VoLTE - Moto G4 Play Questions & Answers

Hi everyone ! Bought this phone a month back . Quite happy with my purchase . But ( as usual ) I feel the need for a Custom ROM .
I read somewhere that VoLTE doesn't work on MOTO g4 play custom Roms . Is it true ?
Also which Nougat ROM is best for battery life and has useful features ? I don't all the superfluous features in the world , just good battery life , good performance and some essential features will b good enough for me
Thanks in advance

VoLTE is working on crDroid on my G4 Play on a T-Mobile MVNO.
WiFi calling is not supported though.

First I 'm sorry for this my English!
We know that the Galaxy SII is one of the most popular gadgets that have , and even receive several Customs Roms , even the hardware the same as not being friendly with the developer apparently , but the success and quality of ROMs is incredible .
Because of this , came through this post , ask for them to give attention to the 7-inch Tablet from Samsung , especially the Plus series, which has a great hardware , even for the times , briefly have the same CPU and GPU Galaxy SII .
Because of this , I may be wrong , but I believe the quality of this team of developers, who could reuse much of the code of the Galaxy SII adapting to these devices .
We do have some Customs unofficial ROMs , but none of them reached the level of being fully functional ( Wifi , 3G , Mass Storage , FC , etc. ) , some things always have problems that hinder normal use . Have stayed up jealous of other devices that receive Roms officers enjoy an amazing quality even in Beta ( Nightly ) state until I was already regretting having bought my appliance, although it helps me a lot with my studies , and I hope to finish programming languages and start working with Android and also help others .
So I fortifico my application to work with these Tablets 7 " which is still an Android 4.4.2 Kitkat would run smoothly , and I guarantee that has a mass of users that would be happy to enjoy a lightweight , functional , beautiful ROM , . everything the Kitkat has to offer will be even great, please affix these devices : Galaxy Tab Plus 7 " and 7.7 " ( P6200 , P6210 , P6800 and O6810 ) .
the procedure is very simple
1. get your sources up and working
2. set up aokp-compatible device side trees on your github
3. send us a device addition patch to our gerrit and we'll look at it from there
some example patches of device addition are : -

First, thanks for your feedback!
The problem I do not know how to do it. I'm just a beginner in programming, which still kills in simple things, but very curious.
There is information about the difficulties that Daniel is having to develop, if relevant would like to take a look, because we need help to keep these alive Tablets:

Dear friends,
I really agree to the things which you have told. As most of the developers are focusing only on the hit devices which the people actually fear to change the ROM due to their warranty void. But people like us try new devices and new ROM because of the curiosity and for better understanding, for such we are not getting enough support, even for the few those who try to develop also.
I request those who are familiar in this kind of development, please help each other so that we will be able to support all kind of devices, or atleast the best hardware products.
Thank You

[Q] ROM that Everyone wants!

(Also written at http://forums.yuplaygod.com/threads/rom-that-everyone-wants.13818/ )
I was very desperately searching for solution for using GB on Yureka. Don't get me wrong, Cyanogen rocks yet I'm not a fan of Cyanogen but of AOSP !!!
For now, I simply just want to add Network traffic Indicator in Status bar, which is awesome tweak available in most Custom ROMs. Tell me who doesn't in country like India don't want to know exact data transfer speed when they're using Internet on Wi-Fi or 2G(3G) in terrible Networks we have??? YU Brand which asked Cyanogen to make OS for their product should have thought Network traffic Indicator which is one of mandatory software tweaks aftermarket custom OS must have for country like India. I know an app "INTERNET SPEED METRE LITE" that shows speed. But knowing Up and Down speed simultaneously is must for a Power user. That app is awesome work for Non-rooted phones. Cyanogen containing after-market tweaks must have added this tiny status addon, but they don't !!!
To get that, I've tried Custom CM based ROMs. Not just one but many. Every ROM reboots itselves randomly without even showing a error message. During such causes last_kmsg is always empty. I used least Minimalistic Gapps which works flawless on my Nexus device.
Hence this my Mind-thought I thought seems best solution. Than, Collaborating with Cyanogen, YU could have saved money simply by using AOSP Android versions on their phones, thus reducing more cost, granting fluid, awesome,STABLE android experience. Updating to latest android will be lot easier! Porting OS's will be easy. There exist Xposed and GB to satisfy all power users. ROoting can be done easier. CM can easily be made on AOSP. AOSP is difficult to derive for CM commits!!!
I Really appreciate works @percy_g2 who have build AOSP version for Yureka at http://forum.xda-developers.com/yureka/orig-development/rom-android-source-project-t3097017 I would simply use that If it's Radio is made working...
Being Nexus user, Yureka is difficult to arrive at that fluid Stable Power user experience what I always enjoyed on my Nexus 4. So, what do YU people think ???, vote and reply on...
Bro! What exactly is this post for ?
Pure AOSP for Yureka - Yes Please !!
Yes as mentioned above and have used MOTO G 2 earlier, I switched to Yureka for 4G LTE Connection but I miss the Pure AOSP Vanilla Experience which I used to get from MOTO phone. I am currently on SOKP which is an AOSP based rom but had some tweaks added. I also looking for someone from the Devs to build or port a pure AOSP Rom without any modifications from the Source.
Hope we will soon see a Pure AOSP Rom !!

Cyanogenmod for Galaxy A800F .. Still a Dream

Waiting for this Rom since 5 months..but no luck
It's very sad to see development is going great for Galaxy A3,A5,A7 but not for the flagship A8 that doesn't even have a stable CM13 Rom till now. What might be the reason for this ?
PedroMarthon and few other people has done an excellent job by bringing CM13 for this model into existence. Much Appreciation for their work but the ROM has so many problems ( camera + dual sim card +fingerprint +sound )
But why there are very few developers for this model and why the development is very slow compared to other devices ?
This is not judging developers work or their effort but the general curiosity that why this model has very less development
This is the slimmest phone in whole Samsung's lineup yet this doesn't have that flavour of stock android experience.
How we all as a Team can gather more developers for this model and get awesome work go ?
What should be our contribution for bringing more developers to work an awesome CM13 rom ( Including Fingerprint ) with very less flaws for this model ?
The problem is that not much people are using it,as u can see,its time for you to start devlopment.

ROMs for an Edge noob

Bought a S7 (935F) to replace my failing Nexus 6 (great phone, great ROMs and development, but not so great camera)
It looks like as far as volume the Superman gets a lot of attention ..... And then I see a loyal following for a few others.
Could any of you (mainly AT&T users, since that sometime effects these international phone ROMs) that have a few minutes could you please share which ROM you use and very briefly why. The setup is a bit complicated especially with N and new CSC issues ( VoLTE and I wish WiFi calling)
Thanks
I have a 935F running on Straight Talk ATT, using Superman or King of Nougat, custom kernel is Apollo with max CPU and GPU overclocking. Completely stable.
The reason those two ROMs are my favorites is because they provide all the features I want for free. Other roms may require you to buy a Playstore app to unlock features.
Since my MVNO doesn't support VoLTE, I can't comment on it. As for WiFi calling, I use Google Voice via WiFi or 4g with no issues, though I suspect you're wanting a more carrier-specific answer that I can't provide because of the MVNO thing.
As for CSC, just use the Nougat default of Great Britain and you should be OK (again, VoLTE and WiFi calling may require carrier-specific CSC)

None of the custom roms support double tap to wake.
There are apps at the play store that can do it if you
find a compatible one, there are many you can try.
Read the last update dates before trying one so you
won't be wasting your time on a 2-3 year old app
which is not compatible to newer android versions.
Good luck, have a great day!
