I can t seem to find the active forum
But anyways I have S7 active att and I managed to flash the end boot.tar phone booted as unlocked but I looked into multiple methods and threads to root it on 7.o
There's a few root.bat scripts for supersu2.79 and one for supersu2.82 that is said to root any variant on nougat .
The scripts aren't working it reboots with super user 2.79 apk installed but no root access and when I open SuperSU it says update binary which I already know you can't And when I root.bat supersu 2.82 script the app says SuperSU is occupied.
Either I'm using wrong file or there's a method I'm doing wrong.
Both scripts are extracted into fastboot folder and I've already successful odin flashed the modified bootloader . Just can't get super user to install right and stick on this att S7 active on nougat

High level steps for me: Boot Phone to Download mode and installed TWRP recovery via ODIN (did not let the phone reboot), manually rebooted to TWRP, formatted the data partition of the phone to remove encryption (read to understand why), rebooted TWRP to Recovery, then used ADB to copy the [BETA][2016.07.05] SuperSU v2.76 zip file to the device internal storage, then from TWRP flashed/installed [BETA][2016.07.05] SuperSU v2.76 zip file, rebooted and device was rooted. Strongly suggest you read a little more here on XDA before you proceed. I gave you the high-level perspective/overview and it's important that you understand the details.

Hi All,
Need some advise on how to correct this.
I have a N9005 that was brought in KSA .
Rooted it using Chainfire CF-Auto-Root-hlte-hltexx-smn9005 using Odin.
Root was successful and was working fine . Installed Magisk Manager successfully .
All of sudden SU binary update popped up which is not working .
Tried to flash SU V2.79 manually from TWRP which is of no help , The issue still exists.
Tried to uninstall SU and unroot it with no luck. Tried to re-root using chainfire autoroot and it worked again but the binary update wont complete.
Please advise what am i missing... Do i need to uninstall Magisk before we flash SU or do we have any other conflicts that im failing to see.
Usual reply to SU.
Remove and reinstall from Play Store .Do not use TWRP to update binary.
Or flash the supersu zip found by searching .

I am trying to root my S5 G900F phone by flashing through odin, but the SuperSU keep says that su binary was not installed. I have tried to use other rooting method like KingRoot and one click root bus was unsuccessful. I have tried to manually installed su binary through flashing in twrp but also fails. I have been seeking the solution in the web but it seems that all of the solution for the su binary not installed problem does not work for me. Is there another way to root the phone? Thanks.
Is the oem unlock in the developer options on?
The method used here is outdated (CF auto root). The current method is to first flash TWRP in ODIN, then immediately flash the SuperSU zip in TWRP.
The alternative way is to use magisk for hiding root.
Hey guys,
For the first time which i got this phone i was able to root it using cf-auto root... after a month i decided to unroot my device and clear some space cuz everything works bad. i did full unroot using super su app then full reset my phone. after that i tried to re-root my phone using the same cf-auto root it gives me dm verifcation failed i taught that its because my phone security then i did flashed my phone by its correct firmware download from sammobile, after that i got my phone back with official status but right now i can't root my phone. till this moment i did googled my issue but didn't found any solution.

anyone help ?
S7 edge I do root via the SuperSU flashable zip file via a custom recovery. Other methods don't seem to work well with S7 on nougat because the user data partition needs to be reformatted in custom recovery (TWRP usually) in advance when you want to root the phone.
You'll need to backup the phone before hand and set it up from its initial state after rooting it.

can u please help me on how to root via superSU flashable zip ? and will I lose all my data by this method ?
thanks,
Do not use SuperSu to root S7 as its not compatible and only meant to be used on older phones. It will not work on Android 8.
I Have SM-G5520 Nougat, I rooted it successfully here

But, as mentioned there, I run Flashfire, Grant root access, Browse for GApps.zip and flash it, but after click on flash screen goes black and didn't show any proccess of flashing GApps.
After waiting 2 - 4 Hours, There was still a black screen like my phone is off and I restart my phone. Now there is not a single GApp installed there. Please help me to flash GApps.
I continue my research on rooting and flashing and i got some points that are below,
1. Magisk is system-less root that's why when ever i tried any app to modify system folder or root directory my phone got restart.
2. I tried SuperSU system-less but the device isn't going to root.
3. I tried King Root, Kingoapp, OneClickRoot, Dr. Phone root, iRoot and much more with and without PC but my device was not going to root but only Magisk root my device.
4. I tried CFAuto Root with all modifications but due to my phone didn't have "OEM Unlock" option, flashing CF Root cause failure.
5. I tried to push GApps into Original Firmware, but that way takes a lot time and i failed there because of security reasons (And that was my first attempt to modify "Firmware" I must failed ).
All the conclusion of my work let me know that i have to root my SM-G5520 Nougat as system root that will going to work 100% to flash GApps.
Now Please help me to root system wise and flashing GApps.
Thanks Advance
