My brother has this smartphone : Huawei p8 dual sim GRA-UL00C185 and from two/three month his p8 works only in 2G networks.
If in network settings we choose LTE/WCDMA/GSM a cross appears on networks signals bar . I see that if I choose 2G mode the networks works well.
I have done an hard reset and I did an update to GRA-UL00C185B387 (I have downloaded manually the firmware with firmware finder) but the issue remains.
I also used this code *#*#2846579#*#* to check the vendor version and the following is the result :
Coutry info: meafnaf
Vendor: hw
It can be an hardware problem ? Or maybe it can be country fault ? We live in italy .
I don't know what can I do
No one have an idea ? :/

I want to active 4g network but when I click on Prefered Network mode there isn't the selection "4G" but just these two voices:
- WCDMA/GSM auto
- GSM only
Do you know why?

Do you know any code to be able to list all LTE band supported by the device ?
I'm trying *#*#4636#*#* but nothing happens.
I transformed my L04C567 to L09C432 hopping it will active dual sim but it did not
before I revert back to L04 I would like to check if it supports same LTE bands or not.

It's hardware related not software... So even installing ie L09 or any other firmware which supports dual sim. So its not going to work
Dear all, I need all help to confirm as I read thru there no firmed answers.
1. Does AL10 dual sim support Sim1 on 4G & Sim2 on 3G? Either in Nougat or MM, emui 4.0/4.1/5.0?
I saw Mate 9 confirmed that it will have sim1 on 4G; sim2 on 3G. It is firmware that tweak this or must be hardware change?
2. Can I flash AL10 firmware to my L29? As I saw there are people flashing L29 to AL10 but not the reverse way.
3. Anyone know what will happen if the countries shutting down GSM network. Does it means our dual sim will eventually become redundant and only work as single sim variant after 2G network shutdown.

Volte works for me in hk and china traveling. If you are in another region it will not work since csc does not include your regions carriers.

Ohh so this is a problem i had been afraid of this i was going to sell my phone my region is Pakistan but when i put the Lte network sim card on my phone so networks shows 4g 3g 2g Auto connect i want to set 4g only or 3g only but its not i tried *#*#4636#*#* its also not working what should i do do u have any idea about it :crying:
set to auto. all you can do is maybe try to flash your regions csc with odin. Google for directions i will not answer how to do it. still have issues sell/donate your phone to a dev or someone who can give it a good home.

in india but I m facing problems with my Airtel 4g sim
1. Not getting 4g network showing Edge
2. Frequently say not registered with network
Signal dropping
It is in latest firmware android 10 security patch 1 June 2020

I am also using same device in India recently facing issue with Vodafone but later on when I try airtel and jio sim its working fine there no issue with your phone its must be issue with airtel network in your area try some other sim just to check later on once the network issue fixed in my area my problem got fixed automatically
tried with jio also but shows volte lte but no calls and internet facing problems
Tell me one think if I change my motherboard to sm-g975f motherboard can I fit Indian variant motherboard in it ??
Thats not possible bro its not your phone issue its a network issue check with airtel
But I m asking that if I change motherboard to Indian variant motherboard it will work??
