So my issue is whenever I set an image as a wallpaper other than an official one, the image looks like the first image attached.
There is a grey bar where the status bar is.
No, battery saver is not on.
The second picture attached is an official wallpaper. No weird discoloration.
Anyone else have this issue?
Same here, it's a bug.. Also s7 has this bug.
Workaround: download multipicture live wallpaper from play Store
I have the same issue. But it's only noticeable on black wallpapers. Any other color seems to mask it, for me at least.

Yes same here, the above suggestion does help but not perfectly. Google's wallpaper app seems to do a better job but it's still noticeable. I hope it gets corrected in the future.
i just noticed this bug yesterday trying to set a black wallpaper from my images....really anoying.
weird that only happens with black wallpapers
I think that it will happen when using pure black wallpaper.
If you are using nova launcher, you will turn on home-screen gradation.
A little better look;q

Using it now on my x10. Im really enjoying it so far. Think I will keep it for a while.
Hmm not sure about it cant u change the live wallpaper? And end up with double lockscreens. Might have a go at editing the apk images dont like the icons

You cant change the live wallpapper But I think it looks good. Theres a issue with some widgets being cut (Does it with all beautiful home widgets) Dont have the issue with the 2 lock screens though.
Lol welli actually had 3 because im using flyscreen. Still prefer adw I think

I've tested it.
Here'sd the app : http://www.megaupload.com/?d=V44GIZEX
I like the black theme... but the lockscreen is laggy sometimes and the animation background freeze sometimes.
EDIT : Need to reboot once after the installation. Now there is no lag. I've also noticed a related post there : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=797660
Yes.
and this has been posted already yesterday, in the XPERIA X10 Themes and Apps.
tested it and I like it more than the default theme. But it is kind of difficult to unlock using just one hand. Its definitely something you can get used to but I kind of miss the dockng bar of adw launcher.

Sorry didnt notice the other topic. Though I only looked in this section.
Wait, I thought this was a worldwide thing?
Well, way to go, SE Japan!

It's not that difficult, actually...
You'lll just have to drag te blob upwards. Don't have to touch the lock icon.
But the thing that I don't like about it is that I can't change wallpapers. I like the screen lock part, but I wanna use my own wallpaper =/
its the start maybe in the next version it will have the possibility to change wallpapers and other settings
I like the lock screen but I don't see myself using the launcher much... it cuts many widgets off... and I love my widgets
i like this lay out
cool stuff
But the lock screen lags, so i'm turning it off for now.
so, the lock screen can by used separately?
The best part about this launcher is if you are in the Application Drawer, click the little wrench in the right corner, and you can uninstall programs right there. Awesome.
I wonder if default lockscreen app can be overwritten directly in the file system...
perhaps this way would prevent old lockscreen "flashing"
ambient time
who uses it? if so is it draining your battery way too fast?
I've seen on mine that even when charging it the battery is being drained
thanks for the comments
Regards battery draining, no.
Sent from my X10i using Tapatalk
this is awesome but idk why when charging my phone and using this them the battery seems to be drained faster instead of charging
anyone has the same problem?
For me, so far ok. Not much difference and I have turn off the ambient time screen lock.
But notice that it will slow down a bit when you finish a call as it will load the ambient time home screen for a while without the icons then go back to lock screen.

Hi guys, it seems that when I use ADW EX launcher, sometimes the wallpapers that fit PERFECTLY in the original launcher become stretched out widescreen style; and I end up having black bars at the top and bottom of the homescreen.
Meaning, when I use wallpaper wizaardrii in regular launcher to set a wallpaper, it looks beautiful and well scaled. However, if I switch launchers to ADW, the same wallpaper does not fit anymore; even if I use wallpaper wizardrii to set it.
I wonder why this happens?
And most importantly, what resolutioni wallpapers do you guys usually use?
I am looking at www.interfacelift.com; and they have a plethora of resolutions, I just need to find out which one I should be downloading.
thanks
It seem that this is an issue with ADW EX (lots of folks are having the same issue). Others, including myself have got around the problem by installing an app called MultiPicture Live Wallpaper. It allows you to set a differet background for each home screen and it's wallaper scaler works properly.... Nt a solution, but a work-around untl ADW EX is updated.

Could you please elaborate? What is the 'wallpaper hack'? And what does it do?

If you go into the ADW settings and check under general settings, it should be there. I don't understand what it really does but it makes the scrolling smoother.

Well the screen is 1280 pixels maximum
So to get a wallpaper that works in both orientations, it would need to be 1280x1280

No it wouldn't FFS! if you haven't tried it don't knock it
It's 1610 x 1280 and it works perfectly tried and tested
Multipicture wallpaper was what I've been looking for, but had no idea how to search for what I wanted in the market... THX!
I download wallpapers off of interfacelift.com, which resolution should I download them for, for this device? Every wallpaper I set is blurry (aside from LWP's and stock wallpapers). Camera pics and other ones are blurry.
I've been using 1280x800 wallpapers but I still get zoomed in poorly cropped wallpapers unless I use the stock ones. You could try any HD picture and use an app like wallpaper wizardrii to scale it nicely

I tried that one but even with a single wallpaper and no transition, my tablet lags. I don't get lag with a standard wallpaper though. Maybe I'll need to re-try and play with settings

Hmmm which ROM are you using?
Set to "no transitions" here, and not experiencing any "lag", however it does take a second or two to initially set the wallpaper on boot up.

I don't know if it's just me, but every time I try wallpaper wizardii, at first, it fits nicely, and there is no problem, but after a few hours, the tablet becomes laggy. Especially the home screen transition is very laggy. Same goes for Multi live wallpaper. Although this one is laggy from the start.
I just couldn't believe the high rating of the apps. And I'm guessing it's only me who's having the problems..

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but here's the solution...
Download Wallpaper Changer by j4velin. Download whatever wallpapers off of interfacelift (I use 1680x1050, but other resolutions should work), put them onto the SD card. Add the wallpapers to the rotation. There ya go. Note that this app has a "Change wallpaper" widget. Add that to your desktop for quick wallpaper changes.
fwiw the default Res on the stock wallpaper "default_wallpaper.jpg" is 1920 x 1408
Crazy but true.
So this is my first topic here and since everyone seems so nice I figured this would be the best place to ask this question. Whenever I find a really good locksreen picture it seems as having the ripple effect just complelty washes out the picture and makes it look horrible. I realize that you can disable that effect but I personally like it. So I guess what my question is if there is any way to keep the ripple effect yet have HD like pictures on my lockscreen with the original resolution?
I get my wallpapers from the Zedge app and they all look great on the lockscreen w/ ripple effect. It could just be an issue with the resolution of the wallpapers you're using.

I noticed it with dark wallpapers. I mostly go with dark setups so I had to disable the ripple effect.

Ok this is probably in then because I love dark lockscreens as well =/ well thats kind of disappointing =(
It's emulating water on top of the picture. So yea its gonna be shiny looking, but best bet is to go with vibrant color on lock screen

Is it possible to set a live wallpaper on the lockscreen in this Beta? I only see an option for static wallpapers. No biggy. Just curious.

There is a thing named motion wallpaper which supports a color changing effect on lockscreen although it delivers a couple wallpapers.

I don't think that's quite what OP wants. I was looking for the same thing but it seems the stupid ass wallpaper theme store only supports static wallpapers and I can't set lockscreen wallpapers from the homescreen. I think it's a bug that'll go away when the release is official
Thanks. Yeah, saw that. They are a little... underwhelming. Was hoping for full control over this.
Note 7 Rom had the same got round it by using wallpaper picker doesn't work on nought maybe someone knows how to get it working

I tried a few different wallpaper choosers and launchers, and can't get Live Wallpapers to work. Looks like Samsung removed LWP on Lockscreen functionality. Too bad. I really wanted to use some of those gorgeous pixel wallpapers.
