Hello
Can someone help me. I bought my s8 unlocked, however when I put a sim card in, it is saying "network pin locked. Please enter network puk " I have checked but I am not on any carrier. Can someone please help? And yes I have tried multiple sim cards of the same network but I still get the same thing.

Hi
Its not by phone problem. Your Sim is locked call your operator or visit. They provide you PUK no. Of your sim enter it.
To confirm this problem is by sim try this same sim card in other phone.
I tried already

my sim card does not work, how can i unlock the phone to all networks? i hear theres a diy tutorial. im still on android 2.1
There's an SGS Unlock Tool App is in the Market. Search and Use that.
If it works, you'll get 2 set of codes. Unlock Code and Unfreeze code. save this somewhere like your PC or notebook. Don't lose these codes okay?
Now insert your sim again and it will then ask for the unlock code, enter it and bingo!
the unfreeze code is used when your phone freezes if you try entering invalid unlock codes several times.
Hope this helps.
thanks, i'll try this when i get home
should i update to froyo 1st?

nope. try the app while you are still in eclair. the app has some issues with froyo (i think) so better unlock it while in eclair before you upgrade your firmware.
let me know what happens.
wouldn't flashing it with a custom rom remove the internal branding and limitations?

Yes, 0's means your phone is already unlocked.
Will be something either wrong with your Sim card, or the phone has been blocked by the networks

Either your sim is bad or your network blocked the phones IMEI.

So i just got this phone from overseas it's on 4.4.2 baseband version I9505XXUFNBH, I need to get it unlocked but when I put my sim card in it from a different carrier i don't see any options come up for me to enter a unlock code? So I'm wondering if it's already unlocked but still when I have my sim card in it i don't get any signal bars whatsoever, only that circle which is crossed out i see there so anyone have any idea what might be wrong please

Hi
The baseband of your phone is GB/EE the same as mine. So it is possible that it is locked to EE or T-Mobile/Orange. Sorry I can't be of any real help.

Been searching for solution all over the web, couldn't find a precise solution yet or perhaps I could be the only one facing this.
I have a Samsung S7 Edge, with a Verizon carrier. The phone wasn't recognizing my sim network and kept on notifying I insert a Verizon Sim card.
Came across this post {GUIDE} Flashing the SM-935U firmware onto your Verizon S7 Edge and Rooting By dajmanjt, and followed it.:cyclops:
After successfully flashing the SM-935U firmware, the notification changed to No network connection, can't make calls, tried making an emergency call and it displays radio off.
Please, I need help!!! Need it to start recognizing my country's network (Nigeria).
Thanks
This isn't a must read ???

it looks like a hardware issue instead of software imo. And you probably flashed the wrong CSC (country code) firmware.

You are right. Is it possible to download the CSC and flash it separately?
And I will also need help in downloading a suitable or a universal ROM that is compatible with all cellular network if there is something like that.
Thanks so far Fureedx

Whats your model number? Go into the phone settings and check in there. The more details you provide the faster you will get an answer. Going through the Odin process you mentioned will not unlock your phone. It lets you change to different carrier firmware but you still need an unlocked device otherwise it will not work.

Strangely I cannot find anything on that model # you posted. Are you sure; there is F after GM950? Can you go to Samsung official website > http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/phones/galaxy-s/s/_/n-10+11+hv1rp+zq1xa/ and find your model? Also, can you also share your baseband version as well?
Edit: Looks like you have the Exynos model which goes by different alias (SM-G950G, G950G, SM-G959FD, G950FD)? Is that correct? .
This happened to me earlier today also. I have the G955F since late May and all has been well. I wanted to Flash CarHDRom V.4.1.1 today coming from Renovate. First boot with new rom I get the unlock sim screen. (never seen this after almost 8 years of flashing) Also a standing message in notifications "network locked sim card".
The sim card works fine in my backup phone. Why would it all of a sudden do this and how do I find the unlock code? Phone is otherwise useless now.
