Like @Sindroid said, you'll find the D802 being the International version makes it much more common to come across. That's not to say there isn't a big development community for Carrier Specific models.
It's probably worth visiting the LGG2 Wikipedia page where it goes in depth and lists the different networking capabilities and restrictions each model has.
"Several different model variants of the G2 are sold, with most variants differing only in support for regional network types and bands. However, the South Korean version features a removable (but smaller) battery and a MicroSD slot, while the U.S. Verizon Wireless version includes Qi wireless charging, but has a noticeably different rear cover design with a plainer appearance, a different design for the buttons and camera on the rear, and replaces the solid black option for the button background with a pink pattern option. In January 2014, in honor of the Chinese New Year, LG released two "limited edition" models of the G2 in selected Asian markets; available in red or gold colors, the limited edition models featured textured casings instead of the glossier plastic used normally by the G2."

The spica uses a capacitive screen that is capable with multitouch, the GT540 has a resistive screen, which is incapable of full multitouch.
One point
Resistives can only detect one point and it mostly dependent on pressure (so it can work on anything solid). Capacitive work only with living objects and specialized styluses.
thank you but if a program calculates two points?
Not all resistives have one point you know, anyways there will never be a practical multitouch on the gt540 just get an optimus one it's like £15 more expensive then the gt540 on ebay.
Arent the Optimus and Swift the same models? Just different brand name for the region they've been released for?
Optimus One.

GT540 (aka Swift, Optimus and so on....)
Now Optimus One have a multi touch screen, more inside memory and 2.3 available via default software upgrade tool.
I have both and the O1 is much better its worth the extra cash just for the ram tbh, it runs much smoother and the is a larger development base for the O1

The 'Optimus' is the line of Android smartphones from LG (except from the Ally on Verizon in the US) but the 'swift' if the codename of the GT540. Like 'Star' is the codename of the Optimus 2X.
Resistive multitouch

This phone has has a RESISTIVE touch screen. Could this same software be used in Android?
Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XndW7YlvYjU&feature=player_embedded
It requires a lot of programming and hex vales in order for dual touch to function properly.
I have a T-Mobile variant of the Galaxy Note 3. I dropped it slightly and the whole thing shattered, LED screen cracked as well. I am looking to purchase a replacement and I see original ones on eBay but they were taken off of the CDMA versions of the phone (either Verizon or Sprint). If I were to purchase one, would it work on mine?

I'm able to do it myself. I just wanted to know before I purchased one.
If they are as generic as stated, then yeah no reason you couldn't do it yourself. - It isn't an easy feat from what I have seen though. - Best thing to do would be email Samsung or a phone shop and ask if the screens are indeed compatible for all models just to be safe.
I'm not able to find a original samsung screen replacement for the Note 3. Anyone know of a legit shop or site that sells them?
Never purchased one myself, but just did a quick search on google.. this place looks okay, dont take my word for it though, i did not research the seller. They are advertised as OEM parts though.

im pretty sure us from xda-developers can get around the exclusion of mcafee, if anything a rom based on those variants should be enough unless its built into the hboot or aboot whatever its called on the lg g3
At some point, I think Google may incorporate that into Android L or later, that's the rumor going around anyhow. I do hope it is true.
Just in case anyone didn't know this as well, the G3 will not have wireless charging out of the box either here in the US (I have the South Korean version in the USA, same here). The carriers will push us to get the QuickCircle case with qi capabilities.

The original document that was from can be downloaded from LG. Won't let me post links till i've done 10 posts, though if you google "G3 (LG-D855) Customer Service Guide" it comes up.
Looks like a customer services guide for staff. Gives an overview of other features plus the table above on where McAfee is pre-installed.
I states in the specs table: "space memory available to users" with "32gb model: 23gb" and "16gb model: 10gb"
I wonder why the 32GB uses 9GB out of the factory and the 16GB only 6GB...?
Mcafee told me... Kill switch is LG's feature..
You have seen 2 identical devices with different screen quality? I have a g2 which arrived yesterday and compared it with a friend of mine who has a little more time bought, both were manufactured in Brazil and the device it is white better than mine, mine is more yellowish.
Both are D805, the only difference is that mine is gold and it's not. I use cloudy g3 and he kk 4.4.2, both were compared with the maximum brightness. I am very sad because this has happened with a optimus g I had.
Is that standard screens or is there some program that solves this? I've seen that has some programs that edit the color palette of the device type the "trickster mod" but do not know if I could resolve and I'm afraid to try.
In galaxy s3 / 4 has image mode (movie, dynamic, standard, etc.), if this unit had that could be the solution.
I took pictures for you to see the difference:
It seems silly but when we were stirring each in his cell that I compare with him quickly becomes very clear the difference.

Hello there, I'm sorry to hear about this!
Can you ask for a replacement for free? I think this would be the best solution.
There is something called color calibration here in xda, you can search for it.
The problem is that some devices don't have lots of people working on it (Nexus 5 owners had a lot due to a bad calibration and a yellowish screen) but if you can't replace it I'm pretty sure you can calibrate it.
Have a look here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2754491
but if its possible I would ask for a new LG G2 first!
Don't forget to thank me if I've helped you!

So, did you fix that?
A colleague at work has the LG G3. I think it's a beautiful looking device with great specs.
I'm not very fond of this whole Knox business and possible implications with warranty. So I might think about getting the next iteration (LG G4) for my next phone.
Of course, tomorrows announcement of the Note 4 might change that, we'll see.
Does anyone have any thoughts on the LG G3 compared to the Note 3?
And that was worthy making a thread on xda ? :sly:

I should have my G3 by next week, but I am not sure I will give up the Note 3 but I am interested in giving the device a try. In my region only the Exynos based devices are available so this places a limit on the availability of ROMs such as Cyanogenmod that I really would like to run. This being said the LG is also not necessarily a greener field Lg loves their locked boot loaders this can also interfere with loading custom ROMs. If you concerned about tripping Knox most things that would do that would also void your LG warranty I think.
Android Central has a great article looking at their G3 after two months and it may have some insights for you to help make up your mind.
