Hi, I'm developing an application for Windows Mobile. I got stuck in the problem that I tried to get all the CellIds and Signal Strength of all the nearby Base Stations of my PPC. I tried the RIL but just could get strongest signal strength of 1 base station (I believe). So my question is that : is there a way or method so that enables me to scan all the nearby base stations with their signal strength? I would appreciate much if someone can help.
Thank you.
Is Android any better than windows as far as signal reception? coz mine is really bad only get a low G signal most of the time. I have standard settings as shown and with virgin ,live in west sussex
Since the actual gsm phone hardware (radio) is seperate from the hd2 hardware and it is controlled by the radio rom, Android won't probably have any difference. Only signal bar "reporting" or 3g - 2g switch threshold "may" change and that is software.
Note: radio does not mean fm radio.
I get better call quality and reception in windows...
I have a Verizon 3G indoor signal booster made by Samsung. My GNex would connect to it just fine but my G2 doesn't see it at all. Anyone in the same boat?
My bad. It actually works just fine. LG has a separate icon for the signal booster unlike my GNex with the base rom, where it would replace the regular 3g signal meter with the signal booster meter. On the G2, it's an additional icon on the top. This G2 it's so awesome. So this phone tells me the wireless strength, the normal 3g/4g signal strength, and it tells me the signal booster strength.
Is there a way to switch the display signal strength meter from showing 4G LTE to regular voice signal?

This is the link on how to switch the signal meter to show voice strength instead of 4g data strength. This worked great on my old EVO 4g LTE....but the Note 4 doesn't seem to have the same file structure and therefore I am unable to get this to work...any Devs out there what to look into this....That would be AWESOME!!!!

tried to edit build.prop and patch it but signal when i am on custom fw is at maximum but when i put any stock fw signal goes to the minimum stenth.my question is what should i do to get full signal even if i am on a stock rom...
- the signal i am talking about is gsm frequencies in europe
any help would be appreciated as i need to keep stock fw with a good signal quality
Is the signal strength (dBm) different for each? I'll have full bars on cyanogenmod and only two using stock. But in the status settings my strength in dBm will be the same.
