I have a T-Mo Note 4 and after updating to Jellybean about month and half ago, my phone randomly started rebooting and sometimes being stuck in the reboot loop. If I take the battery out and put it back in, it would get out of the loop sometimes. I noticed it happens when phone is looking for GPS signal or if an app freezes. I've tried wiping cache partition previously as well as doing factory reset and phone would still keep restarting at random times. I got the phone replaced by T-Mobile under the warranty and few weeks later, same thing happened.
Is there a fix for this? Phone is stock and not rooted.
Hello, I've been using TEKXodus N4 Rom for my Canadian (Global Live Wind) on my Note 4 running 5.1.1 for about 4 months now. I have not experienced any problem with the rom until 3 days ago. My phone would just freeze for a good 10-20 seconds randomly when I open apps, surf the web, etc. It started when I was using snapchat and I though I had too much friends (around 80) on my snapchat that it would freeze when I load my friends stories but it seems it's not just the app. I tried clearing cache but it did not fix anything. It was so bad that I couldn't bear to use my phone. I finally decided to flash to stock 4.4.4 kitkat and 5.0.1 but it seems the lag is still there. I've even had instances where my phone would just restart on it's own and when I turn my phone off it would turn on by itself. I've cleared cache, davlik cache and everything there is to clear and it still freezes. I've even ran into a point I cleared everything including my own OS and was stuck for a day in finding a way to boot up my phone lol. I also forgot to say during that time the only thing I did not clear is the files on my sd card so I wiped my sd card as well and it still didn't do lick. I've led to believe that I may have a virus or that my phone hardware is fried. If there is anyone who could help me I'd be grateful...
I also had a problem after I installed a stock 5.0.1 where I couldn't update my phone because it said I don't have enough storage space and I know for a fact I have 24gb free space..
Classic "my phone keeps freezing and rebooting". I am quite in the know about flashing roms and such.
It started on the stock firmware 6.1.1 (i think it was). I dd factory resets, cache wipes the lot. It would still randomly reboot.
So i flashed Telstra version of 7.0. Still froze every now and then. Did the same things as above.
Flashed TWRP and wiped everything, flashed Renovate Rom and the bootloader for it, Still did it. Numerus factory resets and wipes of everything. It would freeze at any point from startup, to having setup the phone and making phone calls or on facebook or whatever. It would even freeze in twrp, or loading twrp.
I found that the data partition was corrupt so i re partitioned to ext4. Still nothing. I reformatted every partition so the phone was a complete brick with nothing on it and after flashing clean again it would still do it.
Whats the issue that I'm missing, or is there a way to log so i can find where it keeps getting stuck? It gets hot and blue light flashes and i have to hard reset it or sometimes i have to let the battery drain so i can turn it back on again.
pls help?
Hmm i will give you an advice so you dont have to wait for your battery to drain...just press volume down and power button for like 5 secs and phone will force boot. Anyway back to your problem...did you tried flashing latest stock samsung firmware?

This advice doesn't work with my phone even with holding the buttons for 30 secs and more. For rebooting I can only wait until the battery is completely drained. With little hope for another way shortening time to the next reboot any help is appreciated.
Same here...experiencing the same prob...
Same problem.

Sounds like you need your motherboard replaced i had the same issues on marshmallow thought the nougat update would fix it but realized it was a hardware fault not software..left it in store to get fixed and on repair sheet it said faulty motherboard..

Hey team! I replaced my screen from a local vendor:crying:. my phone keeps on Restarting itself. After many Reboots it finally booted up. but whenever i pop in my sim card and turn on mobile data it keeps on rebooting. and whenever i go into security settings for setting fp this issue occurs again n again. even fp is not working
*Tried factory Reset
*wiped cache
*Tried custom Roms
The time i gave him phone was rooted. so i thought might be Root issue. so i flashed stock rom with build no. NPJ25.9-14. and Relocked the boot-loader. But the problem was not solved so i tried flashing customs Roms. but the problem wont solved!!
After many Reboots it works perfect till the time i switch on my mobile data and setup my fp.
Idk what is the problem but it is not a software issue. because i even tried flashing marshmallow. but same results
Help!!!!
Seems like your device is done. There might be some motherboard issue I guess. Visit authorised service center only.

r.i.p phone.
imo you should've repaired it yourself. Replacement LCDs are only $40, and repairing the phone isn't hard at all.
Sounds like your repair vendor ****ed up your motherboard.
Hi, I've been using this phone for last 2 weeks and ive experience this SystemUi constantly restart by itself. No error or crash popup, just the mobile data goes to error sign -> no sim card -> mobile data. Sometimes rebooting the device does help but most of time it does not.
Ive excounter this problem either unroot or root.
Have anyone experience this issue too?
OnePlus 6t, 8gb, Matte Black, International Ver
Stock OOS, Stock Kernel
Yeah I've noticed something like that. It's frozen up for a few seconds. Screen touches become unresponsive. Last time it happened I was just going back pages on Amazon app and it froze. Unrooted T-Mobile latest update. Maybe that's why they have a on/off schedule in settings.

I had the same issue. I tried to recover by restarting. Now i am stuck in boot loop and constantly rebooting. Please help here.
This isuue happened to me since upgraded to OB1. My phone was rebooting randomly after booted for just a few minutes. I have tried get rid of all Magisk modules, dirty flash rom, reflash twrp and magisk. Etc ... After that I can't access the phone anymore. The phone just kept on shutting down after logged in. So i tried to get it recoverd by twrp but sadly, twrp didnt show the login screen so the data was encrypted including my backup recoveries.
I ended up fixing by rebranding with stock ota fastboot.
I think you should first backing up your data to external storage if you still have access to twrp. And just do whatever needs after that.
Don't be dumb like me and Good luck.
