Custom voices were available for a limited time. I found Them on reddit. You have to overwrite The sound files în waze. (u choose one other Then default and navigate to waze folder) but The folder îs not available. Is not hidden but unavailable. Thats Why i Think you have to root The Phone. I have an s8 and i didnt find any safe root method

Tutorial: How to get data working on sprint g900p S5 GSM

WARNING: DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK , I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR BRICKED DEVICES OR LOOPING DEVICES , IF YOU ARE GOING TO TRY THIS BE SURE TO KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING BEFORE ATTEMPTING
First of all this is my very first post on the community, i dont usually post here but since i have been on here since the times of the motorola droid 2 i might as well post this thing that i did to help me sort the problem with the data on the galaxy s5
Things that i used:
TWRP Recovery installed via TWRP Manager from playstore
Galaxy s5 4.4.2 already rooted via kingoroot ( You can use any other method that you prefer)
Shohat ROM V5 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2719386 (All credits go directly to Shohat for this amazing rom)
Build prop editor (You can get it from playstore)
cm-11-20140919-UNOFFICIAL-klte (This is available for download at androidhost here http://d-h.st/niU , all credits go to Albinoman887 for uploading that file and to cyanogen for making that build)
SSU.APK http://forum.xda-developers.com/spr...print-samsung-unlocker-unlock-sprint-t2928250 (All credits go to aalyatim for making this wonderful app)
Patience
Lets begin
First off all you got to root the phone , i used kingoroot as its one of the fastest and easiest method to root your device , it even gives you on screen steps for doing the rooting process
Next once the device has been successfully rooted we are going to go on ahead and download TWRP Manager from playstore, install it and install the recovery on your phone ( If you already have it or if you have a diferent method to install it theres not a problem)
Next once the recovery has been installed we are going to unlock the phone by using SSU.apk and just installing the app and running it (If you have already unlocked the phone there is no need to install the unlock again)
Next once the phone has been successfully unlocked we are going to be doing the next step, download build prop editor from playstore , give root priviliges to it , go to the edit option ( Small pencil located at the bottom right of the screen ) and scroll down all the way to the bottom, once here type in the following:
ril.sales_code=LOL
ro.csc.sales_code=LOL
Once you have that in , we are going to save it by going to the top right and clicking the floppy disk and waiting for it to save build prop
Next step will be turning off device and entering recovery mode ( You can google how to access recovery mode ) , once inside recovery we are going to be doing the following , since im using TWRP i went to WIPE, then FACTORY RESET , after that i went to ADVANCED WIPE , and checked dalvik cache , system, data, cache i got an error on trying to write something but thats normal
Next step was installing the cm-11-20140919-UNOFFICIAL-klte that you previously downloaded on the steps below , install gapps if you want but it wont be necessary , once thats install and the phone boots you will be able to see the H+, 3g or the connection that you have on your area based on your gsm provider
Now in case you want to stop here and stay with cyanogen you can do it , but if you want to have the stock fresh look of S5 TouchWiz then we are going to do next steps
Once thats done we are going to be accessing recovery once more , once inside we are going to be doing the exact same process that we did before i went to WIPE, then FACTORY RESET , after that i went to ADVANCED WIPE , and checked dalvik cache , system, data, cache i got an error on trying to write something but thats normal
Next we will be installing the rom Shohat ROM V5 once it begins, it takes a while for it to finish , do not restart your device until its done even if it appears its not doing anything , once install reboot the device , you will wait a moment for it to load, once loaded you will be getting the samsung galaxy welcome screen , complete all of the steps to finish the setup and youre done , if you dont see the H+ sign or the signal , just check that your apn are there and were done
I Have tried with AT&T and with a foreign carrier in mexico and it worked great
I have attached pictures with proof , i took it with my camera so it doesn look edited or anything , i hope this helps you out as it helped me

Are you saying the phone picked up signal with an AT&T SIM here in the US...?
As far as I know, this doesn't work on the G900P for domestic use. It probably worked for the OP because he's in Mexico (or I've just molested my G900P so much it's not picking up any GSM networks).

Bahaha - better get on that
I figured it was a super long shot, just asking him to clarify. I'm subscribed to every thread on Sprint Samsung unlocking, and from your posts (and others'), it's clearly deeper than ROM level. A guy can dream though ^__^

Duh
@lololo619 might wanna put a disclaimer about US GSM use in the OP
I hope the OP sees this.
Did you have problems with the "Unable to establish a wireless data connection LTE: ESM-29 EMM-X" with correct APN before and this fixed it? Thanks for posting
Your Solution Worked!!!
Thank you so much.
I can confirm that this WORKS!!!
I was heart broken after I unlocked the phone and could not get data on Digicel Dominica (in the Caribbean) even with the correct APN settings. I googled for some time until I found your post. After reading the comments on this post, I did not have much hope but as they say "nothing beats a try" and so I followed your instructions and VOILA...
Thanks again Bro...:good:

I got on it. Restored the efs data partitions And performed the note 3 domestic unlock steps and dest's (sorry buddy, I only remember your original username!) international unlock app. I then modified the build.prop as much as I could to the Verizon build (G900V). I can see T Mobile and AT&T networks when searching with a valid T Mobile SIM in, but cant connect obviously. The invalid SIM notification would have to be legitimately removed before one could even consider registering onto the network. I...just want to take a peek at nv item 10124

Yeah I remember seeing 10124 mentioned. It'll be interesting to see what form DSU takes. It's obviously still an OTA process instead of a code but I'm curious as to how different it is from the current international method

Its just another IPC command called over RIL I bet. If you followed the ORIGINAL author of the international unlock's post he drops the hint on what IPC command was called. I was able to decompile his app, change the IPC command and relock the phone, confirming that the phone is indeed locked using this method instead of directly accessing the nv items over the QC diag port. We are able to log the international unlock process if you know how to set the debugging levels high enough. With a domestic unlock on the horizon via OTA, it shouldn't be long before the domestic unlock back is public.

I dropped to NE (4.4.2) to get it to work. It has everything I want expect wifi calling. I have the same question if there a 4.4.4 touchwiz rom (or 4.4.2 with wifi calling) that works with this.
Thanks OP!
is fingerprint working in shohat rom? mine is not working, NFC either...
Thanks!
shohat rom working on 4.4.4 ( NK4 ) ? i only got black screen ...
I can confirm that this really works.
Thanks bro for this wonderful job.

Halp! S7 verity i say to you

A couple weeks ago I rooted my S7 Edge, everything has been fine. Cool. I have zero experience other than that phone (currently using S4 on wifi) as far as rooting or other such activities. We had a fire in our home two Thursday's ago and PCs are out for cleaning so I'm kind of screwed right now with my issue.
This afternoon my phone went into a 'phone stopped working' or whatever it said dialog box after receiving a call, I could not answer, could not do anything really, so I rebooted... into a continuous boot. Ho hum.
I tried restarting again, same thing. Booted into recovery and then tried again... back into the boot loop. I figured since I don't have my PCs :crying:
The "dm-verity verification failed" is what I've got. Kind of short in the patience department with all that's been going on asks lack of resources, so I did the factory reset, went through that, redid things, used the phone for a bit, texts etc. Then, the messages boxes started again. I restarted, back right square one. I don't think there is much I can do without my PC but am hoping to find some reads and info regarding my issue.
I haven't looked into and don't know if the sim card from the S7 will work in this S4 as I need to have a working phone. I can use this unit via wifi for the time being.
Sorry for the long winded intro post, just looking for some guidance lol
How screwed am I?
no the nano sim card out of s7 will not work in your micro sim card s4. unless u buy nano to micro sim card adaptor on ebay.
Quickest easiest way to get sim card adapter is buy a $2 starter prepaid SIM from any network .. like you get at petrol station... They generally have a "one size fits all" sim... Just take theor nano SIM card out and pop yours into the micro SIM frame...

If you flash the latest supersu.zip in your recovery then that should remove the dm-verity.

Yes it is, if you root your phone using the wrong method. I used cf-autoroot and never had any problems with it.

I have to look at things on my pc to see what was used exactly. Seems on par with most things I have seen and xda was where I linked to for things. Things were fine for a couple weeks until that phone call, which doesn't make sense to me. Like wouldn't I have had issues right away if something were not correct? Idk, I busted my cherry on this tmo s7 edge lol

If the supersu method does not work, I would suggest you to flash a stock firmware via odin , root with cf and after that no problems should occur anymore.

Can't find fingerprint management in settings.

This happened last week, took the phone(Huawei Nova Model-CAZ-AL10) out of my pocket it got hanged for quite a moment rebooted as it was running very slowing after responding, since them it doesnt take any fingerprint gesture neither does it unlock. Went to settings thinking that maybe my finger print Id got erased somehow, but to my surprise I find that there is no fingerprint management in setting. Tried googling no solution found. Was in Thailand this week took it to the customer service they said they dont have the software as its from China. I bought it during my travel there. Dont think that i can get it fixed in my home country either. Please suggest what to do.

Root and try this from Henkates Lineage thread.. You just might find it works for you
write in terminal stop fps_hal and then start fps_hal (you need root access) and open Settings again.
If that doesn't work.. Download firmware using firmware finder

Ok.. Instead of going with the root way then.. Let's try Firmware finder, download it from play store ..open it and choose firmware , download and install after download done..
Or enable Update through DNS within the Firmware finder app and go to phone settings/ update and do a search for update -it should bring an update of your current firmware or newer if available-download and follow instructions to install...
If that fails.. You can pm me I will give you a DC credit to unlock bootloader so that you can root after

Original P9 lite: it acts crazy and restarts, then the battery is drained

Hello,
Few months ago, when the battery was low (just below 20%) my P9 lite started acting crazy: opening/closing apps, pressing buttons, taking pictures, ... Everything so fast that the battery drained in few seconds. After searching the internet I tried changing the battery with an original one. It didn't change anything.
Recently the situation worsened: it seems that the phone fails to detect the real power of the battery. So even if the battery is 50-60%, it can happen that it starts acting crazy or, more recently, restarting all of a sudden. Then it still works, but after a bit it restarts again and the battery now is drained.
Both before changing the battery and now the problem can be easily solved by charging the phone. Connecting the cable stops immediately the phone both acting crazy and restarting.
Anyway, as you can guess, this is quite a problem if you are outside, even with a powerbank. But these restarst are becoming very frustrating even at home.
Beside this, the phone does work well so I think it's a pity to throw it off...
I've tried a hard reset just few days ago but it didn't change anything.
Is it possible to do anything to solve the problem?
Thank you

Yes, the behaviour is more similar to a malware.
It could be an app you recently installed....
A good change is to re-install your same firmware
or possibly to update it to the latest...
You can use Firmware Finder app to do this,
but beware what you do, a wrong firmware
may brick your device.
It's your choice doing this...
Good luck dude.
Cheers

Hello! Excuse me I'm not sure I've understood correclty. I've searched for the Firmware Finder in Play Store, but looking at the comments it seems not working in my country. I've tried to search for the original firmwares in google but it appears I can find only modded versions which requires flashing and other stuff I don't know how to do. I couldn't find a guide for real beginners, is there?
Anyway I've recently done the hard reset on my phone so it shouldn't be an app, is it? Is it possible the firmware is damaged even if I never unlocked or done anything special on my phone?
Thank you!

Ok dude, you don't have to worry.
There are many guides on the web in various forum,
especially here on XDA. What is your current firmware ?
I mean the whole firmware ex. VNS-L21C432B504 / VNS-L23C605B393;
You can try doing this in two ways:
1 - using FF and pointing to your current firmware or updating it to latest if possible;
2 - using HuRUpdater.
This method let you flash whatever version of firmwares,
but you need to unlock the bootloader and use a custom recovery (TWRP)(it cost 4€).
Using FF will not cost money, you should try it first.
Cheers

Hello! Thank you for your help.
I tried to follow your instructions but something went wrong.
My firmware is VNS-L31C432B417, so in FF I've searched VNS-L31C432:
I then pushed the button with the "play" symbol and FF searched for all the six tasks, but it couldn't find any firmware
Did I do something wrong?
Strange fact: searching in the internet for VNS-L31C432B417 I found that, since already 3 months, it is available in my country a new firmware VNS-L31C432B418, but, if I search for updates in the settings section of the phone, this update doesn't show up, saying that my phone is already up to date. Is it normal?

Dude you have the same device i owned.
Don't worry about FF, you simply searched the wrong place...
Tap "Common Base" TAB, write VNS-L31C432 and press on the lens to search ...
You'll see all the firmwares for your variant...
Beware dude, you have B417, it's the latest (for single sim)
and cannot update to B418 (it's for dual sim).
You have to point to your current same firmware.
First thing, delete all the safties (fingerprints/pin/pattern)
and do a backup of all your stuff, just to stay safe...
Make sure you have access to the network and use "Firmware Finder app",
choose B417 FULLOTA-MF, follow the inbuild guide (register the IMEI,
use dns/vpn method). Then go into settings/updates and tap "search for updates"
you should find your update. Tap to download it and when it reaches 5%,
tap pause and disconnect the vpn.
Reactivate the download and complete the reinstallation of the firmware.
Quite similar to THIS GUIDE, just change the firmware with yours...
Edit: I replaced the image because it could not be viewed.
Edit2: re-replaced again the image, still it couldn't be viewed...

Hello!
Sorry I took some time to reply, recently I had to move a lot so I didn't want to take the risk to mess things with the smartphone. Anyway, yesterday I did the reinstallation of the firmware, choosing the VNS-L31C432B417 FullOTA-MF dated 2020.01.13 (I didn't get the difference with the other one dated 2020.01.08, so I choose the most recent).
I followed your guide (thanks!), the only thing I changed is the method: the dns method didn't work so I used the e-recovery mode and it seems that all went well... Except nothing changed. Now, even when the battery is full charged, if I listen to a podcast via speakerphone after a while the phone restarts suddenly.
Is it possible there is something wrong in the hardware?
It's so frustrating because aside from that it works flawless.
Thank you for your help!

Ah yes, the e-recovery mode ... :cyclops:
I had assumed you had already tried it, hence the suggestion for using FF ...
So if after re-installing the software nothing has substantially changed,
then it would be something related to the hardware, honestly I can't tell you.
You could try to bring it to this service point or to a trusted person,
maybe a friend who deals with mobile devices.
Or maybe the time has simply come to replace it with another,
anyway I wish you good luck ...
Cheers

[HELP] Samsung SM-G950F system & Os recovery ?

Hello,
Here is my problem.
2 days ago, I wanted to root my phone to get rid of any Google stuff (at this point I didn't know the existence of ADB commands :crying: ).
I followed a step by step youtube tutorial (youtube.com/watch?v=ZD-5twDm6XI), which works with TWRP, magisk and Odin (factory reset is needed).
Once everything is finished, my phone is finally rooted, and I grant superuser rights to Titanium app to uninstall google, and only SOME apps uninstalled totally (maps, chrome, facebook) BUT google play services won't uninstall. So, I try with System App Removal to uninstall google play stuff, and the same happens.
I reboot my phone, and it seems that everything disappeared... Not so sure... Indeed, the play store reinstall all applications as soon as I connect to the WiFi! and I have a persistent message "google play services stopped" that prevents me from browsing for example.
At this point, I use ADB commands, to remove anything which contains "com.blahblah.google.blahblah" and the play store (com.android.vending) with -k command. And it worked totally fine !!!!! I disconnect my phone, ready to backup my data. Idkw, i wanted to uninstall system app removal. IMPOSSIBLE from the phone, which says : "samsung One UI stopped" (I was in safe boot mode). My phone doesn't answer, so I reboot it.
Once it has booted, the TWRP menu screen appears. Ok, isn't that weird ? I swipe to allow changes, then I go to system to boot "normally" my phone.
A warning says : NO OS INSTALLED !!!! I don't understand, I panic, but finally boots my phone. Black charging screen. Forever.
I started first to flash an "official" Samsung ROM from Sammobile. TWRP indicates it is an invalid .zip, adb too. Odin doesn't manage to boot from the ROM too. I take a deep breathe and cry. Then I download the /e/ ROM which works fine !! but it has become impossible to backup my data from my samsung account....
So, I came to ask you a few things. WHY did it happen ? How can I be sure that there is no trace of TWRP anymore ? However, my phone storage is 64 GB and there is only 53,5 Gb free of internal storage !? Do you think the original firmware could be "hidden" in my files (e ROM is about 800Mos compressed) ?
It is stupid, but after my mistakes, I miss google...
I will do my best to reply asap.
Thank you for your help !
PS: -I'm a newbie in informatic, don't make things too complicated
-sorry for bad English, not my mother language
Google writes and distributes android.
There are many things in android that you cannot remove and still have a viable system.
imho you will have to flash a rom but we need your phones information (found in settings/system/about phone) model, version baseband, etc. etc
Others more knowledgeable can step in and help.

Thank you for your reply ! I've read your article about FRP but I'm afraid it's not my problem...
Here are some of my phone specifications :
model : SM-G950F
version baseband : G950FXXS8DTC1
OS : /e/ version 0.9-p-dev-dreamlte (LineageOS API : Ilama 9)
Android 9
I've been digging the web for ROMs but each time I feel unsecure about it (virus, etc...) so I hope maybe you have something trustworthy

I've been browsing through my root files and folders ( / ) ...
So :
/system is occupied with 2.33 GB
/vendor with 577 MB
/mnt with 9.01 GB
/proc with ... 236.9GB but every under-folder is empty... (explanations welcome !)
/storage is empty
If anyone could check on his device (S8 Exynos with android 9.0 Pie and One UI) if the files' sizes approximately matched, it would be great !
The one I just received is G950FXXS8DTC6 / G950FOXM8DTC1 / G950FXXS8DTC1 (after it took the Apr 1 update) so probably identical - a Yateley GU46 6GG UK phone. I am running it on ATT Prepaid(US) , which gave me the Apr 1 update. I don't know its history but it hasn't been modified - knox=0.
What you would need to do is get that zip and flash it with odin, but having no experience flashing the S8 myself, or any idea where to get that zip, I can be of no help to you. (I just came off a moto x4 which I ruined by flashing a couple custom rom's to try to help others on that forum - the blessings of Pie on that device!)(plus, taking the Apr 1 update on that phone requires a factory reset/wipe.) I needed a dependable phone here and in Europe on vacation.
Keep posting and ask someone to help you re-flash it.
EDIT: I wonder what a settings/general management/factory reset would do. But don't do one until someone here much more experienced with the S8 suggests it.
EDIT: WARNING WARNING WARNING -> Before flashing, ACTIVATE PIN in "Secure startup" (You'll be asked for it AFTER flashing!)
lockscreen and security / secure startup / require pin
I also see a note to delete your google account before doing this. Don't know if necessary.
EDIT: I believe I have found the rom - see pic This is from the SamFirm exe. 0.3.7 I put VOD for the region.
Remember: don't do anything with this until someone experienced in S8 tells you to!
Hi KrisM22,
I've already flashed with Odin, and I have talked about this on different forums, seen tutos on websites,... I hope this time it will work
I have the ROM required, selected activate pin, followed step by step the recommendations, and if I figured it out I will keep you up to date !

I flashed a ROM from https://www.imei.info/download-firmware/samsung/samsung-g950f-galaxy-s8/SM-G950F/ , then I just followed the steps and flashed with Odin. TWRP has disappeared (the classic recovery menu came back). I think I have found my issue with the "no OS installed" bug : it could be because I deleted the essential API com.google.android.packageinstaller, what may have prevented the phone from booting and launching the OS and its apps .
I should have read this excellent post before...
*I ran antivirus analysis with virustotal and Bitdefender, which both declared the extracted files were safe : I didn't notice anything different by my phone compared to the original OS too, so...
