I have a S3 Neo around here but with no screen (no lcd, no touch, just the bezel).
My question is, can I use a normal S3 screen + touch and assemble using the factory bezel?

No buddy, It's not compatible. But you can definitely try ordering from AliExpress. It's not worth paying for the original screen. Aliexpress one will cost you somewhere between $40 to $50 and I have personally used it for almost a year the one i got from Aliexpress. I would say the AMOLED is not that great. But the pixels are quiet okay and they send entire frame also so need not worry. It's much easy to replace the screen. You can check out some Youtube Videos

I woke up this morning i my screen glass was boken (i dont remember how 'cause i was too dunk ) ..
well, the thing is ... are those replacement screen on ebay like the original, i mean super amoled ???
is there a way to replace only the glass and not the whole screen? anyone know where to buy only the glass?
thanks a lot ...
The replacements are LCD. The reason you have to replace them is because you can't seperate the glass from the OLED. Maybe getting so drunk wasn't worth it?

Im sorry, your wrong. They aren't LCD replacements. They are SAMOLED screens. I just put my replacement in friday. The one i got from ebay was OEM and works and fits perfectly.
Also, getting drunk is ALWAYS worth it.
how much money do the replacements run for?
ebay links?

$55 - $100
So this screen replaces the glass front as well.
Not that i have damaged mine ( touch wood) but always good to know.
That's one reason why you shouldn't get drunk!

You're 100% sure they're AMOLED? Whatever the case I don't think breaking a phone is worth it to get super hammed. If you're so inclined to get hammered maybe you should leave your phone at home because having broken your screen just cost you 2-3 bottles of some Grey Goose...

Im 100% certain that the screen i got is SAMOLED. But i still need to find a home button
i have replaced the screen on my galaxy s, the screens advertised on ebay are infact super amoled screens, they are advertised as LCD is just a simple mistake (i remember picking one up around £30). The original screen is attached to the phone with a double side sticky tape! You'll just have to rip it out but when you get to the home button you have to carefully separate the ribbons for the touch sensitive buttons which are attached to the glass. Then its just a matter of sticking everything back in place and jobs a goodin'
There is a guide on youtube on disassembly which is simple, the rest you have to figure out yourself.
thanks for the reply's ...
but i still have one doubt ..
since the front glass covers the whole front of the phone, maybe it's not the same glass of the screen .. could be an aditional glass above the screen .. or not?
im telling this because my screen broke just 2 or 3 millimiters above the menu button and 1 o 2 mm bellow the screen ...
so, maybe i don't have to replace the whole screen system ....
do you know about a case replacement? maybe that could have the front glass ...
i'll post some pictures of my broken screen when i have the chance ...
thanks ...

You will have to replace the whole screen/SAMOLED assembly as they are expoxied together. The SAMOLED is so thin that removing it will ultimately damage it.
It is indeed a very stupid design from Samsung with the screen going all the way down around the home button. It has made the glass very vulnerable there and practically all screen cracks start there.
Does anyone have any idea on where i can get a home button. I dont need the ribbon cable and sensors just the physical peice of plastic that is the button itself. I am realy desprate.
Okay so it's been less than a f***ing week and I've managed to crack my Nexus 7 32GB 3G. Hell yeah. Fell on a bathroom ceramic tile from 4 foot high and the corner bit chipped off. The entire touch screen works though, it's just the corner bit cracked.
SO ANYWAYS! I have a few questions for those smart guys out there that know about displays.
First of all, I've found out from the internet, that because the LCD and the Digitiser are glued together, I'd need to buy them together. Otherwise known as a Nexus 7 Display Assembly.
Few questions:
1) If I buy a display assembly from ebay for example, will it be of less quality than ASUS's original screen, or will it probably just be a part from ASUS anyways?
2) If I do buy this display assembly, will it still have the same number of Pixels as the original screen?
3) Will it have the same brightness, same touch responsiveness, same all that **** as the original screen?
If not, I may consider just repairing directly from ASUS, so...
4) How much does it cost in pounds(£) to repair the N7 Screen all in, taking into account my shipping fees from the UK?
Seriously need someone who has any experience of this whatsoever
I'm considering if I should repair this with the 3rd party screen and sell it privately if it's not the same quality, then buy a brand new one for myself. What's your guys thoughts on this? I really need some of your expert advice
I JUST replaced the screen on my nexus. I bought the display assembly from powerbookmedic.com, and the tools I needed from iFixit.com. All in all, it cost me around $200 in the States. The repair process was pretty easy, and the screen looks and functions exactly the same as the original screen. My only suggestion would be to make sure you have some good adhesive. I have a little screen lift now because the adhesive lost its traction when I took the cracked screen off the upper casing. Good luck!

Huh? Adhesive? We have to add adhesive? I thought adhesive was only to the digitiser + the lcd screen? I thought that it already comes assembled when you buy the part, because apparently you have to buy it together? If it isn't used for digitiser/lcd screen, then what did you use adhesive for?
The digitizer is indeed fused to the glass, but the silver ring you see around your screen is also fixed to the glass with adhesive, and that part doesn't come with the LCD/digitizer assembly.
The screen affixed itself to this upper casing on mine okay, but I do have about a millimeter or so of screen lift now which I didn't have before.

The best way to attach the new display is to use very thin two sided tape. you cut it in 1/8 inch strips. Apple it all the way around the bezel. then with a sharp knife run it along the inside bezel. Pay close attention to the thin bezel area on the left side ({where screen lift occurs) To be sure you do have it perfect in that area.. Ithe screen face down on cloth . Push the bezel onto the sticky tape (with film removed of course.. Turn device over and put back together.. LEAVING OUT THE TWO CENTER SCREWS or leave then very loose on the left side.(if you have a newer model of nexus these screws will be gone anyway). I have done many phone /tablet screens . If you can get it apart and back together you can replace the screen assembly..
No real need to send it to someone else nexus is easy to dissemble reassemble
Good Luck... Buy a full working 8 gb from ebay for 150.00 might be your best best....
Any clue How to detach the broken glass\digitazer\lcd from this aluminiun bezel?
I recently broke my screen as well. I saw on ebay only 2 options. First option is a screen only for about $50 which doesn't look like it will do anything for me. You the second option is a digitizer for around $300. $300 clearly exceeds the cost of a brand new device so that wouldn't make any sense at all. Even $200 doesn't make sense as I can buy a 8gb device for that and swap screens. I have the 16gb model. Does anyone have any cheaper sources for screen/digitizer that make economic sense?
Thanks,
Dan

It seems pretty pointless to me why you posted that in response to my comment about the chinese website because
a) It was a chinese website... I just needed some help because of the language lol
b) It seems we're only interested in the screen which is what was being suggested... not the a full device like you said lol
c) Your price is $179... his price for the screen was ~$120... so even if I was to harnass only the screen in your one... I'm still at a loss.. lol
Thanks for the try though!
Actually $179 for an entire new (refurbished) nexus 7 with 16gb more storage than mine is a very tempting option. I may choose to do that vs spending almost the same to import a screen from China, have to go through the hassle of installing it myself and hopefully do it properly and have it look clean and factory. If I did that then I could still hang on to my broken one in hopes that in 6 months or so the screen prices might drop to a more reasonable price.

Hi!
I have broken my screen and was wondering what I need to buy to change it.
I see people on youtube buys the whole frame with the screen and just move the components over. Do I have to do that?
(my glass is shattered, touch is not working and screen is half black so everything needs to be replaced )

i think it's better to send to samsung to repair your phone then do it by yourself.I've seen many people screwed their phone by do it by themselves and it will cost you more..
Yep you'll need the whole screen with frame as it sounds like the digitiser and lcd are both shot as well. Make sure it's for an i9500, i9505 frames won't fit.

Hello all. I'm almost going to buy this with a cracked screen. I went through youtube and saw videos where people ruin the lcd while trying to fix the glass only repair. Is it always this hard? Is there a sure way to replace the glass only? Or one would need to replace the whole lcd (which is really expensive)
Thank you

Better to just replace the whole thing I just got mine replaced almost paid about 200 dollars the screen and the lcd is glued together I asked my cell phone repair man and he should me the screen and why it usually doesn't work out its because they are literally glued very very closely together trust it's not worth just getting the screen replaced because u will most likely have touchscreen issues yellowing issues etc ...... If u don't plan on upgrading your phone anytime soon I would say go for it I just did it because I plan on using my note 4 a little longer we have a lot of good development and marshmallow is near mate soon. ...
Yeah, you are better off replacing the entire front panel of the Note 4 or any Samsung flagship device. As the screen and display on Samsung flagships are all glued to together so replacing just the screen is a very hard job.
Hey Everyone,
So I broke my nexus 6p last week friday as I was out with friends and kinda fell on the floor and dropped my phone in the process and then it hit the floor really hard, I picked up the phone to find out the whole phone and digitizer is broken and couldn't use the touch screen at all. I need to perform a repair on my phone as I am using my old little htc desire 510, I did buy a screen but It looked off all together such as the whole screen looked alot more thicker and the sides were a lot thicker than slim and was falsely advertised that it is AMOLED boy I was wrong but luckily managed to get a refund out of it. Does anyone know where they have got good genuine screen/digitizer from before I'm not too bothered if its amoled or LCD I just need a working screen to be honest.
Another question, If I were to get an LCD What is the difference between AMOLED or LCD, I know that Amoled has got that super black look to it and brings more colour into the screens but risks getting burn in on the phone. I'm not too sure about LCD Would both be up on par with each other or not?
Thanks for reading.
@ZuneYT AMOLED is so much better then LCD. Too many times you get bright spots or see the lights on the side. Maybe I've just had bad phone's lol. See if you can pick up a bootlooped or dead Nexus 6p cheap and use the factory screen . Got to be enough out there with all the issues it has.

Haha, I know that AMOLED is so much better than LCD, If I did buy LCD It would be a difference to me and will most likely miss the amoled screen but is it really worth buying another 6P just to get the Amoled screen back?
Have you looked at the cost of buying a new 6p? I broke my N6 about a year ago, and it was ~$200 for the screen/digitizer. I got the N6p I'm using now on eBay for $140 and it was in excellent shape, no issues to speak of.
