hello i sucessfully installed TWRP but i cant install CWM, i root from odin, disable knox, and install cwm from odin to phone, odin shows pass, not failed, phone reboots and stuck on recovery booting enforcing , cache: set warranty bit: cache/recovery.. so when i saw, i cant do anything, just reflash to stock android. So why i cant install CWM. But i can INSTALLED TWRP. I Do the same operation, disabled knox, and install TWRP, sucessfull working, But CWM NOT.
Cwm hasn't been updated for a while so I recommend sticking with twrp.
Try this: flash the cwm zip file from twrp, use twrp to reboot into recovery.

I am trying to replace CWM with TWRP but not having any luck. I installed GooManager and used the option to install open recovery script, but I still have CWM. So I downloaded the twrp image and used the terminal method
dd if=/mnt/extSdCard/twrp.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p34
This completed successfully, but after reboot then reboot into recovery I still have CWM.
I am currently running latest Cyanogenmod Rom.
Why do you want to replace it, anything that TWRP can do better than CWM? If you still want to switch, you should flash TWRP via Odin.
And/or flashing TWRP zip file through CWM recovery
I like the TWRP interface over CWM. I guess I'll try the odin route.
Well I was able to flash a recovery zip file, but now if I attempt to boot into recovery it just stops at the Google Logo (Google edition phone) and I have to pull the battery, boot into download mode and select restart to get out of it.
Just flash the recovery with Odin. Uncheck auto-reboot in Odin. If it doesn't work the first time, flash it 2 times in a row.
I was having a problem with Odin crashing when I attempted to flash. I finally got it working, apparently I had the wrong img file and dd statement. So now everything is working great.
Making Nandroid Backup first thing.
I have stock ROM Android version 4.4.2 and have rooted my device using CF-autoroot, I flashed the img file of CWM 6.0.3.2 using the app Flashify and was then asked "ROM may flash stock recovery on boot. Fix?" when rebooting to system and answered with "Yes - Disable recovery flash". When the device rebooted I was returned to CWM and everytime I reboot I return to CWM so I flashed TWRP using ODIN, yet when I reboot I return to CWM and can only reach TWRP if I click on Advanced>reboot to recovery.
What should I do?
Flash the whole stock firmware and start from beginning. When you have rooted again, flash cwm or twrp via odin.
^ What he said.
I think you messed up your bootloader. Had a similar issue on an Galaxy S Advance. Flashing a bootloader solved the issue
hello everyone.......i have trouble installing custom recovery on my SM-G900H stock lollipop ..i tried cwm and philz... both of them installed succesfully and exactly took 2.02 minutes ......and when i rebooted to recovery i get a dead android with msg stating invalid command and it shows stock recovery ...........can anyone please help me out with this problem ?
Are you letting Odin reboot into recovery through auto reboot? If so then that's the problem. You need to uncheck auto-reboot and pull the battery after it finishes flashing and boot into recovery manually.
An alternative to the above is to root with CF -Auto root, then use "TWRP Manager" from Google Play to flash TWRP recovery
Or if already rooted, just grab the app

Hi. So, I had TWRP on stock rom and my phone was rooted. was messing around trying to install viper4android and i think i clicked wipe data, etc in recovery mode. Phone rebooted and im un-rooted now with SuperSU installed but it says "there is no binary SU installed and superSU cannot install it. This is a problem! "
What do I do now? I can still boot into recovery.
If I have to flash to a stock firmware, is that easy to do? Thanks in advance

1. Flash Rom You Want To use in your Device .
2.Download Supersu Binary Zip File from Here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1538053
3.Flash it through TWRP recovery
4.Now reboot your cell phone and install SuperSU.
I succesfully installed TWRP when phone had stock ROM.
I booted into it, and i flashed CM11
And after that, i couldn't go into TWRP anymore.
I tried flashing diffrent versions of TWRP, and even CWM but still it doesn't boot into recovery
I tried to reboot advanced options, to reboot into recovery from CM11, but still, it doesn't reboot into it, it just hangs at "rebooting to recovery"
I know key combinations, because i flashed CM11 via TWRP, but suddenly it dissapeared.
I don't want to reflash stock ROM, because of this, in fact, i just want to flash zip file, fde.ai , but recovery is not available, so i can't flash it.
I tried flashify, and rashr, they all don't do their job as adversited.
So my only fix is , to somehow bring back TWRP into which i can't boot
