Hi, as I know if the cell phone firmware changes, it will probably brick. But recently I bought S5 version from a local guy which having firmware of g900f.
Q. It is possible ? Should I move to g900f threads ?
I m uploading screenshots, if someone understand n tell me I will be very pleased.

I'm currently using CM13 and then installed boeffla kernel. After the install mine changed to 900f. I just installed the freshest nightly and kept the stock kernel. Mine now reads 900v.

I was trying to see whether you had a Samsung or Toshiba eMMC. I believe (I may be wrong) that only Verizon variants had the Toshiba eMMC.

there are 2 possibilities about flashing g900f firmware on your g900v:
1) it will refuse to flash
2) you will hardbrick
as I said earlier, please flash this to check whether your bootloader is locked or unlocked.

The G900F has an unlocked bootloader - the G900V does not. If it does flash, you can root if you want. If it doesn't flash - all your stuff will still be there.
By the way - there is no such thing as too many questions

I meant that should get rid of the G900F files.
If there are any adverse effects, flash PB1 using odin. Do you know how to (if you want to?)

Now I understand the situation.
I would NOT attempt to unlock the bootloader, just use FlashFire, unless you want AOSP. Try flashing a G900F rom on yours. I don't see why it would not work

Ya it will be fine. You will be getting lollipop bootloader which will enable you to flash 64-bit custom Roms and modem too which you can use Voice over LTE. But if you gonna use MIUI you will end up with less storage space this can be overcomed be using custom Roms which allow you to install apps on SD card.
Now it's your wish which one to install.

I rooted the phone but when I was installing Xposed my device got bricked and since then I never tried that ROM again.... U know coz I hate laggy devices haha

2. Which rom you are using now?
Now I am wanting to flash 7.1.1 rom in my hm20 lte-in (2014818).I am now on mini 8 lollipop.
3. If there are any precaution that I have to take before moving to 7.1.1 or I can flash roms directly by wiping Nd flashing?
Sorry for these noob questions.

Yeah.... I recovered it!!!
And right now I am on resurrection remix official nougat version....
But somebody told me about the lineage os so I will check that out today!!!
And if u r going to flash a new ROM I suppose u already have TWRP so make a backup using TWRP in ur SD card.. and then use advanced wipe and then install the ROM and the respective Gapps...
Wipe cache before rebooting ur phone or It will be bricked and also first boot will take time!!!
Enjoy
same problem
i'm having the same problem with my redmi 2 . it is the problem with only 2nd sim slot .. try any gsm sim (not 4g) in 2nd sim ,like tata docomo or aircel . and do not put any sim in sim slot 1 ..see if the phone shows the same problem ,but there is no problem with using sim slot 1 ,then it is the problem with 2nd sim slot only..

Hello, I was trying to flash my Note 3 HLTE (9005) into note 7 rom. it requires aroma installer, witch requires older twrp. as soon as i get TWRP on my device i cant get any files on there trough pc. it automaticly conects as hlte not my device name, and also it cant flash anything. thanks for help. i need the old version cause its the only one that works to flash those cool roms.
thank you all.
This doesn't make any sense. For anything else, xda has a very good search engine. And there's always Google. You are not the first one doing this !

As above post makes no sense at all .
You put the custom ro on your ext sd card then flash from TWRP .
Its possible judged by your post that you have flashed the TWRP that is not for your model .
But impossible to say as no details .

well, i searched on twrp my exact model. and yes i did like you said from my ext sd card. it shows like its corrupted then restarts.
also, i tried cwm too. it gets stuck in extracting.
and my damn internet is slow so may be bad packets some said.
dont be so rude on me also. I of course searched all google and xda over.
thanks.
Possible faulty sd card.or.
Bad download.
Flash back to your stock rom .

So, i wasn't wiping all the data, and now i was. so that fixed me and im now launching euphoria rom! thank you all!
if someone gets like some symlinks failed error
or the aroma installer stuck on 15% or so, wipe your phone, right before installing the rom!
Have a great one guys!:highfive:

Sorry if this topic already has a thread in advance.
So ive rooted my Galaxy s7 Edge and flashed a custom ROM (Blackdiamond NFE V2.0), Its now booted up correctly without any errors but one. My carrier setting wont show up and its telling me too insert a sim card. My sim card is already in and ive tried taking it out and trying another sim card and still does the same. Everything was working before this.
Could it do something with the CSC?
Also in advance im not very technical but have rooted and installed many roms in my lifetime
Any help would seriously be appreciated

I was in your shoes bro. Searched and searched but couldn't find a proper rom to flash but then I got lucky . **** sammobile. The download was super slow even with a fast wifi network and with IDM. Glad to help. I only came here to share the links with people that lost hope.
Btw I've also rooted it and flashed my region carrier CSC file to get voLTE through custom rom. So if carrier doesn't work by default. Flash twrp and use "The Galaxy Project" custom rom to get it working. That rom provides you to install additional features without having to install the rom itself. There's a list of regions in it and choose your region CSC through its installer. Make sure you flash nothing except that.
I got centre clock mod and voLTE through custom rom i mentioned before.
Also removed bloatware completely
