Hello Everyone,
I have succesfully bricked my i9000.
I bought it for my dad, for fathers day.
But there was a crappy cm9 rom on it and i wanted to flash it to stock.
So i downloaded the I9000XWJW1_I9000XENJV5_XEN rom from Samfirmware, together with an s1_odin_20100512.pit file.
I loaded into download mode, booted odin, flashed and it failed at 20-30%
The phone was still in download mode and the bar was filled at 0-10%
I didn't know what to do, so i unticked repartition and tried again. nothing happend.
I rebooted, and all i get is a black screen.. the JIG is not working either..
When connecting, windows notes: SEC S5PC110 Test B/D
Please help!!! The solution that works i will give €10,- with paypal!
Put into download mode make sure reparation is checked and use 512 pit, make sure the .tar file is in the PDA section you only need them to files

Boot loop
Hi
I am new to Android OS.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S I9000 phone
I tried installing Cyanogenmod and after reboot my phone is in boot loop.
Before installing I haven't taken the backup.
I tried entering Recovery mode or Download mode by pressing power + home + Volume key, but it is not working.
I would be extremely grateful for any solutions or suggestions
Thanks in advance.

do a battery pull first, reinsert battery, than press Volume Down hold + press Home hold + than Power hold
till you enter download mode..give it a try
To enter recovery mode, shut down your phone and wait for it to be completely turned off then (do a battery pull) you hold the Volume Up + Home + Power and when you see the screen flicker with the B&W logo of SGS let go of the power button

Hi,
I have a recovery bootloop and i cant get it into download mode nor can i restart into system.
I have taken the battery out for 24 hours and still when i switch it on it just boot loops in recovery
Please help! What can i do to fix it ?
Take battery out, put it back in but don't press power on.
Instead, press Vol Down + Power + Home buttons all at the same time until something comes up on screen, then press Vol Up, to go to download mode.

Hi,
I have a problem with my galaxy S iV. I tried all hard reset buttons on the net. i done did search also before posting. Unfortunately I cant open recovery mode its stuck in logo.
and the logo is different from others that i have seen also here is a sample of what it looks like
the one in this :
w w w . gadgethelpline . c o m/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/Galaxy-S4-Boot-logo.jpg
or you can search Galaxy S IV GT-i9500 Logo
so i was thinking it must have something to do about it. so any one can help?
i tried
Volume up+ power
Volume up + Volume Down + power
Volume up + home + power
Volume up + volume down + home + power
Volume down + home + power
Volume down + power ( when i do this tho i get to enter test mode)
so any one got any idea?
i'd appreciate any tip. Thanks.!
Flash stock rom. That should sort things out.
But i cant enter download/recovery mode so how can i flash it? and its stucked to logo so i cant really turn on usb debugging mode
Your "SIV" is likely a fake. The logo is a dead giveaway, as Samsung stopped using Roman numerals after the SIII. To test, try to enter download mode using volume down, home, and power. A genuine S4 would present a warning and prompt you to press a key to continue. If nothing happens then your device is definitely fake.

For real? wow, so that explains why I cant get it to work. thanks for the info. I guess this solves the problem. thanks alot
you can also reboot ur phone to recovery using adb. Have you tried that?
It may help, but without a ROM to install he's stuck. These Chinaphone fakes don't generally have ROMs available for them, as their only purpose is to defraud the buyer. These things are the fake Rolex watches of the 21st Century.

I am having same issue. Does anybody have a solution to this other than "hold down power, home, volume and enter recovery menu", this doesn't work. Is there a link to flash stock ROM through Odin somewhere out there?

Recently tried to flash a new bootloader and modem in my S7 Edge through Odin, but now the screen is stuck in the Powered By Android initial boot screen. I cannot turn it off by using the power button, the only thing that works is if I press the power button + volume down, however that does not take me to the Download Mode but instead just restarts the phone and back into the Powered By Android screen. Volume Up + Power does not seem to be working.
Am getting desperate now, please help!

Managed to fix it
What I did was keep holding volume down + menu button + power without letting go. It rebooted into the Powered by Android many times but after about 3-5 minutes of holding it straight it finally sent me to the download mode where I was able to install stock S7 Rom.

I don't think so.No matter how greedy or paranoid a developer is they have to include a recovery mode in order to flash OTAs and do stuff when the phone is offline.

I got the clue, you have to do it twice !
Take a look at this tutorial Nokia 6 fix no command
First, you have to plug in a usb cable (of a charger) to the phone and quickly press Vol + and power button to get into the Download mode. Then again press Vol + and power button AND (most important all) press the HOME button, then you will get the Recovery menu !
Hi Blerg,
No home button on the phone.
