Hi ,
will a screen/digi from a samsung galaxy s5 work on a s5 lte-a g901f? I have purchased about 3 screens for the s5 and all it keeps doing is showing the samsung logo, battery vibrates twice then reboots in this loop.
Anyone know the answer on what screen i would need?
Are those screens legit? Are those AMOLED displays? If not, then there's your problem.
i just ordered a screen off ebay -s5 screen replacement.

Dude, are they even compatible with the G901F? Does it say in the title or description? Or better said, is it a real AMOLED display?
so i have found out now, no they are not compatable. tried looking for a 901f screen with no luck or the ones i have found are way more than the phones worth.

To simplify my question , some brands like (htc ) release same device with different screens (htc sensation is released with both sharp and acer screens ) , now my question is how i can confirm that the screen on my tab is samsung made PLS screen , not a cheap version for middle east region with normal screen.
Thanks and regards,
this is the article that made me think that way http://www.slashgear.com/samsung-gal...tage-10158766/
it says that some galaxy tab 10.1 will have different screens due to shortage and thicker bodey , any one can help me recognize what screen i have on my tab

Read the comments on that article...it seems as though the problem existed with the 8.9, NOT the 10.1.

The article's from June and the source is a Mac website who I'm guessing isn't really in the loop about what's happening at Samsung. For whatever reason, what they predicted never happened. Samsung manufactures all their own display panels unlike other OEM's. If there was a spec change, it would propbably be done regionally with whatever's changed clearly noted to the public. There's nothing to indicate that all the 10.1 display's aren't the same.

Super PLS is just a type of IPS screen. You should be able to tell by looking at it that it's an IPS screen, as lesser alternatives really screw up the colors/contrast as you look at sharper angles. If any of these had something other than an IPS screen, I'm sure there would be plenty of stories/posts about it.
So the real question is: do you have a "generic" IPS screen, or a Super PLS. Considering that Super PLS is less expensive to produce than traditional IPS, are you concerned that you may have a cheap PLS screen, or are you concerned that they spent extra money to send you a generic IPS screen?

Yes all has. But it really doesn't bother me at all, and i don't even notice it, unless i pay attention too much.
A bit of smearing is ok, we have pure blacks on s4's display

The problem is that S5 doesn't have an LCD screen.... The screen is Super AMOLED
It's better to find a Samsung Service in Melbourne...

Retailers always list the OEM amoled display replacement parts as "LCD"
I have no idea if they are a trusty source, but most of the parts suppliers list as LCD, it's very likely the OEM amoled part. There'd be no way for someone to make an LCD replacement part, the superamoled display driver is embedded on the motherboard of the S5 and will not drive an LCD.

So my S5 display after being replaced 2 times in 6 months started flickering. My phone is very hard to be turned on because of the green flickering.
I just want to upgrade to a S6,S7 Edge or non edge. i just want to know if they have the save problem with displays ? I want to have a phone at least 2 years, can you recommand me a phone like that ?
I was just considering switching to a iPhone even though i prefer android on phones ... how are S6,S7s displays ? Samsung still have the same problems?
I have had a phone for a year now and no problems at all. I also know many people with different Samsung phones with Super AMOLED and never saw any of them have a problem.
me to have no single problem with the display
Better question is - where was it replaced and are you 100% sure you got a genuine screen? You may have been sold a non samsung screen. I've seen lot's of that happen to iPhones with cheap fake screens. As for an upgrade - I had my S6 G920F for over a year now and had no problems at all.

i dont think its possible lcd like apple is easier to produce than a amoled so their is less fake products maybe only the glass is fake not the amoled
