Hello,
I'm going to order an LG G6 from internet tomorrow. There are some questions eating my brain. One of the most important of these is SAR value.
There are 2 options. (I'm living in Turkey) H870DS (dual-sim, manufactured in India, 64GB, quad DAC) and regular H870 (EU) (32 GB, no DAC, 1 sim).
The thing that make me confused is the values that published by LG in their website.

Actually I want to buy Indian version (it is cheaper and has DAC etc.) but if the SAR value of Indian one is high, I will be thinking the regular version.
I'm confused at one point that as you can see in the screenshot, there are some differences when calculating the SAR value in different markets. EU version is tested on 10g tissue and from 5mm but Indian one tested on 1g tissue from 15mm.
So, which one is higher? Should I be concerned and change my opinion or is it in healty limits?
It would be really good if someone could answer ASAP because I have to order it tomorrow and clock is ticking . Thank you.
Any ideas?
Indian or Taiwan H870ds is dual SIM version, i.e. has 2 modems. Therefore SAR is always two times higher as one modem H870 (EU) version.

Thanks for the reply. But what if I use it with one sim? Does SAR value depends on amount of SIM in use on phone?
H870 SAR (EU): 0.23 W/kg (head) * * 0.15 W/kg (body)
H870DS SAR (EU): 0.393W/kg (head) I have no information about SAR (body). If you use one SIM card = one modem is used only. It means the numbers are almost the same like H870 (single modem only)
so does this mean the DS model has a lower sar than the single sim?
Sorry, typo: I've corrected my post. DS has higher SAR as single SIM.

Hello, dear XDA citizens.
I had been a happy user of my HTC Desire since July 2010 when I bought it. Unfortunately, it recently started randomly losing signal, with the same ROM version I’ve been using for a while, so that means it’s time for an upgrade.
The problem I find with current options, it’s that there are no longer phones anywhere!!! More specifically, I can only see 5"+ phablets (don’t call them phones, please, at that size they no longer start being just that), which are really not what I want. I want something I can comfortably hold in one hand when vertical, that is, 4.3" minimum, 4.7" maximum... or at least that’s what I thought, until I heard of the LG G2 one-hand operations option. I’m not sure yet this option is available to AOSP or any ROM that might currently be developed for the phone, but it makes a whole difference for me, so much that it makes me skip my self-imposed maximum-screen-size ban. You’ve gotta hand it to LG, they understand exactly this predicament.
As for other features, I’d like it with LTE; my operator in Colombia says they support Band 4 - AWS, and 1900MHz for HSPA+. I’ve been away quite a while, so I’m no longer savvy, but I’ve read some articles about LTE for my operator, and while they say AWS, they also say, for example, they acquired the 1700MHz/2100MHz spectrum, or that the Nokia Lumia 920 (model RM-820 only) works. Those are some details that perhaps can help you help me assert if my choice is right. Oh, 16GB or 32GB is alright for me. Never used more than 6GB myself.
Question is: do you know where can I buy one that fits those specifications? Please paste links that you trust and recommend. It doesn’t matter if I have to “import” it, since I have relatives living in United States which luckyly will come by new year’s eve, so hopefully I can just pay the phone itself and be done with it.
I think that’d be all.
Thanks again for your support!
My international D802 doesn't support band 4 as I read the box , see the attached photo.

Oh, man, I knew it.
Looks like I need a U.S.A. AT&T-compatible phone, which are the ones I see share the 1700/2100 frecuencies. Bummer. Question, for those in United States: can I buy an AT&T-bands-compatible phone without an actual plan? In Amazon looks like I can, but I want to be sure.
Thanks for the information!
PS: The company says something like:
HSPA+, 23/10/2011, Tigo commercially launched 4G service using HSPA+, with 4 Mbps average speed at 1900 Mhz band...

Since I would at least have HDSPA+, although it was implemented two years ago already, according to that, do you think I would still be able to squeeze the phone value two years from now at least? Thanks!

Like @Sindroid said, you'll find the D802 being the International version makes it much more common to come across. That's not to say there isn't a big development community for Carrier Specific models.
It's probably worth visiting the LGG2 Wikipedia page where it goes in depth and lists the different networking capabilities and restrictions each model has.
"Several different model variants of the G2 are sold, with most variants differing only in support for regional network types and bands. However, the South Korean version features a removable (but smaller) battery and a MicroSD slot, while the U.S. Verizon Wireless version includes Qi wireless charging, but has a noticeably different rear cover design with a plainer appearance, a different design for the buttons and camera on the rear, and replaces the solid black option for the button background with a pink pattern option. In January 2014, in honor of the Chinese New Year, LG released two "limited edition" models of the G2 in selected Asian markets; available in red or gold colors, the limited edition models featured textured casings instead of the glossier plastic used normally by the G2."

I am looking to buy this Globle variant from B&H. However according to there specifications in their site this phone does not support LTE band 12. But I have seen in some other sites LTE band 12 is supported for this model. Where can I find the accurate information about this model ?
www .bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1225381-REG/samsung_sm_g935_32gb_slv_galaxy_s7_edge_g935. html
Wow. I didn't know B&H was selling the International version of the phone as well. I'd rather buy from them than from eBay. Especially since they provide the 1 year warranty as well.
Interesting, I'm also curious at the OP's question.

According to this thread, the G935F supports all the bands. Part of the reason I purchased the international model despite living in the USA is because of that. My service on AT&T's network has been superb. And I know whenever I travel to the U.K. or around the EU - I'll be good for data service.

Thanks for the detail. Can you please send me the link for the Samsung page with this details. When I talk to B&H technical support they keep telling me and confirmed that LTE 12 is not supported.

As the title says I'm thinking of changing my axon 7 EU version (A2017G) with the US version (A2017U), because the US version now have the bootloader unlocked while we have no information about a possible unlock on the EU version.
I live in Italy and I want to know if there is any problem related to that using a US version and wich site have worldwide shipping.
I really love this phone and I don't what to change it for the oneplus 3 only because we have a really bad service from ZTE.

You won't have any issue usong the US version in Europe. All main bands are supported too.
The only issue is shipping. No reseller can ship it to Europe so you have to pas trough a dropshipping service like Viabox. And you'll end up paying a little over 500€ after taxes and customs fee.
You won't have any warranty either.
Maybe, because you can not trust ZTE. On the official homepage the specs are wrong ? 3000 mAh, no WIFI ac... ????
Maybe you buy the US Version and don't have b20 LTE.
I really like the phone but I will not buy it. This is the only way to show them, how crap they are.
Lucky me, have someone coming from the States in a few weeks and he will get me a USone... even if EU version maybe will unlock bootloader by time (altough ZTE Germany denied it for now), but the US support is much better, releasing upodates sooner and actually listens to their clients...
@djona12 and about the warranty, I hope my piece is working flawlessly, but else I still have the warranty and 30 days return policy (B&H), just have to get it there and back on my own cost, means it would become more expensive to make use of the warranty... that if ZTE Europe won't accept it, but sometimes they do, differs from company to company and their good will
So, for me it's worth it to go for the US one in EU
Hi Ladies and Gents,
So as you all have been wandering around Android flagships this year waiting for Google's 2nd innovative google pixel 2/xl.
Speedtest is a normal thing to do to determine how good modems are inside such phones. As well as to test how good their carrier aggregation is.
I have went through Huawei's Mate 10, to OP5 to S8 to Note 8. All of which were impressive. The last test was around 188mbps in my carrier Etisalat/Abu Dhabi using Note 8 N9500 (hong kong version on October 5th update).
So I was testing my new Pixel 2 XL which is the US version on speedtests multiple times and I have been getting an average of 68mbps using (October 5th update also).
I would love to get user's feedback on their speedtests. Please share your experience and tips in order to maximize the network speed performance.
So how is this measurable on a radio level from one carrier/country to another ?
Just today I got 144 down and 40 up. Verizon LTE. Fastest I've ever had.
This was the best result I've seen - Telus network in Calgary, Canada

I love the XL 2, it's a super solid device. Anyways, here's my top speedtest off T-Mobile with 2xCA LTE (30MHz B4 + B2, - NSG) https://i.imgur.com/ILhCvaV.jpg (147.7/24, 30 ms)
Here's my top speedtest on WiFi over 5GHz AC at my house with Spectrum 300Mbit Ultra https://i.imgur.com/5qKVK5X.jpg (344.8/22, 10 ms)
My speeds seem really low, given that I'm on the outskirts of a metropolis
T-mo Lte just got 162mbps. Highest I've got was 180mbps. And that's sitting front of my tv
