[QUESTION] 6.0.1 for SM-A300M? - Galaxy A3, A5, A7, A8, A9 Q&A, Help & Troubleshoot

Hi, I have an sm-a300FU, that has mirrorlink, since I have a stock 6.0.1 rom on it. I have a friend with a SM-A300M, which is a latin america variant, and that variant doesn't have official 6.0.1, I don't know why. I've installed the cyanogenmod 13.1 rom that I've found here, but I didn't find that option anywhere. I've tried several methods of activating it but no luck whatsoever.
He wants to have mirrorlink since he has a mirrorlink enabled car. I've searched everywhere but nothing works. Has somebody tried to flash a SM-A300FU stock rom onto a SM-A300M? Will it brick it?

No? Anyone? No one tried a different variant firmware?

I don't know if you actually searched for this or not, but if you didn't, you should have. Anyway, try this.

[Q] Stuck with no gapps 9006v

I know there are already some threads about this but none can solve my issue. I both S5 9006v (China Unicom) from China and didn't know it's not coming with Google apps. Already updated to lollipop 5.0, rooted and installed custom recovery. I tried flashing different gapps and while some are installed I can't find adding Google account in account section.
I don't want to flash custom Rom as there's only one for this model and I don't trust it. Any idea how I can add gapps to my phone please?

Installing Different FIrmware

I own an International Samsung S5 (Exynos Variant) So i was wondering if i could install the S5 Neo firmware on my phone as it is on Lollipop 5.1.1 and is far better performing than my sluggish lollipop 5.0
I am not a newbie to this just don't know what will happen if i flash different firmware. I am currently rooted and running a custom rom.

Greetings,
I've moved your question to your device's Q&A forum so you can get your question answered by the experts.
Most likely though, no, you shouldn't flash anything on your device that isn't specifically made for your device.
Good luck!
Thanks for replying! Its just that if somebody can tell me what are the main components of a rom like kernel, libraries, etc so that i can create a new rom or maybe just port some features of S6 but i need the help with framework.
Most definitely DO NOT flash firmware from another phone variant other than those designed for you model. You will encounter problems or brick your phone.

There never was one. Only 6.0.1
Then I guess I'm not getting past this FRP. The phone wont recognise the OTG cable or show up on SideSync.
Does anyone have this or other SM-J700P stock rom for Boost that has Knox enabled? I have tried a couple of custom ROM's and they all fail and am wondering if it has to do with Knox.

SM-G3608 custom firmware or root?

I know this question has been asked already but I was wondering if anybody can tell me if the TWRP and other variant firmware are compatible with this device.
Some background, I received this phone as an exchange for an S3 mini that I took into a repair shop, as the mechanic had lost all the working parts of my original phone.
I have updated all the apps and it appears to be working well, it's just that I would like to update the firmware to something newer, such as the 5.1.1 from the g361f or at least the 5.0.2 from the g360h.
Perhaps one of the guys in the forum are a samsung expert and could explain to me what the differences are between the variants and why flashing firmware from another version may or may not work.
P.S. I am familiar with Odin and have flashed many other Samsung phones with both stock and custom firmware.
Thanks in advance.
