My current provider I think it does not support it, since i have too many com.android.phone wakelocks.
Is there anyway to disable it without root (h870ds)

How can I disable GPRS and UTMS? I mean realy disable, so I cannot use it anymore. (or someone else)
Option 1: Ask your service provider to disable Data on your account,
Option 2: Delete the settings and don't lend your device to anyone,
Option 3: Use a different device.
Why would you want to permanently disable GPRS and UMTS on a device which has those as one of its selling points?
I am wondering if there is any way to send all incoming calls to voicemail when I am using PDAnet to get online. I know there is a PDAnet setting to "allow calls when connected" but even if I uncheck this, calls still come through and discconect my internet.
The reason I'm posting this here is because if something specific to PDAnet isn't available, or possible, is there anything that I can do to the phone to not have incoming calls disconnect my internet connection? I had a Motorola Q for a little while, and there is a "bug" that actually does this automatically (sends call to voicemail while on EVDO). It was a setting in the DEBUG menu, in the field test option, called DDTM, and it was by default on (I think), and so people had to change that to off (could be switched) to allow incoming calls. It was perfect for me though. Now, I think I tried looking for a DDTM setting in the mogul and I had found it a while back, but I dont think it did anything with regard to my situation. So my questions are:
Is there anything with PDAnet that I can do besides the setting I talked about? Registry or something...?
If nothing with PDAnet, then does anyone know how to change the DDTM setting on a mogul? I got into the DEBUG menu (##33284#) and I didnt find any DDTM setting there.
Besides the DDTM setting (since it hasn't worked for me in the past) is there any other method you guys can think of that will do what I want?
Thanks!!
Try going to phone settings > services > mode of operation > change from hybrid to EVDO only.

Click to collapse
Hmm, that does seem to work for my last option. But I cant receive any calls at all when in this mode, so I guess I would have to manually change this each time . Is there any way this entry can be automatically changed somehow with a script or a registry change?
How I dont see mode of operation under services list. This is all I have:
Location setting, Voice Privacy, Network Service, TTY Mode, and Time Sync
Found this on an old thread somewhere.
edit the registry to make that option appear in the services list. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHING\Software\OEM\PhoneSetting
Change HiddenPreferenceMode from 1 to 0
I am on WM6 and the correct registry to change to make the "Mode of Operation" selection appear is: HiddenModeOperationPage (set value to 1 to hide, and 0 to show).
Cheers ...
as above.. i dont want some google maps or weather refresh to kill my wallet !!
any program or tweak to totally disappear data no matter how often programs call for it?
much appreciated
Search this forum for an application called NoData.
Airplane mode?
Use this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=503131
Airplane mode disables everything
oh...since im using prepaid services, is it a must to install the nodata tweaks?
aren't there any data on/off selection under the default settings on the phone?
that is to say, if i did not off the data connections, the phone will automatically engage gprs or sort to update weather and maps which will in turn kill all the credits in my prepaid without me realizing? that's scary...
bsb tweaks let's you disable data connections. Just tried it and when trying to establish a connection it gives me an error telling me it's not possible to go online.
so the tweaks works in another words? i will only be using wifi to go online with hd2..
I am just curious by default what settings are enabled under the Mobile Network Settings option?
Data Enabled
Data Roaming
Access Point Names
Use only 2G networks
Network operators
Those are the options that are available. I changed something by accident and don't remember what was the default settings. If anyone knows that would be greatly appreciated.
Also what are the default settings while on wifi? Thanks
Edit: I think I figured it out, Data enabled should be the only option checked by default. Thanks
Unable to open hidden setting under *#*#4636#*#* on my J1 4G SM-J120G. I have tried these with no results:
Using different phone app, Truecaller, apps like force LTE only which directly open the menu, most of the other codes like*#06#, etc are working but this *#*#4636#*#*. I need it to set my device to 4G/LTE only as it many times automatically goes to 2g even though i have set LTE/3G/2G from settings → Mobile networks. Can anyone help me with this issue.
