Lock Buttons Quick Setting Tile - OnePlus 5 Questions & Answers

Anybody know how to get this back?
Pretty useful feature when you have kids. It's disappeared from OOS on the OP5 and latest open betas for the 3/3T.

Use game mode

Is "screen pinning" still an option? I find that most useful to lock a user into a single app.

[Q] Note 4 Tap to Wake

Hi,
I'm considering picking up the new Note 4, but this seemingly trivial feature is something I've grown to love on my Xperia and LG devices. Does the Note 4 have a double tap to wake feature implemented? Thanks!
There isn't any need for double tap to wake on Samsung devices as there is a physical home button.
This is a big one for me. The double tap to wake or close on the LG G3 has become one of my favorite features.
Regardless or not of there is a home button it would be nice to see this.
It does not.

It does not have double tap but it does have an air gesture where you move your hand over the IR sensor and it will wake your phone.

wow that's awesome. from the GSM arena review, they stated that the IR functions were taken out, so no more air gestures. weird.

Try Nova Launcher with Screen of and lock found in the playstore. Enable the app and set as double tap in gesture. Give it a try, might work.

it wakes the device, but it doesn't unlock it.
As I remember, on HTC (One M8, I think), you just need to make a gesture on the screen and it wakes up & unlocks the device.
Is it correct?

It should be in Motions And Gestures if it has this function, but it's not there at all...
I have not tried it, but this article seems to suggest "knock on" should be possible on any rooted android phone. As others said, "knock off" is easy enough to set up with Nova.

Have you looked under accessibility? For some reason I remember reading somewhere that that is where the air gesture to wake is located.

It won't be with play services, rather the Google app itself.
I wonder how this would compare legally to fingerprint/pin lock in regards to being compelled to unlock your device.

Don't think it would be any different than the other "trusted" options like face, location, and on-body. They are just smart compliments to backup pin/pattern locks.
Has anyone here received this update yet? I've been anxiously awaiting its arrival or been searching for an APK download. Looking forward to trying it out.
installed the latest, and it seemed to disable all security options... i would hold off

im running terminus. but the stock options are just like the ones i posted. either euphoria is missing some files/code, or you somehow are. find out if other euphoria users have ok google working with the screen off and unplugged. if its just euphoria, now a days its easily fixable.

it would have to be fixed/enabled in the rom. but you might have a temporary solution, if it still works. i started a thread last year about this, and not working on aosp roms. until we finally found a solution to it(just some missing files in aosp source). check out the thread, yes its old now, but you might find a temporary solurion in there that will work for you. and please ask, thats the only way we will find out if its the rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6/general/ok-google-everywhere-aosp-rom-t2963716

Disable app drawer?

Was on Twitter and found this article http://m.androidcentral.com/samsung-labs-feature-galaxy-s7-lets-you-turn-app-drawer about removing the app drawer. I want to enable this feature but can't find the option in settings.
This is a setting that is probably disabled by us carriers..... I hope sprint and others leave it in but will probably have to root and install rom for it....

Well what's wrong in having choice not everyone have to like the same thing and set up. For people who use very less number of apps I can see this being simple. Even with iPhone or without app drawer you can use one finger swipe down gesture and bring up app search control. I don't see a big deal without app drawer but I would prefer to leave it up to the user to decide if they want or not as a setting.

I'm using Huawei X2 for the last few months now, I have started wondering what's the use of App Drawer, first thing I will do when get my S7e is to disable it, hopefully it will be in the unlocked version's settings.

Mate 8 pressure sensing

Hi
I just found this activity while checking
this app QuickShortcutMaker.
Application: Settings
Activity: Pressure sensing
Package/Class: com.android.settings/com.android.settings.pressure.PressureResponseSettingsActivity
How can we benfit from this?
Bye
Here is a screen shot
is it working or just useless function enable !!
I think that's just some old code from the Mate S Emui which they weren't bothered about removing
I slid the slider to the left and I swear it now takes less effort to press onscreen buttons.

Oh well, despite glove mode on I had a few touch screen registration issues here and there, caused I assume, by tempered glass screen protection, and I'm 75% positive it's way better and snappy now.
Menu has other hidden but undoubtedly working features, why this one wouldn't ?
Thanks for this !
I can't find the settings for the pressure sensing. I feel that my touchscreen is not as sensitive as other phone. Would really appreciate if this method works
Use an app that can open activities. As for me I used that good ol' lmt pie. Pressure settings can be found there at the very bottom of the endless parameters activity list.

Recently Uninstalled Gone?

Hey guys, i would have sworn i saw this advertised at some point on the V20 for a section where you can view recently uninstalled apps. Now that i have the device i can't seem to find it. Could this be one of the things Verizon stripped from the phone?
