Scheduled power on & off on S8? - Samsung Galaxy S8 Questions and Answers

I can't find this useful setting (at least to me) on S8 while I am using it on the BLU RD H1 (Android 6.0). Is there any way to enable it? Thanks.

You can use Auto Restart in Device Management to reboot phone on pre-set schedules (day & time) but you can't specific the power-off and on times. You'll have to use a third party app. Not a stock feature of samsung s8. Mostly found on chinese oem roms.

I thought it was stock feature of Android. Too bad. Thanks anyway!

I tried. It disable background data, which means when you leave an application to background, you will not receive any notification. It also disable all transition effects.

Unfortunately yes, but it useful when you sleep and you don't want any notifications and you want to use your phone on the day, you wake up and the phone will be for example from 100% to 98% but using stamina mode with it
I think they should rename it to sleep mode [emoji6]

Okay, but how do you access the FM Radio?
*edit* Never mind. Just use the Next Radio app.

It works great I am running mine on condensed its great. Allows me to check one more thing off the list of items I need root for. If I could just get V4A working I would be happy without root.
I have been really impressed with the frequency of updates for the S7 Edge, the updates for the S6 seemed to come months after launch for ciritical issues. Glad to see they are on top of it.

Do you have any 3rd party launchers/widgets installed ? You may want to look into that list of apps first. I would also uninstall lesser known apps first, one by one, and check which one caused the issue
I actually did that, no widgets, no launcher just the page you see in the screen shots, no lesser known apps, nothing fixes it.

I'm not sure if this would work, but try disabling Nearby Device Scanning from settings and see if this fixes the issue.
I used to get that when the profile sharing thing was enabled, can't remember what it is called exactly but it was a Samsung thing that lets you share your gallery to family members etc. I debloated my phone though so can't remember the name exactly.
I don't get the error when I'm connected to WiFi only get the error when I'm not connected to any data or when I'm on 4g.

Ok I installed the version currently available on samobile.. it worked!! Now if I wanted to revert to my s6 version of touchwiz I thought I could choose the option to uninstall updates under apps??
Uninstall updates isn't a button as you can see?!

I know you're looking for previous versions of the Samsung keyboard but there are far better ones available.
The best one overall is Gboard (Google keyboard). Gives shortcut straight to Google search, allows a moderate amount of customization (themes) and allows slide typing.
Swiftkey and Flesky are two other ones that are pretty close, Flesky has some serious perks in terms of screen estate and theming (you can customize the look to virtually anything you desire). Both of these are free as well.

Anybody received the customizable Google Search widget update?

Hello
I was looking for the customizable Google Search widget update when I first heard the news about it.
I have realized that I am now using much more recent version of the same. .
But I still could not get the overflow menu in the widget to customize it.
Did anyone got luck with that?
I am in the Google app beta and have it

Am i using incompatible version ?
I am not getting the overflow menu.
It seems to be tied to the main account on a phone. I just set up my partner's new S8 and the custom option appeared. Not on my S8 or G6. I don't think it's phone specific, but rather tied to an account that has it activated. Very frustrating.
