Hi guys I just flashed AICP (5.1.1) and it's great except for one thing. Whenever I try to browse the web or use the play store on mobile I get this error message:
net::ERR_CONNECTION_RESET
The weird thing is that it's not a connection issue because I can still browse reddit and check my transit app and stuff like that. I also noticed that I can load certain web pages from reddit in flynx's reader mode but the full website will not load. Has anyone had a similar experience or know what can cause this?

Yes this happens, hopefully they will fix it.
There are two options to remedy the situation for now.
1st, go into your browser settings and uncheck plug-ins.
Personally this didn't work for me
2nd option which works flawlessly. The second option is to visit desktop versions of websites. For example, if I visit mobile version of google, it just randomly exits. So what I did is set my homepage to the full desktop version. Since google is my homepage, i went into settings, and typed out the full path for google desktop view into my start page settings.
Again, if your browser randomly closes, try visiting full page views.
I've also noticed this is linked to the GPS issue. Some sites try to get your location. If the site starts trying to find your location, and your gps is bust, the browser just exits.
you could try a 3rd party browser like dolphin or skyfire.

It has been confirmed that on the Mobile version of Google, the "nearest location" check activates the GPS which crashes the browser.
Turn off the GPS. Open a webpage to Google search and finger "Classic" which is half way down the page. This will switch you to the original Google site so that its not trying to get your location when you open a browser window. If a site is trying to use your location it will happen, but in my experience it has only been on mobile sites using location tracking.
There is a setting to turn off - allow websites to request access to your location. Would that help?
This isn't necessarily a location settings issue. It could be a flash issue. When visiting some pages with flash content, the browser will suddenly close and return you to the homescreen. If this is the case, it will happen every time you visit a particular page, and it will also happen with skyfire and Dolphin HD (at least on the 2 phones I have tried them on). Only option to fix this problem is to disable plug-ins in the browser settings.
Good Luck.
ok, I searched the forum and couldnt find a similar thread. I am on the latest FW, not rooted. My problem, which at first I thought was the wifi connect/disconnect issue but is not, is that many/most times when I am browsing say this forum and I click on the next page the page will not load. The blue loading bar starts than stops before the page will load. Refresh wont load and back doesnt load. I actually have to kill the browser to get it working again as just exiting it doenst fix it. I have tried skyfire and opera and it doesnt appear to affect those but I prefer the stock browser. Anyone else having this issue?
My guess is there is some issue processing the javascript.
But, for XDA-Developer forums you are better off using the XDA-Developer app. No ads and much faster.
Hello! I really need help with this weird issue I'm having. Tried searching, but have no idea what to look for
I have a D801 running Cyanogenmod 11 3-09-14 Nightly. These issues also happened with my previous Paranoid Android rom (which is why I flashed CM after). Just got this phone a few days ago, installed TWRP 2.7, and flashed PA the second I got home.
Issue: Certain functions (mainly downloading data) in certain apps stop working after a while. Rebooting fixes these temporarily.
Examples:
- I can't load new webpages, BUT I can use Google search, but the page links will not load (Chrome Beta) I get "Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to _______"
- I can click on any app in the Play Store and all the information (pictures, desc.) will load, but if I download it, I get "Downloading..." forever.
- I can use Google Maps with no issues what-so-ever.
- Streaming music gives me "Media Error unknown - 1004" (Probably an error which is part of MyCloudPlayer)
- Instagram gives a "Couldn't load feed" message.
- Facebook works fine. Unless I click a link which opens in Chrome.
All these issues still occur if I'm connected to wifi. My G2 says I'm connected to both Wifi and cellular at home (which I am).
As stated above, rebooting the phone fixes these issues temporarily.
Would really appreciate some insight. This is really annoying
Cheers!

Hey, I changed my Access Point under Settings>Wireless & networks> Mobile Networks> Access Point Names
I changed it from T-Mobile US LTE to T-Mobile US LTE IPv6
So, far it's worked.
Nope not working.....
For some reason, this problem doesn't seem to be addressed in this forum much so I'm posting again.
Using Chrome/Chrome Beta on Note 4, whenever I try to watch a video on HTML5, the video starts playing normally but when I try to drag & seek, it will pause for a second and say "Sorry, video Cannot be played" Does anyone have a solution for this? It is driving me nuts and I can't find a solution. Please [email protected]#$!#
Problem occurs during 4G/LTE usage. No problem when using wifi. (This doesn't make sense to me)
*just confirmed that my brother, who uses the same phone, has the same issue as well.
Alright people, I finally got it solved. So if anyone else has this problem, try this method.
SOLUTION:
1. Go to Settings>Application Manager>Chrome>Uninstall Updates
-----This process uninstalls all updates applied to any factory installed apps (Evernote, Chrome, etc.)
2. Go to Play Store>My Apps>Update All
3. Open Chrome
-----Settings>Content Settings>Website Settings
-----Erase all settings.
Try now and it should work without any problems. Hope this helps everyone else too!
Is anyone else having issues with HBO Go?
I have installed the app. I can log in via Cox with no trouble. Everything looks to be fine until I try to play something. Then it will show the HBO Go screen and the ratings. After that though all I get is the spinning wheel for like 3 minutes and then it goes back to the episode page. This happens when connected via Wi-Fi and Ethernet. I am not having any problems with HBO Go on any of my other devices (4 PCs and a Momo 7 tablet).
HBO GO FIX for MOJO
I was having the same trouble you described. I originally downloaded the hbo go app off the google play store which is version 3.0.1. got that same error. I and uninstalled found a different version 2.4.03 at mojo.madkatz.com using Chrome Browser and it fixed the problem. the site starts with a new owner tutorial slideshow before sending you to the full site. I know this post is from 6 months ago, but I could find no other information on any forum about how to fix it, so I hope this helps someone. That website also has other suggested and compatible versions of apps listed.
