I recently tried connect an thumb drive via OTG cable on my H870DS, and each time a popup prompted me to selected the connection mode (see screenshot attached). Is anyone having similar?
I'm wondering what each option means, and how to change it if I made one a default. Thanks

1st option is to charge your phone, 2nd is to charge something connected to phone, 3rd and 4th are for file transfers, don't know what 5th is, as u stated u connected with u need to select file transfer and click just once on the bottom or click always depending on what ur needs are, u can always change it in developer options, hope this helps.
I have the same problem with my h870ds. That menu pops up but no OTG devices are ever recognised whatever option you choose. No good answer found for this.
Same issue, used to work fine. Now I cant get it to work at all.

Static electricity.. have read about it in some guides and articles..
The best would be to use a magnet attached to your USB cable. That should prevent shutting down... Digital camera's usually have included this kind of cables.. It's even required to meat some ISO guide-line

Use a USB cable with that bulky thing attached to it. Some network cables have them too... maybe you can take it off easy..
DO NOT USE A regular magnet!! it's too powerful and might damage more than you think!
thnks, ill try it and get back to you....
you learn something new everyday.
Hey guys, been having this problem for a while but finally had enough of it!
For a start, in the wifi list in settings it doesn't show me which network I am actually connected to.

}
In addition if i tap another wifi network which despite already previously been connected to it , it will still ask me for the password again, after which it keeps saying failed to connect, it wont let me connect to it
I have been getting around the problem by using WPS on my wifi router and "WPS Push Button" in the settings menu when I'm home to get it to connect to my home wifi as opposed to "BT OpenZone" every time, which is quite frustrating!
I'm rooted on stock rom , Build Number KOT49I.D80220h however this problem has been ongoing atleast since before the last 2 updates.
Any ideas/troubleshooting I can do??
Cheers amishra123
Tried resetting to factory defaults?
I haven't no. What's the best/easiest way to go about backing up before and restoring afterwards ?
LGBackup on the phone should suffice. Just make sure to copy the LGBackup folder to a safe location (like a PC/laptop).
I have read on various Android blogs and facebook pages , People complaining that they can't see/access some of the files/folders of their Android Internal or SD storage when connected to PC via USB cable on MTP Mode. Most of the people using HTC Desire 820/820q/820u etc are facing this problem and many have asked for help on XDA and have been asked to install some sort of file manager or something else, yet they complained it didn't work for them.
What you need to do is Go to Settings > Apps > All apps > Search for Media Storage and External Storage > Clear data for both of them.
(You won't lose your personal data by the way)
Boom Now connect you device to PC and you can see all the folders.
Don't forget to hit Thanks button if this helped.:good:

Hi, sorry for my bad english.
I have a Samsung e500, it's my old device. It broke the screen and I have lots of memories in it, I want to take them out. But when I tried plugging the device into the device without the monitor, it didn't respond. if it needs a monitor to boot because I plan to buy a new monitor myself, otherwise I'll take it to a service center

Short answer: NO
FYI: To get access to its internal storage in Android's "Developer options" option USB Debugging must got turned on.
Recently purchased both Tread+ and Peloton bike, and I was able to install APKs via adb on the bike. However, the bike will only run one app at a time. So I can watch netflix, but can't run the overlay of the peloton app. I even was able to install the custom navigation, but no luck on the split screen.
The bigger issue is not being able to sideload apks onto the tread+. The tread+ doesn't have a micro usb, but rather usb to usb. I have usb data cable but nothing happens when I try to connect my pc. Developer mode is enabled. I attempted to connect via wifi using adb commands as well. I am not very skilled at any of this, but I am willing to try. Ideas would be appreciated. I need to watch netflix when I run
Thanks!
I think the microusb port of the Tread+ may be on the back, where the display connects to the treadmill.

Confirmed - you can just pop the plastic top off the screen connector, and then pull the back off. There is a micro usb port back there.
