Has anyone gotten ANT+ to work? I read that people were using on the 3T. There was an app needed on my Nexus 6 to get it activated but it doesn't support the OP5.
I haven't been able to get it to work either. If you use the ANT+ Tester app, it shows that there's a hardware module installed but gives no method for accessing it. Have you had any luck since?

I found this thread with people claiming that it works but no one has provided an specifics.

I have installed all the required files but it does not work for me.

I figured out how to get it to work, unfortunately it requires a factory reset.
It looks like if you try to use ANT+ without first having the drivers installed it creates a sort of mutex where the app trying to access it "claims" the ANT+ usage and doesn't allow the drivers to be updated.
What worked for me:
- factory reset
- install all ANT+ drivers
- attempt to connect to ANT+ device (successful)
What did not work:
- uninstalling all ANT+ related apps (Endomondo, Stava, etc.)
- uninstalling all ANT+ drivers
- wiping all cache/system caches
- reinstalling ANT+
- reinstalling ANT+ related apps
Thanks. At least that is a solution. Im about to go out of town on vacation and don't have time to go through a full backup and restore process right now but I'll try it when I get back.
I've just began to factory reset my phone to try and get ANT+ working. I'll let you know if it works soon.
**EDIT**
Nope.
I did a "Settings -> Backup & Restore -> Factory Data Reset" without wiping "Internal Storage".
First thing i did was install all the ANT+ apps, Radio Service, Plugin apps, and heart rate app.
Heart Rate Monitor not detected, some sort of "Adaptor not available" error flash box.
I tested my HRM on the partners Xperia Z5 last night and it worked fine.
I'm now doing a wipe including internal storage to see if that makes a difference.
Nope. No difference.
The "ANT Tester" app looks just like this - https://imgur.com/NSCTYPd
The ANT+ Heart Rate Grapher gives the error:
"ANT Adaptor Not Available. Built-in ANT hardware or external adaptor required."
The ANT+ Plugin Sampler gives the error:
"ANT Adaptor Not Available. Built-in ANT hardware or external adaptor required."
The ANT+ Demo app gives the error:
"Unrecognized result: ADAPTOR_NOT_DETECTED"
Well I was about to do a wipe and try it but I guess I won't now.
Update:
The latest software update killed the ant+ support. Wiping no longer fixes the problem for me, either.
Turning the airplane mode on, connecting the ant+ device (heart rate sensor for me) with the app of your choice, then turning off the airplane mode seems to work for me and some others.
OnePlus 5 ANT+
What seemed to work for me is to download ANT+ Radio Service from Google Play, and turn ON the Airplane Mode at the end of the download before it starts installing it.
I still have the odd bug such as won't work if I have the bluetooth ON, or sometimes just won't work at all but do after a restart...
Hopefully OP can resolve that soon.
Whoa! ANT+ is actually working in Oreo?!?! I'm running the first official Oxygen OS release (not Beta) stock rooted.
It picked up my cadence sensor biking into work this morning just like my OPO used to!

I'm traveling and don't have any ANT+ sensors to test. I'll try when I get home. But even on N the ANT+ Tester app showed everything green. It still did not work without the Airplane mode/disabled BT trick. And even then it was flaky.

In on a clean install of 8.0.1 with all the ANT+ stuff installed. Works the same as before. Strava only sees the sensors when in Airplane mode is on. Once connected, if I turn airplane mode back off, then I loose connection to ANT+ sensors. This is pretty much useless for me as I need data while riding.

If I understand it correctly, ant+ is the same 2.4 GHz as wifi and I see there is an ant+ driver on the play store. So will ant+ networking work on the n10 (or any android 4.2 tablet) or is it something the manufacturer need to hardwire into the hardware?
I have several devices including several heart rate monitors and a bike cadence / speed sensor I would like to use with my tablets. I use them on another android device and the frequency is there... So there should be a way to get then n10 to recognize it?
Ant+ driver on play store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dsi.ant.service.socket
Anyone got ideas or a solution.?
Thanks!
The 2.4Ghz band is used by many different wireless products (ANT+, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cordless phones, car alarms etc), but they will not run on your tablet without the correct firmware and drivers to run them. The N10 does not have ANT+ firmware or drivers (there's a list of devices on the Play Store page you link to) on the hardware it includes. So yes, the manufacturer must build a device that has ANT+ built in to it.
However, you can still use ANT+ on your device. As the N10 supports the USB Host feature, you should be able to connect an ANT USB stick with the ANT USB Service (play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dsi.ant.usbservice) and a USB OTG cable.
Hopefully this is a solution which works for everyone until there are more devices available with built in ANT+!

Using the otg+USB on the N10 is an option at the gym on a stationary bike or stair climber. Just have to be REAL careful about the USB port and doing any damage. Using it with my Samsung Tab 2 7.0 and my bike would be a little trickier since I have a weather-proof case that mounts to the handlebars. Getting a USB stick or cable into it would not work. Such a shame since there are so many great sport/fitness programs for Android that do support ant+. A little surprising that Google would note code it into their hardware since they are all about tracking/obtaining data.
Could it be done with a custom ROM or is it even deeper in the hardware?
Going to have to do some real hard research for my next tablet.... Find something that does it all?
Thanks for the insight!
The N10 ANT+ hardware has been enabled with the "ANT+ Enabler": http://forum.xda-developers.com/hardware-hacking/hardware/ref-devices-ant-hardware-t2879990
hey all.
I've been a browser, never a poster.. Big fan of the community. Hope you can help!
So, here's the issues.
-Cannot connect to computer (tried deleting all usb drivers, changing ports, cords, computers. etc.. everything google had to offer)
-When i plug in at night, sometimes the plug-in sound goes crazy, on, off, on off rapidly untill i reboot the phone, then normally mellows out.
-GPS stopped working a while back.
I am running most recent Paranoid Android rom, stock kernel, LTE enabled radio (Probably the gps problem right there).
this all is frustrating. I lost root, at some point..... just trying to get it back. but adb wont recognize the connected device...... grrr!
Google universal naked drivers xda. See if those will work
Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Free mobile app
If the driver soulution didn't help:
I once had the case, that one of the pins of usb connector was torn off, so only the power supply worked (pins were ok) but the data connection didn't (central pins). I got it back working using fine tweezers, a microscope, time and a steady hand to put the pin back in its place. It won't be stable for ever but at least the data connection was working again. Till now it is fine since about 1 year.
Have a look!
Also I'd use usbdeview, to get rid of all unnecessary usb drivers left over on your system...might just be a conflict.
Is your phone even shown under in the windows device manager (as unknown USB device, android adb interface or something alike)? Because if not then the problem might very well be hardware related, like someone mentioned above (USB connector pins)
As for root you can just download the latest SuperSU as a flashable zip and install it from recovery. No need for adb.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using XDA Free mobile app
Awesome! Thanks. Ya, I feared hardware issues. Doesn't come up in device manager, cleared all usb drivers. The wipe and flash fixed the gps issue. I don't have a steady hand or microscope so I think I'll enlist the help of a friend who does. Bent pins probably... Kinda like the best pins in my nexus s sim card tray. Those micro sim adapters work great, except when inserted when empty.... Didn't loose the adapter at least.
Thanks for the help fellas!
I was wondering if the SGS5 can be connected to a windows computer in such a way that it acts as an ANT+ USB stick?
I have a windows app that I need ANT+ for but don't have a stick - figured I'd see if my phone could do it before I bought one.

The S5 is capable of this. Whether anyone has written a script or app to do yet, I don't know. You would have to do a search to discern that.
If you need MSC /UMS (mass storage mode), I believe you will need a custom kernel with MSC support as MSC is an older protocol depreciated if favour of the better designed MTP in Android.

Thanks, that's good to know it's at least possible. I don't think I'll need mass storage mode, just the ability to send / receive commands via ANT from the computer. I have the interface app, just not whatever it would take to make the computer recognize the phone as an ANT USB stick.
I searched XDA and Google, haven't found anything thus far and I lack the ability to do this myself :/

Unless your comment about finding nothing in a search was wry wit or hyperbole.. you might want to try sharpening your search skills.
A cursory Google search appears to find a lot of ant+ posts and apps in the Play store too.

I found lots of ANT+ apps to use the SGS 5 to connect to ANT+ devices and connect TO USB sticks but not to use it AS one - so that my computer sees the phone as an ANT+ USB stick.
Perhaps I'm missing it though, would you mind posting one of the links if you've found one?

It's not at all clear to me what you are doing with ant+ so I didn't try sorting through the search results.
Just pointed out that there were quite a few to look at because your previous post about searching was ambiguous. Taken literally, you said that you didn't have any search hits at all. But your last post implies that you actually meant relevant hits.

Sorry about that. Yea, I did find lots of posts about ANT+ and I've installed a lot of apps both on my PC and phone to see if I could figure something out but thus far it's been a no-go on my computer seeing it as an ANT+ USB.
To be more specific, if anyone cares, I have a Falco e-assist hub on my bike and the config of the hub is corrupt. I have a program that can reset / configure the hub but it requires my PC have an ANT+ USB stick to connect to it.
are there any fixes, not rooted fully updated and paired but sometimes after a restart or when box is switched on, the controller is not recognised and i have to go through repairing which doesnt work either but then miraculously the controller works after going on homescreen (using ir remote logitech)
any advice?
Hi. I want to capture wifi data with my Yotaphone and for this I need to turn the WIFI antenna into monitor mode, but I think this can't be donne with our Yotaphone 2. In alternative, a developer builded up an app for letting do this without the need to root or recompile your kernel with any driver, but it will only works with wifi chipset RTL 8187, but not on every phones.
The app is called ANDROID PCAP, and I want to post the link to the web but XDA don't let me do it for being this my first post xD
I want to ask if anyone had trayed this before I buy this antenna. Someone trayed it?
Thanks
I have Root and Android 5.0 (206 version)
Installed Wi-Fi PCAP Capture, and it says No USB device present (Alpha AWUS036NEH- led turns on, USB OTG not powered cable, I have no idea where my powered cable disappeared, probably Russian hackers).
Installed WiFiKill (Yotaphone internal WiFi) and I disabled my laptop's internet connection successfully just by enabling grab. If I also enabled kill, internet was back on, but wifikill was listing some pages I went on on my laptop (some, sometimes just addresses of the adds).
If I remember correctly, you were supposed to install something else with WiFiKill, nut sure anymore.
I haven't tested zANTI.
EDIT: Tested Alpha AWUS036NEH with powered HUB and it doesn't work.
The Wifi adapter you tried doesn't have the needed chipset. Your AWUS036NEH antenna has de RT3070 and the needed is RTL 8187, so it's impossible to work. ANd also, it's neessary to have a powered USB Host for achieve a working Usb antenna
For example the Alfa AWUS036H has the correct chipset.
About the wifikill app, I only see banners and other messing things.
Keep searching
