Hi everyone,
I think not everybody knows about this option in the last Lollipop update on Xperia devices so I just wanted to share it with you.
This option is available on Google's stock Lollipop update.
I hope you find it useful

I tried. It disable background data, which means when you leave an application to background, you will not receive any notification. It also disable all transition effects.

Unfortunately yes, but it useful when you sleep and you don't want any notifications and you want to use your phone on the day, you wake up and the phone will be for example from 100% to 98% but using stamina mode with it
I think they should rename it to sleep mode [emoji6]

I refreshed the Update Center a lot of times today . The update showed up minutes ago on my Central European firmware.
Just got the update too, looks so damn weird and out of place in Kitkat. The icon is also the odd one out for all sony apps on my z1c.

I am using the old firmware of 4.3 and the update available is kitkat.
I meant the screenshot that sony put within the update center app. The home button is different than stock google's lollipop icons. I'm just wondering if we're getting a peek at sony's skin of L.
I still wish they would make it easier to get from the play queue to 'now playing'
well you got a point there. But it seems the navbar is still the same
Not sure if u guys know this but Sony didn't remove System UI tuner in MM.
What is this ?
It is a tweak by Google allows u to edit on statues bar icons and quick settings it was one of the main features in Marshmallow update as I remember
What's the difference between it and Sony's one ?
There is not a huge difference between them but in the tuner u can remove all these icons in statues bar ( including Network icons ) and only get time and battery.. Well u can't remove those network icons in Sony's settings.
U will also get something called demo mode ( I am not sure what does it do :3 ) but it changes the time to 6:00 and hide all the apps notifications
How to enable it ?
Just hold in that gear icon in notification panel until it starts to roll after that lift your finger off and u will get a message telling u the activation of it..
To access it in any time just open settings and scroll down it located under " about phone ".
How to disable it ?
Re-hold your finger on the gear

Yeah. I knew it could be disabled somehow, but didn't know the name of the app.
TiBackup saved my ass so many times.
still not happy with the phone, but I didn't have to pay full retail for it so its whatever. better than my last handset for sure tho.

So basically whenever I turn my phone on I get this notification, I tried to ignore it for as long as I could, but seeing this notification every time I turn on my screen is driving me nuts, any help would be highly appreciated.

Do you have any 3rd party launchers/widgets installed ? You may want to look into that list of apps first. I would also uninstall lesser known apps first, one by one, and check which one caused the issue
I actually did that, no widgets, no launcher just the page you see in the screen shots, no lesser known apps, nothing fixes it.

I'm not sure if this would work, but try disabling Nearby Device Scanning from settings and see if this fixes the issue.
I used to get that when the profile sharing thing was enabled, can't remember what it is called exactly but it was a Samsung thing that lets you share your gallery to family members etc. I debloated my phone though so can't remember the name exactly.
I don't get the error when I'm connected to WiFi only get the error when I'm not connected to any data or when I'm on 4g.

Hello
I was looking for the customizable Google Search widget update when I first heard the news about it.
I have realized that I am now using much more recent version of the same. .
But I still could not get the overflow menu in the widget to customize it.
Did anyone got luck with that?
I am in the Google app beta and have it

Are you using stock launcher ?

Am i using incompatible version ?
I am not getting the overflow menu.
It seems to be tied to the main account on a phone. I just set up my partner's new S8 and the custom option appeared. Not on my S8 or G6. I don't think it's phone specific, but rather tied to an account that has it activated. Very frustrating.
