hello everyone, im just bought the new gear watch,but i can not use it yet because im running on 4.2.2. i need to update to 4.3 to use the gear. im using metropcs on gs4 att i337ucuamf3 . i need help please to use my new gear. thank you all in advance

matter fact i have earlier and i downloaded the update zib, however did not know what to do with it. fyi. the phone is not rooted . if you are kind please walk me to it for my ignorance and also i do not want to brick the phone. thank you

In order for me to help u ....i need to know from which part that u don't understand.....as per XDA rules u need to READ before posting ....... STOCK phone is always recomended ......let's start with the easier way:
1. Put update.zip in your Sd Card
2. Reboot phone to recovery by power off your phone. Use combo Button ( VolUp+Home key+Power button) hold them together and when u feel vibration let go power button while still holding VolUP and Home key .....and then u would see samsung galaxy S4 black splash screen and small tiny reboot recovery..... on top left and u can let go both Vol Up and Home key......that's should bring u to android stock recovery.
3. choose apply or install update zip from external sd card......wait...... and reboot system when is done or it might reboot automatic.....Woollaa.....now u have 4.3 android MK2 firmware
But IF doesn't work u need do these following in order for u to do

4. U need Samsung USB driver install to your PC ......Install SAMSUNG KIES and plug your phone.....it will install latest driver for your phone
5. Make sure u unable USB debugging mode on ur phone.....go to menu>settings>more> it should be on top of about device ( Developer options ) but if u dont have it go to about device and click build number 4/5 time....so that will unable developer optins and CHECK USB DEBUGGING.
6. Make sure u have latest ADB ( Android Debugging Bridge ) version 1.0.31.... ANDROID SDK
Well u might already knew all these step.......and hopefully this wil get u start it if u dont...... please PM me if u need anymore help.....

I'm Glad that i can help and give back to this great community what i've learned.........and worked out for u with the easier way......just in case in the future u need to root, installing custom recovery ( Safestrap ) for now, the other following guide keep it handy on your PC.....don't forget hit THANK and Rate thread where you DL the update.zip.......

im being greedy,lol. any experience with verizon s4? im on me7 4.2.2 and i hoked it to kies and i have an update to mk2. what mk2 would do ? thank you

Well For Verizon is different firmware ( I545VRUAxxx ) and ATT firmware ( I337UCUAxxx ) If i were u i just keep 4.2.2 ....root it,install custom recovery....and since u still on 4.2.2 is alot easier to install custom 4.3 base rom or even GPE 4.4.2 KitKat,AOKP, AOSP,CM ....but with 4.3 MK2 bootloader are locked so tight your only hope is Safestrap recovery for now but very limited to install custom 4.3 TW rom maybe 2 or 3 would boot up.People are dying to have older firmware so they able to do what ever they want to their phone. The reason they update is because ATT and VRZ want to lock the bootloader so we are not able to flash custom rom beside OTA ...u can always go to SAMSUNG FIRMWARE UPGRADE to check if there is update.zip files or u can always go to Verizon Galaxy S4 FORUM

Im hoping you read this and you can really help me out i have a international unlock note 3 ( Samsung-Galaxy-Factory-Unlocked ) now i got it rooted but i cant flash the kit kat and or anything on it because it dont have a download mode and when i try to put it in download mode i get "factory data" and odin doesnt see it but my computer does please help me...i follow you on everything lol Than you Astagh Firullah

Check ur device,whether its original or not

[Q] No recovery mode or s planner!

Hi all I updated my note 3 with an s5 rom and it's great my only problem is I can't boot into recovery if I want to reinstall another rom.....also my s planner widget is gone and I used it daily and can't find a way to get it back....also I don't have a computer to connect my phone too...Any help would be greatly appreciated. Brian.

Since you said your phone is using s5 rom i believe it's rooted. Go to twrp web and it will show you how to flash recovery using terminal emulator/dd method. No need a computer

Grand Prime SM-530AZ (Cricket Variant) Bricked

Hello I was recently trying to flash twrp and I somehow bricked my phone and I've tried some things but I cannot seem to get it unbricked so I'm coming here for help thanks.
Edit: Correction SM-G530AZ
(I tried doing this half asleep)

The problem is that the 530AZ has a locked bootloader so your failing the secure checks. You need to download KIES 3 from samsung and put the device in download mode, connect it to your pc with usb open kies 3 and at the top click tools then firmware upgrade and initialisation. It will pop up and ask you to enter the model name enter SM-G530AZ and click ok, now it will as you for the S/N which is under the battery so have that ready before obviously then press ok and follow the prompts it will reflash the stock firmware. I had same prob. You are getting the error screen telling you that you have flashed unauthorized software correct?

Is there a way to unlock the bootloader on this varient? I recently rooted my Grand Prime SM-530AZ, got Xposed and the Frameworks installed! Then I got a little overzealous and tried flashing TWRP fr the 530H. That was unsuccessful and I had to restore to factory recovery. I am now back to bein rooted with SuperSU installed and Up to date. I am trying to remember how I got the framework to work on my Grand Prime SM-530AZ. But what I really really want is a custom recovery. And in order to do so I am assuming I need to unlock the bootloader, correct? I (think) I used to have an option in my settings that said something like OEM-Unlock and I had it checked (I believe) but now I can not find this setting anywhere. Toxinburn I know you are a very busy guy and you do a lot for the community and it is greatly appreciated. But I was wondering if there was anyway you would be able to help me out with these few things? I would even donate to you for your time because like I said I am very grateful for you and your help!

Need help with a s8 root?

Hello i was trying to root my phone i have rooted all my old phones and most of the times it works fine but this time i don't know what i did wrong. when i tried the first time it said failed so i did not know what do to do so i just did a reboot and now i am perma rebooting and can't stop i can put it in download mode but i don't know what do there can anyone help or am i ****ed?. all i can really do is put it in download mode let me know if you need any info and i can try and give it to you

first of all, i need your firmware, your root method you tried. If you bootloop your phone you must flash the stock firmware through odin .. and then root with a legit way.

i am little bit confused, help me to help you ! Well , now your phone is bootlooped or no? If it is not , what rom do you have? stock one ?
You can try this method as well, because the method you tried needs to flash a custom rom . i do not like that kind of root method . For me first you flash twrp through odin, flash root, better magisk, and then flash your rom .

alright you are gonna need to flash stock rom from sammobile look the link bellow, but first create an account on sammobile . the process will take like 3 hours . after that you flash the stock rom, and boot your phone normally, enable dev option by tapping 7 times on build number on software information, then go to developer options and enable Usb debugging, get your phone on download mode by turning off your phone and pressing the power button, bixby button, and volume up to flash root . i think you know the process . i will be waiting for you reply.
search for your country and csc first. unless if you already have the firmware on you pc.
