Does anybody experience the same issue or knows a solution?
My Huawei P8 has issues with the google calendar sync. It randomly deletes entries from the calendar by either declining or deleting invitations, that were formerly added to the calendar. Aftfter recreating them from the garbage bin of google calendar, the deletion repeats a few hours/days later.
This did not happen always in the past, i am experiencing this since maybe 1 year. I also updated to firmware B397 but this did not help, since the same issues persist.
This is issue only appears on my P8 and NOT on my other android phone. And it is NOT a userspecific issue, it also appears with an other google account. So it definitely has something to do with the phone, but i do not know what.
does someone have any clue?
Thank you in advance,
chris

Try clearing the Calendar's data & cache, then check if it works ok: Settings > Apps > Menu (bottom right) > Show system processes - then clear them in both these locations:
• Calendar > Storage > Clear data & Clear cache
• Calendar Storage > Storage > Clear data & Clear cache
If that doesn't solve it, you could try an alternative calendar app, like Google Calendar perhaps.
Unfortunately, I do.
The only solution I find is to disable stock Calendar and use different app. But for me it is not a solution, because I use personal GMail and corporate Outlook and I would like to see agenda for both calendars at the same time on my home screen.
thanks for your reply.
deleting the cache did not help, since the issue appears also after a reinstallation of the phone.
also installing google calendar did not help, since the issues appear with and come from the stock calendar app.
i will try this solution:
The solution basically is very simple: You just remove all permissions of the original Huawei calendar: Settings/Apps/Calendar (The original Huawei calendcr not the Google Calendar)/Permissions. Here you simply remove ALL permissions. The Google calendar continues to work properly after that change.

So I searched the forums for any solution to this problem but to no avail. I have a tf300t that is unlocked, rooted and updated to 4.2.1. Up until recently everything was fine until I realised that my google calendar no longer syncs. Neither does the default asus calendar. I have tried many things but nothing has worked. I've tried uninstalling calendar, removing google account, readding but nothing has worked. I think the problem started when I tried to use ASUS sync with it on my laptop (the calendar and contacts was greyed out on the asus pc sync software). Any suggestions as to how to correct this? I really would like my calendar to be working again. Now I'm considering just doing a clean install again to get this thing to work.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
When you go to Settings, select Google under Accounts, and select your Google account, is there a check mark next to Calendar? If so, is there some kind of error message? It's possible that when you set up the ASUS sync software, it just set your sync settings to no longer sync your calendar and contacts with Google since it assumes you'll be doing that with the ASUS software instead.
Otherwise, if there's an error, it could be conflicting with the ASUS software in some way. In that case, you could try clearing the data from, and disabling, the ASUS apps, clear data from Google Calendar and People, and resync. I know that when I used MIUI on my Evo 4G, if you used the built-in MIUI Backup app to restore contact info, it conflicted with Google's contact sync. That could be happening here, too.

Anyone has any issue with Google Contact Sync? It says "sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly".
Several methods I've tried before:
1. Delete the Google account and add again
2. Clear data from "Contacts Storage"
3. Enable all google related services that I have disabled before (Google Newstand, Google Book and etc)
It seems that I can only download the contacts the first time I add the account, but any edit I make on the phone won't sync back to Google.
Can't find any other new method from Google result...

Go to contacts (not with phone but contact app) go to settings then account and see if Google is there
Yes it is there, along with other stuff like Whatsapp, Samsung, Facebook etc. I have tried removing Google, re-add again, and then tweak one contact on my phone, and then go back to the setting > account > google to check, and there it is, "sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly" on the Contact part..
I was wondering if you got anywhere on this when you had the issue? I am having a similar problem.
I am having problem regarding my screen wake up. It wakes up from time to time automatically. I installed Wakelock Detector to track the app and found out Window manager has woken up the screen. How to disable it?
Another problem I have is callendar sync.
From time to time after restart my calendar sync disappears, I have no callendar at all and there is no ability to sync it in settings -> accounts -> google -> callendar simply becouse, IT DISSAPPEARS!!! After restar everything comes back to normal for few hours or to next restart....
HELP!!!
I have figured out what wakes phone... It was battery manager which draineg my battery... sic...
About the second problem, I can add that deleting google account and re-adding it also gives me back option to sync calendar for few hours...
Do not use unnecessary apps, unless it requires for purpose. Stock apps are enough according to me. These all are just fashionable, no real purpose. Some rungs in background and keeps ram and drains battery.
About the calendar/splaner app: again look for any aftermarket apps if anything causing this. remove if any apps for sync automated etc. From account uncheck google calendar sync or turn off Sync from notification then Go to apps > all apps and find the splanner and clear all data including cache memory. (If you have only google calendar, contact birthdays data then no probs, but all manual events will be gone.) After clearing restart the phone and again check calendar from account or enable sync. Let it sync or do a manual google sync and then check. check once and again restart the phone and then check again.
If this solve then fine otherwise do a factory reset or do a hard reset by holding power+home+vol button. Its clearly a app related issue.

Hmmmmm, I wiped phone, installed everything from begining... AND!!! Nothing.... It's the same.
Please Help...
I tried to sync with Google calendar from Settings/Google account, it says synced but when I go into the default Calendar app and refresh the calendar is still blank with no entries.
Did lot of settings and cleared data under Calendar in Apps and enabled/disabled and re-synced as well but nothing is working. Also followed this but it didnt helped either.
What can be done??
My phone calendar still shows just one test entry I had created.
Rest my phone is working fine.
I thought so too, but I found out that entries are just not marked. For example i have important thing on 09. of february (which i synced with google on my old phone) and it wasn't marked. I tried and tried everything, but the last thing I did is click on that date to realise the event is there and synced, but just not shown in color.
@nri_tech1183 as stated in your link you just need to clear data and cache for Calendar Storage app. Then enter Calendar app and wait a few seconds, all should be fine.
If issue isn't gone try another calendar app to see how it behaves.

I already did that and not a single entry has been reflected/synced to my phones default calendar app.

I had to install Google Kalender first. After that I was able to enable the different calenders that I use in google. Now I have 2 calenders installed. I might just get rid of the Sony calender. One is more that enough...

that's exactly what I did in my all-in-one rom
from my changelog:
Google calendar replacing sony's (can't really get used to sony one, too laggy and slow!! plus to sync my birthdays it requires me to install the Google one first so i think it is time to replace it completely.. )

edit: if interested, to completely get rid of sony calendar you can just delete "SemcCalendar" and "GoogleCalendarSyncAdapter" (not needed for Google Calendar) from /system/app
Hi Folks,
Your help please.
I have a stock Mate 9 / MHA-AL00 / EMUI 5.001, set to use English language & loaded with Google Play Store (USA). Its a great phone as we all know. No major issues with my set up. My problem...Google calendar only synchs when the phone is booted/rebooted. There are NO synch issues with GMail or any other program. None of the advice from Google Help addresses my issue. I'm unable to disable or uninstall the baked in Google Calendar from the orginnal Huawei load but not an issue as it runs but won't synch either unless I reboot.
One more bit of odd behavior....when the phone is restarted and I go into Settings/Accounts/Google/Calendar Synch.....I'm able to switch on and off the Calendar Synch switch with good results IF I do this within 8 minutes of the restart. After 8 minutes or so, the synch function doesn't work...until the next reboot. Clearing the caches on the calendar programs does not help. There is a Google Calendar Synch app (system installed) but it doesn't seem to do the synching I'm needing.
Your thoughts please...and thank you.
