I was able to root the device perfectly, then searching around I found an apk file for flashing twerp recovery. Which I did then I chose to reboot the phone, thats when I got stuck on the LG start up screen and the LED flashed blue and green. Then I realized the way I tried to put twerp on isnt suitable for my model.though saying that if I hold the power and down button I can get into twerp, but then I reboot and get stuck on the LG screen again.
I am on Stock Kitkat and my model number is D802T Australian version.
Please help... step by step help would be great.
I thought I knew what I was doing and no im confused.
I have searched and tried a few methods which I was unable to fix my issue.
Thanks
Duane.

Oh, so you can enter twrp ? Why don't you install a rom ?
download mode = power off the device. Hold volume up + connect to pc.

Hey, for the record: I wanted to flash CM13 (including Gapps Pico) on my LG G2 (did before some Nexus 4 and 7, worked) ...
-- went through instructions on CM-Homepage
-- DIDN'T know what to do with loki-tools!? --> DIDN'T do it, might be the problem!?
-- went on with USB-Debugging, ioRoot (manually, since the ioroot.sh didn't work), AutoRec (since FreeGee doesn't work with 4.4.2), booted into recovery by tapping button in AutoRec
-- booted into recovery (was then twrp 2.7.0), wiped data (factory reset), pushed cm13 (NIGHTLY-d802) with adb, installed it --> everything worked fine
-- pushed opengapps-arm-6.0-pico with adb, installed it --> everything went fine
--> NOW: tapped "reboot into system" --> but won't boot anything!!!
-- when I start normally, it shows LG-screen 1-2 seconds, then black/dark-grey screen (phone is on! but black screen, not as black as if off!)
-- when I start into recovery (volume down + power) --> same thing
-- when I plugin USB-cable, then phone starts with LG-screen 1-2 seconds, then flashes this dark-grey screen every 1-2 seconds but doesn't connect normally ("watch lsusb" on linux-shell shows device everyonce in a while: "Qualcomm, Inc." and a certain ID)
-- after these 3 possibilities I can switch off phone only py pressing power around 10 seconds (if I hold only 7 seconds, when the screen turns black for off, it restarts)
-- I can boot into Download-Mode (Volume up + USB-cable), but don't know what to do with it ...
-- I found this thread for going back to stock firmware, but I don't have windows PC AND DON'T KNOW whether it is right thing to do!?
-- Found also the correct Firmware on this page (Model: LGD802 - -Latest Firmware: D80230F_00)
--> Are there any other possibilities to get back to a working phone!? Especially versions for linux!?
Thanks a lot in advance!!!

Hey, got it solved. My conclusion:
- virtual machine on Ubuntu doesn't work -- can't communicate with device -- windows machine worked
- usb3 doesn't work, use usb2-ports
- how to get into recovery-mode wasn't clear for me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jPUTImVEHqc (push Volume DOWN + Power -- when LG appears, leave them for 1-2 seconds -- then press them again)
- CM13 NIGHTLY doesn't work with LG D802 (also tried flashing blastagators build since AutoRec works (with KK) but is outdated)
- if using tot-method, one can extract the tot-files by executing the .exe
Now do have a CM12 on my LG and everything works fine...
Try this! works for me on cm13
Recovery:
1 Power off your device
2 Press and keep pressed Power and Vol- until LG logo appears
3 When the logo appears release all buttons and press Vol+ and Vol-
4 Choose Yes navigating through the menu using the volume and power buttons
Download mode:
1 Power off your device
2 Keep pressed Vol+ and insert the usb cable
Hi,
I think I messed it up.
Samsung S6 Edge (Canada)
Baseband version: G925W8VLU6DRF1
I was trying to root my device by watching a video (sorry cant post link).

Like in the video, I got my TWRP from (sorry cant post link), but search for "MD5 e22d6b5eed4102185061566f033327d4" and you can find a link from DownloadAndroidROM.com
The video asked for me to press vol down + home + power as soon as I pressed start on the laptop. But I might have been a cpl seconds late. In any case, I am now stuck on this error.
I am not able to go to the blue download screen. Also, please provide me step by step details on -
1) How to get to that blue download screen?
2) Where to get stock ROM?
I would prefer not to lose data. Thanks all.

First, you should have downloaded the version of TWRP that you need for your device from the TWRP website so that you know you have an official version.
What state is your device in at this moment? Is it powered down and off? Is it stuck in Download Mode?
If you want to locate the stock ROM for you device you can obtain it at www.sammobile.com
To flash the stock ROM you will need to use ODIN. Please do some research. There is plenty of information in the forum about how to install TWRP and then root with Magisk or SuperSU.
To boot into Download Mode, you will need to press the Volume Down + Home + Power and hold until Download Mode appears.
To boot into recovery, wether it be the stock Android Recovery or TWRP once installed, press Volume Up + Home + Power and hold until you see the blue text at the top of your screen that says recovery booting.
When I woke up this morning, the screen was showing black. When I charged, it started charging from 0% ( so looks like it was discharged).
Now I was able to press vol down + home + power and get to the download screen. I installed the configuration from firmware.mobi. The device re-started and booted correctly.
Its not yet rooted though.
I will what you suggested for rooting, thanks.

Now that you have an OS, install TWRP and flash a Magisk root zip and install the Magisk Manager app and you'll be good to go.

You needed to hold the power and volume down buttons for a few seconds, it'll shut off then before it restarts hold volume down + home +power and it would have went back to download mode. Get official latest stock from sammobile. Com.
