Anyone else having an issue linking their phone to the whatsapp web client? I just did this for Signal and had no issues but the whatsapp app just keeps scanning the QR code.

In the same instant whatsapp web tries to load and then ask for the st code again

Sorry to resuscitate such an old thread but has anyone else had problems with this? It keeps scanning but won't pick up the code (QR Droid doesn't work either). Keeping in mind though I'm using a custom rom that has AOSP camera as the default, which is a different situation from the OP's
EDIT: Solved my issue. Found a LOS port of the camera apk, made it a system app using Titanium Backup, and QR scanning + WA Web scanning work again.
However now magisk is having issues installing modules. Maybe because the system image has been patched or something. I think I'd better try out the RR mod that has the inbuilt camera

I know the app itself is a bit useless but I have come across an issue.
When I run the app on a Rom such as Cataclysm or Purity the app works no issues.
If I run it on a CM based rom I will get a NEws Feed error and the only way to get it to refresh is either logout or sometimes go looking at my photos.
Anybody else got this issue?
Started using Klyph but I dont like having issues without trying to sort it. Have tried the beta, non beta, full wipe, dirty flash, with the same result,

If anyone is interested have tracked this down to Xposed framework on my phone. When I run stock no issues with app. Install Xpsed and I get News Feed error.
Hi guys I just flashed AICP (5.1.1) and it's great except for one thing. Whenever I try to browse the web or use the play store on mobile I get this error message:
net::ERR_CONNECTION_RESET
The weird thing is that it's not a connection issue because I can still browse reddit and check my transit app and stuff like that. I also noticed that I can load certain web pages from reddit in flynx's reader mode but the full website will not load. Has anyone had a similar experience or know what can cause this?
Don't know if anybody else is having this issue but ever since updating to 6.0.1, whenever I post something to Instagram or SnapChat the pic/video does not save to my 6P. I have uninstalled/reinstalled the apps. I have given the apps all the permissions. I have also disabled all apps from being able to perform a screen overlay over other apps which was a message I would get when trying to give the apps permissions to storage.
I still have the original Instagram and SnapChat folders on my 6P with photos in them before the 6.0.1 update but nothing is being saved to them ever since Don't know if there's anything else I can do or have to wait til Instagram or SnapChat release an update to fix the issue. Seems to be a few other people complaining about it from reading recent reviews of the apps.
Thought I'd check here if anyone had any solutions. Thanks

Yeah it's probably something Snapchat needs to fix. It's one of the drawbacks to being on the cutting edge. I don't know what you have tried already but you may try and booting to recovery and clearing cache. I would assume if your camera saves photos to the gallery then all is normal, besides your Snapchat.

Thanks for the quick response. I'll try that and see what happens. Yeah, no problems with pics/videos from the camera from being saved. And I actually am using an App called Instagram Photo Saver which allows me to save Instagram photos to my device which Google Photos is saving but the photos saved by the app are at a much lower resolution. But yes, SnapChat when I toogle enable storage access to SnapChat it does say "This app was designed for an older version of Android. Denying permission may cause it to no longer function as intended." Unfortunately, it's not working as intended either way.

Do you know if there is an issue using Snapchat filters on the 6P? I am getting a message that the device isn't supported.
Hello all. I'm not much of a developer myself but I know a decent amount about Android apps. I've been having trouble with Snapchat recently on my 6P. Lots of times, especially when on the actual camera page of Snapchat, the app is very unresponsive, it crashes, and it won't function or take pictures. I recently realized that this usually happens when Facebook Messenger is open and I try to use Snapchat at the same time. I suspect this is because Facebook Messenger keeps the camera open at all times and so does Snapchat (I believe that is well-known). I can't post the screenshot but the bottom menu bar of Messenger has a camera icon which instantly brings up an inline camera window for quickly taking and sending pictures. I can't confirm this because I'm not sure how to detect if an app has a lock on the camera but this is my theory. Has anyone else experienced this or possibly looked into it? Thanks guys.

But im not really understand your problem, or is it necessary for you that both apps are running at the same time?
By the way, are you running stock or a rom? Rooted?

The problem is I often use both apps at the same time so this suspected camera lock problem slows my phone to a crawl and causes Snapchat to be unusable when I have FB Messenger running.

Everytime I try to open the camera from Whatsapp it freezes and I have to tap back and open it again in order to work.
When I open the camera from the camera app itself or any other third party app like Telegram it works flawlessly, the problem is just with Whatsapp.
I'm on updated stock global.
Anyone experiencing this problem? Any solution?

Update to the last miui rom, it will fix and if still crash reset to factory
I have the exact same problem. Doesn't happen every time but it does happen often enough. Re-installing the rom didn't fix it, or the other many bugs that Android 10 brought with it.
