The enhanced 4g LTE option has disappeared from the menu and only 4G is available. So I am not able to make calls on JIO. I see there are lot of people having same issue, but not a single working solution anywhere. Tried every trick I found on google, even flashed with stock rom. Still same problem. Does anyone has any ROM that has VoLTE working?
Is the mobile data service also not working???? Or only call feature is not working???

Only the call feature is not working and 4G data works as it is.
You can use Jio4G Voice to make calls through data.

Yes I am doing that for now, but the app consumes lot of battery, plus call and data doesn't work together. Hope there will be a solution soon.

Custom ROMs do not support VOLTE, therefore your JIO services will not work correctly unless you keep stock. Please do not bother asking ever again. If anyone has a way to make JIO work outside of using traditional VOLTE please post it here and stop clogging up our forums with questions about JIO and VOLTE.

i agree with you. its a lil annoying when everyone wants spoon feeding
there is a friend called "google"
@deepluck you are searching for stock rom that's why you are not finding it, instead search factory firmware you will get:fingers-crossed:
AFAIK only asian / indian MM firmware supports volte. the european fw doesn't support it, it's a decision from Motorola. same like Moto E 2015. maybe Alberto97 knows if there is a way to fix it in custom roms
Or you can use jio4Gvoice app...it works perfectly for me only downside is that you have to keep data on always for receiving calls...
Here is the link... Follow it as accurately as possible or you may end up starting a nuclear war

If you face any problem or facing any issue you can always quote this post .
There is thanks button if I helped you in any way.
Thanks guys... Really appreciate the help. And @aadison you are right, I was searching for stock Rom. Thanks you all.

something that might help with this is an option located in developer settings in most custom ROMs, "Cellular data always active". this keeps your 4G active at all times, even if WiFi is connected. i use this on the newer Nougat 7.0 ROMs because of an issue that occurs when switching from WiFi back to cellular data sometimes (fails to connect to 4G, requires reboot to fix). it will consume a bit more battery, though.

The app is very versatile...it works with phones with 4g but no volte... you will get setup the sim option when you open the app just like it asks to setup wifi with jiofi devices.
I am using jio4gvoice on moto g turbo with latest unofficial CyanogenMod 14 rom....and i am able to make and receive calls.

I dont think it is related to ril deamon....
Jio4gVoice works like any other app which makes call over internet like whatsapp, imo or other apps. It doest work without internet.
This app doest fix volte of custom roms....its just an app provided by jio so that everyone can make calls. It was basically made for JioFi hotspot devices and phones with no volte support but someone tried it on custom roms and it worked so i also tried it and using it now.
I dont have a secondary phone or camera so i cannot make a video but i am finding a way to make a video using laptop and will upload it on YouTube.

Using the phones on Sprint.
Since three weeks or so, while on LTE, the incoming voice calls are going directly to voice mail.
Sprint looked at it and changed the Network to 3G and now getting a ring for the incoming calls.
Basically, I am forced to run the phones on 3G service.
Need to go to a service center (which is very far for me) to have the phone looked at.
Anyone facing similar issue?
PS: 2 of the 3 PH-1 phones I have, are having the issue.

Google have updated the dialer recently several times, could it be a bug that shows on Sprint, or do you have spam settings on, which I know has caught other people out. Check/play with spam settings in her dialer app.
(other areas I might check (if not dialer or network). I assume all phones were working before correctly, right? Are they different sims or the same sim in different phones? New sims, ie not old one you have cut down hat are old spec. Do lte settings match on different phones?)

Same issue. Did you get it fixed?
I also have this problem on Sprint.
Sometimes restarting the phone fixes the issue, sometimes it doesn't.
Between this and no longer being able to use Google Voice without using a separate number, I think it's time for me to bail on Sprint.
My wife had this issue a bit back. Only happened when the phone was using VoLTE (verified by a debug menu, *#*#4636#*#*, showing both voice/text and data marked as LTE).
Fix was to disable the Enhanced 4G LTE communications option, which forced the phone too fallback to nonVoLTE while still using LTE for data. Again confirmed using the phone information menu which showed voice as 1xRTT and data as LTE.
Hope this help and that we can get a better fix soon.

Didn't work for me either but I figured it out... what I had to do is change a setting under Google Voice in Settings under the tab CALLS change to "Use carrier only" and I did have to turn VoLTE off. I left the Preferred network type as LTE. Phone is working well now, with T-mobile and Google Voice I have been testing it all morning.
:highfive:
I realized while in a call the mobile data is gone which might be normal perhaps because it can only handle one thing through the modem......
I'm not sure, but just wanted to know if its not normal then anyone found a fix?
Thanks
Depends on the carrier, which carrier do you have?

Sounds like you changed settings to LTE only to force VoLTE without carrier support. That would be the behavior to expect under such circumstances. Not saying you did btw.

Thanks but no, I'm not forcing lte as there's no Volte here.
If there was then the problem wouldn't exist as those calls would go through mobile data and in that case the data wouldn't be cut.
Again, from what I've read around it really has to do with modem not being able to support 2 things at the same time like call (regular) + mobile data.
I just wanted to confirm more people are having this and that this behavior is kind of expected and not a glitch. As generally I have WiFi on I had never realised this until yesterday that I had WiFi off and was on a very long call and realised I couldn't access the Web at all.
same here

Did you ever find anything out i'm experiencing the same thing?
In my experience (not with this device) if there is lte link when placing a call, the data would fallback on 3g network. If no lte, there will be no data at all

And you're right, it does depend on carrier, however OP never told us. Lol. My brother has US Cellular and there is no data while on voice calls. That's just how their network is.
I sometimes use my Google Voice number to text and call folks. When I use the voice with the setting to "use carrier" then there are no issues. If the setting is to use data, then I can hear the person but they can't hear me. How do I fix this? Any suggestions?
V20, US99g, A-O Oreo Rom.
Anyone else experiencing this?
Any thoughts?
Any other place I should be posting this question?

I'm on Verizon. Does your phone support regular calls over WIFI/Data? I'm wondering it that might be the problem.

Sorry for the late reply. I've got wifi calling and all calls over data work fine. Even the video calling if the other person is on Tmo.
I'm on a custom rom, so wifi and data on at the same time doesn't work. That was true of all custom roms.

I never could get google voice to work properly. I've read it is a t-mobile thing.
But then I found this:
In a browser, login to your Google Voice account, and click on Settings. In the Voicemail tab, set up your greeting.
On your phone, install the Google Voice App.
From your phone's dialer, enter * * 0 0 4 * [Your Google Voice Number] #
I haven't tried it, but it may work for you.

What help?
If you have the AT&T Straight Talk SIM you will only be able to use VoLTE. If you change to the T-Mobile Straight Talk SIM you will be able to use both VoLTE and VoWiFi. There is no way to get VoWiFi working on AT&T or Straight Talk's AT&T. At least with Straight Talk it's as simple as changing SIM cards and everything works...
