N910U extended battery & kernel - Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Rom: nemesis refined n7 port
Kernel: vitamin
My question is i am looking for a kernel that will read my 6280mah extended battery. I know there are kernels out there but they don't support version -U of the note4. That's right I am on N910U. so is there anyone that can help me . Or point me to where I can get a kernel that supports my version of note4 and has extended battery.
Thank you

[Q] Note 3 stock kernel

First of all i would like to thank the community for helping everyone here!
What my current problem is :
I had installed echoe rom on my note 3 till today. Reason of unistall and back to stock was the insane draining of battery.
Anyway i installed N9005XXUENB7_N9005DBTENB2_DBT so i'm back to stock.
Q : do i have to install a custom kernel again after installing the one that provided the echoe rom ?
and if so, where can i find that kernel ?
Thank you in advance.
Did you find out? Coz I am thinking to try echoe rom and kernel.
If you install an rom you can stick with rom kernels.
If rom is custom stock you could find some good kernels. Civato, ael, etc
Note 3 rooted knox 1, my last Samsuck crap. I want freedom. Stay away from Samsuck!
Ok from what I found out is if you stick custom rom stick with stock kernel to give you the best battery life, custom kernel are for running custom script etc. I have also had Exellent battery life with custom rom and stock kernel. Try it you will be surprised also make sure the baseband modem is of your network provider so supported by network provider to get the best possible signal.

Echoe comes with ael kernel; doesn't it? If so, great kernel for battery and performance.

I don't think changing baseband will make any positive impact on battery life, if at all! I am not sure though, as you are using Jamal's ROM, you might want to ask that in that topic.
As per best kernel recommendation, you can't ask that on XDA, its against the rules. But I personally after trying them all came back to my trustworthy Faux kernel. I just didn't understand all the hype of some highly favoured kernels. I wanted something stable, and I got what I wanted with Faux's kernel.

Zerolemon fuel gauge fixable?

I researched and the only thread I could find regarding this issue with possible fixes is: http://forum.xda-developers.com/not...nt/reserved-zerolemon-fuel-gauge-fix-t3131705. I'm not sure if this will work on Canadian Note 4 running 4.4.4 FireKat V21 rom.
The only download that I found to still be active is the one at the bottom of the primary post. My question is, will that work with my current set up, or do I need a custom mod for this rom specifically?
you only need kernel with support zerolemon. like Suemax N910H\ or N910C \ or N910U , or another kerner for your phone.
But all new kernel for 5.1.1 android.

I ended up installing PopRocks and using the emotion kernel. I THINK it's reading correctly not sure. Removing the case and the battery is a PITA. Thank you for the reply!

Which kernel for I9301I with stock 4.4.2 ROM?

I'm thinking about flashing a modded kernel on my s3 neo to improve performances and battery life
I found in the forum some kernels for stock and i saw the most populars and updated are the Sev3n Kernel and the STOCK v.3.7 UBERT gcc
I'm looking for something for everyday use and that everything works.
Could you help me on choosing pleeeease? ^_^
Sev3n Kernel bro
But i recomand you cm 12,is good, nice battery life and no bugs
Hmm maybe I'll try cm 12 too, the only thing that i don't like is the nfc support missing .-.
I use Renix kernel v3.7 zram,Seven good too, but it have overheating problem in heavy apps.
