Hi All,
My OP5 is amazing and i am very happy with it, there is only one flaw right now.
I have my Gear S3 smartwach always connected to my OP5 and that seems to work all the time.
Im on 4.5.5 and sometimes the bluetooth turns randomly OFF, especially when i jump into my car, then it connects to my infotainment system and after a call or a skip of a song my bluetooth on OP5 turned off.
This happens randomly, sometimes its working...
Its not a big deal so i just need to turn it on again and click on connect to my audi, then it works.
I dont know if its because of my double connection with my watch or a little bug...
Did you experience anything like this aswell?
thank you guys.
Hi have a similar problem with a skoda Octavia.
I had the same thing happen with my S7 edge before the op5. So I don't think it's necessarily an issue with oxygen os. I use Tasker to setup a profile so whenever it disconnects it'll automatically reconnect.

thank you for the tip, i still need some help with it, so i have 2 devices in bluetooth setting, gear S3 and Audi, Gear S3 is always connected, when audio turns on, it is not connecting automatically, only when gear s3 is turned off it connects automatically.
Now i need to setup a task where BT connects to the Audi as soon it sees the audi in settings..how guys?
Thank you!

I have BT connection problems too in my car.
If i set up the BT connection just for calls it works ok. But if i setup the connection for calls and media (music streaming) the connection to my car fails most of the times. Sometimes it makes my radio reboots! If i reconnect manually from the car menus it connects, but its annoying to do this almost all the time i enter in my car.
This is the only phone that has this problem in my car (Skoda Octavia)

I've had issues with Bluetooth since I bought this phone, over a number of different ROMs and kernels. Basically it refuses to connect to my car at random. Sometime it connects fine, sometimes I have to power cycle it to get it to connect. I recently started playing with Tasker and noticed something strange. Tasker is actually registering a Bluetooth connect and immediate disconnect every 11 seconds. The Bluetooth icon never changes to blue, however.
Does this sound familiar to anyone? Is there a log I can check that will give me more details on why it's not staying connected for more than a split second?

Have you tried other bluetooth devices to your phone other than your car? If yes, then it's the phone, if not, then it's the car. If it is the car, is there a way to "update" the bluetooth drivers on it? Is it a VW or BMW?

I actually don't have any other bluetooth devices to test it with. My Galaxy Nexus connects just fine to it though. It's a Logitech Liquid Aux device.
I have a Jabra Freeway in my car and Plantronics M165 in my ear. My iPhone would work with both devices at the same time. Even with the M165 on, the iPhone would connect to the Freeway when I got in the car. When the phone rang, it rang both devices and I could answer either one.
Now I’ve got the Note 3 and it seems that it will only connect to one or the other. Both devices work fine. Just not at the same time. If I get in the car with the M165 on, the Freeway just says “disconnected” repeatedly until I turn the M165 off.
I presume this is a limitation of the Note 3 bluetooth stack but just thought I would check to be sure. I read on another forum where someone said it should work with both devices but that was all that was said. Anybody actually do this with the Note 3?
From what I have found you can have 2 Bluetooth devices connected at the same time, but not performing the same function. For example, you can have your headset bluetooth set as the active bluetooth for phone functions and your car bluetooth set as the active bluetooth for media functions. If you long press each Bluetooth device within the Bluetooth settings menu on your phone, you can choose how your phone connects via bluetooth to each device.
and that is, from what I understand, the Bluetooth limitations for Android.

That's what I figured. I'll keep my fingers crossed that KitKat updates will remedy this. In the meantime I guess it's a small thing to give up in exchange for the gains.
I had the Note 3 and it interfaced very well with my 2013 Subaru Impreza stereo. The Note 4, however, will initially connect but after turning the stereo off, then back on, it will not auto reconnect. The same behavior happens when the car is turned off and on.
I must tap the stereo in the BT app to get it to reconnect and sometimes I have to turn on the phone "visibility" to get the connection to happen.
So, that means no BT phone unless I'm already listening to a BT source.
I think it is related to the newer BT stack and its low power modes.
Anyone else seen this BT behavior?
Yes, I am seeing similar behavior. My Bluetooth tends to disconnect at times, seemingly at random as well.
Also very frustrating is the fact that I can not just enter my car and have the Bluetooth auto connect. I have to open the bluetooth page and select my car from the list of devices manually. This seems primative. If there is a way to change this can someone please post it?
I've started using Tasker and it has saved my bacon. Works like a charm. I've even used it to automate turning on Slacker when I get in the car.... So, a work around...
I have no problem whatsoever while connecting to my Dodge Charger 2014 ..every time i get in the car the Note 4 auto connects... i have the viisbility timeout set to Never..
My issue today is that my bluetooth will not pair properly and remember its configurations. My initial pairing on my phone with my car's flexsmart X3 works perfect, however when I turn off my bluetooth on the phone or turn off my car and turn it back on the phone will still see the flexsmart and it will say it is paired but I get no sound. Upon further investigating I find that in the options setting that neither the call nor music tick box is checked. If I try to tick them it will think for a few seconds and then gray out and do nothing again.
I never had a problem with my note 2 or my temp replacement evo 3d remembering these settings. All I would do with those phones was pair it once and then any time I hopped in the car I would just turn onm,y phone's bluetooth and go. Now with my note 4 I have to unpair and repair the devices each and every time which is a huge pain. Once I have initially paired the bluetooth though it will stay connected without any interruptions. Also pairing for me is really fast and only takes a minute or so. My problem is that again instead of my phone remembering the current device settings that it is paired with, it will forget to associate it with calls and data after I turn the bluetooth off and then later back on even though the phone will still remember it is paired with the car bluetooth.
I have read a little bit that this is due to samsung note 4 using a newer bluetooth standard than its predecessors. Is there anyway to circumvent this issue by maybe rolling back the bluetooth drivers or something? I even thought about creating a tasker profile to help with this but still I would have to physically press the search button on the flexsmart eachtime.
First world problems I know but it gets a tad annoying having to unpair and repair my phone each and everytime I hop in my car to go somewhere if I want to listen to my music. Any and all suggestions would be great.
Also right now I am on a sprint network rooted stock 5.0.1 if that helps any
Hi all,
I got a Huawei Smart Watch a few weeks ago.
For some reason when it's connected to the Nexus 6P with Bluetooth Audio switched on in the Watch, it won't connect to the Car's Bluetooth when the car is switched on.
Is anyone having this same issue? is there anyway of fixing it apart from turning off the Bluetooth Audio function on the watch?
Surely the phone could priorities the Car's Bluetooth. I don't seem to see this issue with either other watches or phones.
Im not sure if the device has a way to set priority of BT items but IIRC, you can only connect one type of BT device at a time. I have a Samsung gear Live watch which runs android wear. it stays connected all of the time and I can still connect to my truck BT radio. But you cannot connect headphones and a speaker to BT at the same time. just dont work that way.
