So where is the 1 or the 0 stored on the phone which tells the phone that reactivation lock is on?
I have flashed several different firmwares on my ergaflabablahlbaalojdfg GALAXY S5 that I got ripped off into buying.
So i had no idea about this reactivation lock stuff at the time about 5-6 months ago, I went to buy a galaxy s5 off someone on offerup. They showed me it was all booted and running I was like cool heres $200! LMAO I took the phone down to cricket to get it turned on they told me it was carrier locked. So long story short I ended up with "this device is locked due to unusual factory reset..." blah blah blah "you have to log in to samsung account... blah blah"
Well I have tried every trick in the book to get rid of reactivation lock. I have no problem getting the phone to usable, cant get root this version whatever they did, it is LOCKED DOWN! I can flash to get root but the firmware is unusable, but I am thinking that if I flash into the unusable firmware and run adb commands to change the 0 to a 1 whereever they store the info for the reactivation lock for example if knox was tripped and you wanted to reset the counter, where is the info stored?
here is an example of a similar adb code of what I am thinking:
PHP:
adb shell content insert --uri content://settings/secure --bind name:s:user_setup_complete --bind value:s:1
except it needs to be resetting reactivation lock the samsung one not google one!
Sorry I am a php programmer no adb or java so I hope someone can let me know if this is possible to reset reactivation lock via adb

Hello, I have a Galaxy S5 G900F, updated to Marshmallow 6.0.1, being using it for a year now and it seems that I had the reactivation lock on for so long, but the samsung account associated with it was deleted by me a couple months ago.
A few days ago, a friend just as a stupid prank went into recovery mode and wiped my phone, and now i can't get it to work because of the reactivation lock. I cant sign in with my account because it no longer exists and I tried taking it in for service as it is still in warranty and the Knox is 0x0 and everything but they said that it says specifically on the device that before taking the device in for service you have to disable the reactivation lock. So they said that the only way i can get it to work is pay $200 for them to replace my motherboard. And i am not going to do that.
Can you please tell me if I can do something to force bypass or install another ROM or ANYTHING at all in order to get past the lock? I would greatly appreciate it. I don't care if i flag the Knox system, i just want my phone to work. I only have a medium level knowledge of installing custom ROMS, rooting and using ODIN i've been doing it on my old samsung S3 for a long time. Can you please please give me a tutorial or something i can do doesn't matter if it takes long or if it's complicated or risky as I have nothing to lose. Thank you so much!
Flash a stock KITKAT ROM
Boot into recovery, factory reset, see if you can get back in
Or Create that Samsung account with the same email address again, if it's been deleted, it should let you create it again, log back in with that
Hi all, first post. (long time lurker)
I've got a Samsung galaxy note 3 (SM-n900 - "ha3g")
I'm attempting to root the phone. (usually takes a minute or two) but I'm struggling here.
The problem I'm facing is the samsung re-activation lock on the phone.
It's not letting me flash any updates or firmware in download mode.
Whenever I try to disable the re-activation lock on the phone security menu, it asks for a username and password, then once I put in the correct password, it puts me back into security settings and the reactivation lock is still ticked on.
I updated from 4.4.2 to 5.0 last week and I'm just trying to re-root, but I can't turn off activation lock to let me flash packages.
Anyone heard of this before? Any fixes?
I've just this second tried a factory reset, it asks for my Samsung account info, I put it in, it resets the phone.
When it comes back up, tells me that I have done an unclean reset and I need to log into my samsung account to continue.
I log in, and reactivation lock is still ticked.
Halp please. App adverts are eating my data and I need root.
It's not a password problem if it was it would say invalid ID or password. It goes through the process of signing in then it says Process failed.
findmymobile.samsung.com is able to RING MY DEVICE but I an unable to get past "This phone has been locked because of an abnormal factory reset. Sign in to the Samsung account that was previously used on this phone. Is there any hope for this phone? Knox is tripped because the phone had previously been rooted.
problem solved
I Odin to 5.0.1-N910VVRU2BPA1 and was able to sign in to remove the Reactivation lock then I upgraded to 6.0.1-N910VVRU2CQF2.
The ROMs I use came from SamMobile
Hi,
I tried to root my phone using the instructions from this thread; I'm no expert, but I have rooted other phones previously, and I followed the instructions to the letter. Unfortunately, every time I get the error message "Custom binary(recovery) Blocked By R/L" on my phone.
I didn't initially know what this was, so I looked around a bit and it looks like it refers to the Samsung Reactivation Lock. Problem is, I just bought the phone today, I have no Samsung account linked to this phone, and the Reactivation Lock option under "Security" is turned off. I tried messing around with it a little, and found a few other very puzzling things. First of all, when I access the "About device" section of my phone, it says it's an SM-N910F; but when the phone is in download mode, it says "PRODUCT NAME: SM-N910P". I have no idea what to make of this.
Also, as I mentioned, when the phone is booted, the Reactivation Lock is unchecked (as it should be, since I don't have a connected Samsung account); but when the phone is in download mode, it says "REACTIVATION LOCK: On".
So I decided to try and connect my Samsung account, thinking that maybe if I did that, activated the lock and then de-activated it, it would stick. So I did the proper procedure to connect my account, I click on "Reactivation Lock" to check it, it asks me for my password, I enter it, it loads for a while and then it boots me back to the previous screen, and the "Reactivation Lock" option remains unchecked. I tries this several times, even after reboots, and for some reason it doesn't let me activate the option; other features of the Samsung account work just fine, so it's not a server or password problem.
Sorry for the long post, but there were a lot of weird things I thought I should mention, even though I'm not sure how much they're related to the problem. The main problem, as I mentioned, is that I can't root my phone because it tells me Reactivation Lock is on, but Reactivation Lock is off and I can't actually turn it on even if I try to. I have no idea what to make of this, I couldn't find any solution online, and I'd just like to root my phone so I can change the fonts (not like I need to do any major hacking).
I should probably also mention that the phone is on Android version 5.1.1.
I'd greatly appreciate any help you could give me.

Hi. I want to ask for your advice. What can I do with my phone?
Samsung Galaxy A31 (Model SM-A315GZWKTPA).
I'm in Mexico, I bought it through a system called "PayJoy". I finished paying it, called PayJoy and they helped me remove the app. Everything was fine.
I never turned it off. But one day the battery ran out and of course it turned off. The problem is that when I turned it on it asked for the password. I wrote it in a paper but I can't find it. I tried my best to remember the password but all I accomplished was getting a message that says "try agin in 250 -something minutes".
I tried to bring it to the store where I brought it but the store closed. They don't answer their phones.
I tried to use the Google Android recovery and the phone doesn't show up (I can post screencaps, just not sure if I have to erase things like the serial number?)
I tried to use the Samsung Find My Mobile website and same thing, it doesn't show up.
Brought it to the Samsung store, they taught me a menu appears when you turn it off and then ykou press vol up and power. But they told me because I bought it through PayJoy it had some kind of software that didn't allowed recovery.
The menu displays this:
Android Recovery
samsung/a31nsdx/a31
10/QP1A.190711.020/A315GDXU1AUC9
user/release-keys
Android Recovery
samsung/a31insdx/a31
10/QP1A.190711.020/A315GDXU1AUC9
user/release-keys
Use volume up/down and power
———————————————
Reboot system now
Reboot to boot loader
Apply update from ADB
Apply update from SD card
Wipe cache partition
Mount /system
View recovery logs
Run graphics test
Run locale test
Power off

The guys at the Samsung store told me they could reset it if I showed them proof I had finished paying it. I requested it from PayJoy and after several weeks they gave me a document that says I've finished paying the phone and now I'm the owner.
Samsung took it to their lab and they gave me a document that says something like (Translated from Spanish): "To proceed with the repair we request to go to your distributor or operator to unblock the service configuration of your account (Telcel, Knox cloud, Payjoy, MobileIron, Paymetservice etc.) for a correct diagnostic.
I asked PayJoy but they won't answer.
I bought it to a cell repair shop and they told me they tried different recovering options, among them one on this forum.
They tried:
- ADB
- Odin
- Upload from ADB
- Upload fastboot
- Download mode
- Odin flashing only CP
- Flasher BL
- FRP removal tool
- A thread on this website:
Method 1: No recovery installed

RF8R20LLR5P sideload
adb shell
error: closed
Method 4:
adb shell

Method 5:

Method 7:

- Another software (forgot the name) that gave this output:

FAP Lock: ON
OEM Lock: ON (L)
MTK Secure Boot: Enable
Warranty void: 0x0 (0x0)

MDM Download Block: Not allow

I even hired a so-called hacker online and he tried to use (his words) "Metasploit Mediatek exploit to gain root". Nothing.
PayJoy on WhatsApp, Facebook and phone won't answer back.
I would really, really appreciate:
a) If anybody knows where I can talk to a person - not a useless chatbot - from PayJoy Mexico. Or if they know the address of their repair shop so I they can help me unlock it.
b) Any other method to recover it. I don't care if I lose my files. I just want to reset the password and use it with the same Google account and the same Samsung account. If it's a repair shop, please one im Mexico City that charges a reasonable price. I bought the phone for MX $8,900 and a local repair shop from a major retailer told me it would cost around $4,500 to repair it.
I can upload screenshots and copies of the documents I have to demosntrate ownership, they're in Spanish. (Should I blur the IMEI or any other data like my name or is it OK to post them?)
Hope you can help me.
Hanna
6/6/22 Update.
I've just called PayJoy Mexico. I explained the situation, they asked for a bunch of questions to make sure I was the user, and they told me they were going to do something on the system to remove the locks. If it didn't worked they recommended me to go to a technician so they could change the base board.
It didn't worked.
Now I got bad memory because I can't remember the password and an expensive... brick. Sigh.

The phone has to have service on their phone system for their fix to work... call them back.
That is the MDM locked, only the agent who activate it can remove it

Hi. Thank you for your answer.
Could you please elaborate a little? What do you mean it has to have service on their phone system? Do I ask PayJoy to call me to the phone? (It won't allow me to dial anthing) Or just use the same number that was registered with them and have the phone turned on while they try to fix it?
Thanks.
