Hi I got a new 935FD S7 Edge and I cant root it.
I tried Autorook, King Root, Kingo Root and all failed.
My compilations is MMB29K.G935FXXS1APG3.
Does anyone knows how can I root it?
Thank you very much

High level steps for me: Boot Phone to Download mode and installed TWRP recovery via ODIN (did not let the phone reboot), manually rebooted to TWRP, formatted the data partition of the phone to remove encryption (read to understand why), rebooted TWRP to Recovery, then used ADB to copy the [BETA][2016.07.05] SuperSU v2.76 zip file to the device internal storage, then from TWRP flashed/installed [BETA][2016.07.05] SuperSU v2.76 zip file, rebooted and device was rooted. Strongly suggest you read a little more here on XDA before you proceed. I gave you the high-level perspective/overview and it's important that you understand the details.

Hello, I'm having a problem when rooting my device. I've successfully flashed the CF-Auto-Root file and it says "PASS" in Odin but the phone boots into recovery and won't boot to the OS and the recovery is showing this message: "Recovery is not Seandroid enforcing".
I've used this file to root: http://download.chainfire.eu/727/CF-Root/CF-Auto-Root/CF-Auto-Root-klte-kltedx-smg900f.zip How can I fix this? I've flashed BOB7 stock and the phones back to normal but I need to root in order to install a custom recovery (Philz)
Thanks.

You can try this if you want it works when using TWRP recovery but not sure about Philz
Make sure you don't have super user app installed on your phone
Download the attached zip and put it in a folder on your phones internal storage
Install Philz custom recovery via Odin
When the phone reboots go to the market and install Chainfires SuperSU, this one here
Once installed reboot phone into recovery and install the zip file you downloaded above
Reboot the phone and go to the SuperSU app and tap it, give it a moment and it should ask for you to grant root access
If it has worked as it does with TWRP you will be rooted, let me know if it works or not.

I don't really want to risk anything , I've also noticed that there are 2 CF-Auto-Root files , one that says kltedx and other that says kltexx. Should I give the other one (kltexx) a try? Also , my friend told me that I need to root first and then install a custom recovery (Philz).

I never mentioned CF Auto Root the process mentioned above doesn't use it. it is just TWRP Recovery 2.4 or higher you install via Odin
Then SuperSu form the marked
Then boot into recovery and install the zip file which updates SuperSU binary to give root access
That's it, no CF Aoto Root

Are you sure that your method is going to work on my G900F? I'm on Lollipop OB7 if that makes any difference.

Same as mine , so you've used exact same method on the same firmware version (BOB7) ?
Nevermind , It appears that there's another G900F , one's kltexx and kltedx and kltexx worked for me and the other didn't. Thanks for helping tho
Hello. I have GALAXY S5 - SM-G900F Lollipop. I wanted to root it and i used Kingo. It said that root was successful i even had superSU app, but i couldn't open it and when i installed app that i know needs root access i didn't get prompted to allow it. So after some checking i concluded that root was not successful and wanted to revert it with kingo again. It said that S5 was not rooted and i couldn't root it again (was getting failed this time).
Then i wanted to do factory reset to 4.4.2 via mobile but each time i would select that option phone would just freeze. I booted into recovery TWRP that i installed previously and did hard wipe. After that i was without ROM, and installed lollipop using this tutorial (/watch?v=r_ifFnj9tbo). Everything was fine but i lost TWRP and was with stock recovery.
I wanted to root phone again using different method (/watch?v=iBNGeppOzGI) but when i installed TWRP via odin (i got success and phone rebooted as last time i installed it) and tried to boot into TWRP using button combinations phone would just load standard recovery instead. I also tried to install CWM, same results. Success message, phone reboots and it still loads stock recovery so i'm stuck now. Anyone has any idea how to install TWRP now?
Anyone got any idea, don't know what to do here. Any help appreciated.
Could you paragraph your post please, it hurts my brain trying to read it like that

Just for you any ideas to why i can't get into twrp or cwm?
Anyone?
I've recently rooted my device but have found out that I used a systemless SuperSU , I need a classic system-mode superSU to be able to access and change system files. Is this possible yet with the sm-g935f yet? I've found 1 but it just put my phone into a bootloot
The file I used was called SR1-SuperSU-v2.78-SR1-20160915123031...
AFAIK every root method available for S7 is systemless and you can access system files with these root systemless or not.
Systemless root doesn't mean you can't access system files, it's mean that root files doesn't install in system partition but somewhere else.
And what's the point of root if you can't access system files. (LOL!)

Maybe I came across wrong.. my device is in enforcing mode and I tried using selinux mode changer which wouldn't work I posted something the other day on here and was told the reason was down to being rooted via systemless root but I would need to ask people with the same device as me. All this falls back on an issue with xmod games..
Edit: I'm using a systemless SuperSU.... And apparently I need a different 1.

Hi! One way is to use custom recovery to root your Galaxy J5. To root with custom recovery you will need a computer running Windows OS (didn't work with Linux distros using Wine) and download Odin from samsungodin.com. Then you will need a TWRP-recovery, the link is here:
https://eu.dl.twrp.me/j53gxx/twrp-3.1.1-1-j53gxx.img.tar.html
In Odin, click on the AP button and select your downloaded recovery file, boot your phone to download mode (Pwr+VolumeDown+Home), connect your phone with computer and start the installation process. It will usually take less than five seconds.
Once you installed the recovery, you will be able to easily root your phone. I recommend SuperSU as your SuperUser app. The link to official SuperSU is below:
https://s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/supersu/download/zip/SuperSU-v2.82-201705271822.zip
Boot into recovery (Pwr+VolumeUp+Home) and install SuperSU and that's it, your phone should now be rooted. If you consider any problems, feel free to ask for more help!
Regards,
Patrik.

anyone help ?
S7 edge I do root via the SuperSU flashable zip file via a custom recovery. Other methods don't seem to work well with S7 on nougat because the user data partition needs to be reformatted in custom recovery (TWRP usually) in advance when you want to root the phone.
You'll need to backup the phone before hand and set it up from its initial state after rooting it.

can u please help me on how to root via superSU flashable zip ? and will I lose all my data by this method ?
thanks,
Do not use SuperSu to root S7 as its not compatible and only meant to be used on older phones. It will not work on Android 8.
