Wrong thread, buddy.
Besides, every single ROM is basically skinned LineageOS with cherrypicked AOKP/Slim/etc. commits. Some ROMs, such as Invicta, do have a slightly different and/or optimized kernel, but performance and battery for all ROMs is nothing different from stock Lineage.

After testing allmost all official custom roms I went back to the stock Motorola rom, because for me it runs rock stable and I never had problems with it at all unlike some Lineage based roms.
Maybe have a look at the debloated, optimized RevivorOS based on the latest stock rom: https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/development/rom-npjs25-93-14-4-deodexed-debloated-t3587180

The Moto E3 Power released just a few days ago in India, and there has been a huge market for low-end smartphones here. I've bought one myself, just because of the VoLTE support!
I was wondering if this is the same as the Moto E3, and if not, will we be getting a separate forum for it? I would love to see some development happening on this great phone It has caught my widespread attention for being so smooth and low-cost, a real beauty by Lenovo.
there is no difference in both devices ....both are same....... and it has the worst cpu that is mediateck ....no one uses it.... it is just a laggy phone................in starting it will work great but after months .... u will urself notice laggings
Lol I am using a mediatek chipset device since 1 year and haven't noticed a minor lag while playing any high end games like GtA sa or MC4-5 and while multitasking.

I have posted links of the stock rom for all models of XT1706 in another thread. Can this kernel development be of any use? https://github.com/profglavcho/mt6735-kernel-3.10.61

Thanks for this thread. This is exactly what I've been wondering too. I am on CM based RR ROM and even though the idea of using nougat is quite appealing I'm not sure how much it's worth the whole hassle, specially given I'm too used to RR's huge set of features.
I'll check back to see if someone's answered, and surely post back if I've struck luck with a custom nougat ROM, though I have a feeling it might take some time before a custom athene ROM such as CM or CM based rolls out, and prolly it's worth the wait if I don't have to go back to stock ROM for just a few odd extra features which have largely been ported through mods/apps and implemented in custom ROMs already.

Agreed.
It will take a while for people to start working on Nougat based ROMs. From what I understand, devs are still perfecting the CM bases MM ROMs, which requires a lot of time and effort.
I don't see any Nougat ROM anytime soon, at least not as a stable daily driver. I'm sure our devs are equally thrilled but let's wait it out a little!

There is CM14 on AFH And it's uploaded by @regalstreak ...!!
Don't know anything how it works or why he haven 't shared on XDA...
Edit: It Doesn't boot... Don't use...

That's Linux
Firstly, a ROM with no Android makes no sense. Even if any ROM looks like iOS/Windows or others, the base is always Android.
Exceptions do exist like the link above mentioned by @strongst and Ubuntu and others but only if someone develops/ports them for athene (None for now).

Just check the ROMs, Recoveries, Kernels (Development) Section. We have ROMs varying from Android MM 6.0.1 to N 7.1 .
Btw, majority of the MM ROMs aren't updated so see for yourself. :good:
Go buy a windows phone.

No development is going in Alberto's thread.
I tried also extented.but didn't like it.
Unfortunately there is no pure Android for Osprey that is well maintained...
I would suggest Lineage OS, its the closest to it you will find. I've used pretty much any rom avaliable from this forum, however the majority the roms are heavily tweaked and filled with custom settings.
Lineage OS - This is likely the closest to pure you'll find still has small tweaks here and there

This thing bothers me alot that Moto G3, even G2 I think has Android 10 ROMs, so I was thinking if it's possible to install another phones ROM into a different phone. I was thinking of installing Moto G3's Lineage 17.1, I know that it can be really unstable, but if it's possible, please tell me how ?
