Removing Bloatware from (rooted) LG G6? How? - LG G6 Questions and Answers

Hello,
i got my G6 rooted recently, and tried to get rid of the LG Apps like LG Friends and such through the "System App Remover" App from the AppStore, but somehow my phone keeps restoring those apps as soon as i delete them. Does anyone know of a way to get rid of those apps?

If root is confirmed on your phone use an called 3c toolbox give it root access and go to apps manager and delete apps and restart, until you restart they keep showing.

Try Titanium Backup

Thanks, Titanium + rebooting did the trick.

Is there a list of safe to remove/freeze apps?
I tried using the same list from xda for my LGG4 but when I rebooted my phone it bootlooped.

Sprint LG G2 bloatware

Hello,
I own a Sprint LG G2 stock rooted. Is there a way i can remove the bloatware by flashing a file or an app list that shows which apps are safe to be removed?
Thanks in advance.
Titanium Backup is your friend for disabling bloatware. There are threads here that go over what is safe to remove. If nothing else, you can always try freezing things, using the phone for a while to make sure it's still stable, then uninstalling them later.

You could try Root Uninstaller or Link2SD. Freeze the apps you consider bloatware, check if there are any strange bugs occuring with your system (force closes and so on) and then finally remove them. Freezing them first allows you to restore the apps if something goes wrong
I tried some in playstore didnt worked for me Now I'm trying Debloater for Gatesjunior.
Are u rooted? Have u tried Titanium Backup?
Yeah, titanium backup. But you can't freeze apps unless you have the pro version
Your phone must be rooted first.
I used the CF-Auto-Root on Lollipop (5.0.1) on my GT-i9505 with CCleaner.
I removed many Apps, my space went from 1,53GB used to like 670MB. ~
No Tool buddy but I am on my new Bloatware List for Android 5.0.x...

Anyway to restore APPS+DATA to LG G6 without Titanium Backup?

Seeing as how to there is no ROOT access on the G6 yet and titanium backup is not an option because of that, I have been having difficulty transferring my apps (Plus their data) from my old LG G3 to my LG G6. I've tried using Clockworkmod Helium, that didn't work. It just says its restoring, and then when the progress bars finish and it says "restore complete" the apps aren't even there in my app drawer... Is there any other way to restore APPS+DATA without root other than Helium? If anyone knows a way, please tell me, I would highly appreciate it. I have been at work trying to get this done for the past 3 days now...

I appreciate you making a suggestion to try to help. But as I stated in my OP, I tried helium and it just goes through the progress bars, but doesn't actually restore the apps onto the phone. I'm not sure why its doing this... Apparently other people are having the same problem with Helium (In the reviews for it they are saying it is doing the same thing)
My apologies. Maybe I should slow my reading down.
Had a similar problem with helium. I just kept getting an error. Tried the LG transfer app, but that ended up being "damaged." Ended up just restoring my Nova settings and quickly taking screen shots of my apps and their folders and having to manually download them. Painful, but it got the job done.

LG Backup does a pretty good job, but I do tend to lose some data. Upgraded from a LG G4.
LG mobile switch (formerly LG Backup) has the ability to backup to your SD card, then put the SD card in the G6 & restore the backup via LG Mobile Switch to the new phone. Pretty simple.

I can confirm that isn't working on h870, it say "restore complete" but it does nothing at all
too many app to restore...only way is rooting+titanium backup (and lose the warranty), I think...
I've restored some apps data using helium from Nexus 5x to G6. I've to install the apps first on the G6, then perform a restore from PC using browser. My backup is data only.

Titanium backup issues

Can anyone get titanium backup to work? I keep getting insufficient
Working fine but you have to uninstall the app then install it every 1 time your going to use it . That or delete data in the app settings which results in the same thing
Now its working... Who knows.
Yep.. works great for me

I'm on Oreo and titanium is running fine...
Tried it and saved all apps and after deleting one I was able to restore back.
Still having issues. After flashing a new ROM I can't restore... Does anyone else have this issue?
No option to restore
No issues here.. mine shows up as normal.. are you rooted?
